PUNCHAHOLICS ANONYMOUS FIGHT CARD

"So called 'plus size models' haven't really made it in the FCBA, and the reason is obvious. If they had any discipline, they wouldn't be 'plus size,' they'd just be models. I think most of them have the good sense to stay out, but I guess Robyn isn't really smart enough to recognize the pattern, so she's squished a few no names with her ass and decided that she's a big deal." Estella Warren ended the interview shortly after, but did propose the formation of a mutually beneficial "containment league" that would keep plus size models out while still allowing them to compete against each other "where no one would have to look at them."

Robyn Lawley did not seem bothered by her opponent's statement. "Estella shouldn't really talk. When you only fight every year or so, you don't get to whine about qualifications." In fact, she seemed to have trouble even coming up with things to say about Warren at all. "So have you heard that Cat Bell is going to fight me? I guess that's happening. Personally, I think she can spare a day overseas to slug it out with Jessie J -- win there, look a little bit more believable, lose, you saved yourself a worse beating. I don't really pay attention to stats though." Lawley went on to run out the clock on the interview by talking about her average post-fight rituals.

The setup to the fight was uneventful, but led to disagreement nonetheless. Warren, entering the ring in red sports bra and trunks, was generally thought to be underrated, with her last match a victory against very recently welterweight champion Bridget Regan. However, forcing the model to stand next to Lawley, in blue athletic wear, caused an immediate jump in the taller model's stock merely due to the glaring size difference.

Round 1:
The opening seconds of the round saw a collected, prepared Lawley blindsided by a berserk Warren. General pandemonium ensued for the following few moments; Lawley attempted several new tactics per second awkwardly while her ribs and chin paid the price. Eventually, the taller model drove Warren off, disappointing the crowd but scoring sighs of relief from her corner. Lawley continued to resist, but as the reactor rather than the actor, keeping the shorter model back temporarily until her inevitable rebound. The break saw Lawley sulk and glare at Warren while Amy Acker attempted to superficially patch her up.

Round 2:
Warren managed to shoot off just as many fireworks in the second round, but to less effect. Generally stalled and frustrated in the opening by Lawley, Warren managed to explode again shortly after, only to catch a fist to the cheek with enough force to shake her body and immediately think better of it. Warren made another attempt towards the finish after a close, uneventful period, this time scoring more hits, but not enough to swing the round back.

Round 3:
Warren put in another intense performance in the third round, only to hit a road block as Lawley was able to respond efficiently. It seemed that both models had run out of ways to surprise the other, causing the fight to grind to a relative halt even as both fighters gave it everything. Several small breakthroughs gave Warren the round on points, but Lawley was not looking particularly battle damaged during the break, and seemed to react as if the fight was perfectly under control despite the current score.

Round 4:
The fourth round continued to play to expectations in terms of fighter behavior; both quickly moved to engage and continue the action. The surprise came when Warren moved in and caught a hook on the chin solidly. Warren blinked, and in that time Lawley slammed a fist into the shorter model's mouth, knocking her head back and leaving a slow trickle of blood dripping from her lip. More importantly, Warren's strategy seemed to have stalled, and Lawley was happy to fill the space she had left open. While Warren effectively fought back, her slow decline throughout the round's remainder seemed inevitable as Lawley battered her savagely.

Round 5:
General expectations were low for Warren entering the fifth. However, the veteran model exceeded them thoroughly in an early exchange, striking her taller opponent under the eye firmly and getting away with it. Shortly after this was written off as variance; Lawley landed a direct hit to the head, stopping Warren in her tracks, and the follow up series of swings went borderline uncontested. Warren swayed for a moment before tipping forward, and Lawley smiled and stepped aside to allow the unconscious model to fall at her feet. Head turned to the side, with her lips parted and face distorted by the mat, Warren slept through the count, giving Lawley the KO5.

Lawley could not be more pleased with herself as Warren was slowly revived. Smiling, the winner approached Warren's corner, where the dazed loser sat. Warren's entourage, deciding that it was better to be safe than sorry, gently but firmly shooed Lawley away, who complied with a disappointed look on her face. However, there was no sign of any ill intentions during her statement to the press. "Did you see that?" said Lawley excitedly, pointing to her swollen eye gained at the start of the fifth round. "I thought she was going to just fall over on her own, and then bam! I guess she wasn't in the mood to talk right now, but I'll call her when she's feeling better."
