Olivia Wilde versus Shelley Hennig
(Words: Bazz / Results: Lookout!)

Before: “I’ve followed her career and it’s been quite good. She even has a couple of undefeated years wedged in there, which is pretty rare in this league so Livi’s has been one successful fighter. Still this league is a grind and 2015 seems to be the year that it all has caught up to Livi. She’s lost twice and it seems that Bazz may have benched her since she hasn’t fought since the spring. I plan on pressing that advantage tonight. There’s only so much a girl can take and I plan on applying some serious pressure and putting another loss in Livi’s right hand column, so let’s go!” Shelley Hennig seems to be busting with enthusiasm and confidence as she explains her strategy and her opponent Olivia Wilde, who stands to the side behind her podium looking her over with with classic Olivia Wilde attitude, a face showing absolutely no emotion at all.

“Livi? Really? Livi?” Is all Olivia Wilde will allow as she rolls her eyes and shakes her head, much akin to one of the cool girls at school taking down a nerd for daring to enter her realm. It’s all the reporters and fans are going to get as she saunters off the stage.

Hennig looking splendid in a white bikini with black gloves and boxing shoes. Wilde a sumptuous treat in a signature Bazz black leather bikini, matching calf boots and gloves. Both girls have their hair back in tight fight ready ponytails.

Rd 1 Wilde out smooth as silk dancing around Hennig and then lunging in with a crisp jab to the noggin. Bazz girl leading with her left leg, planting and then snapping out crisp jabs one after another. Shelley looking confused and disheveled at the outset trying to defend herself against such a quick fluid assault. Wilde trying to pour it on now but Hennig is not having anything to do with an early exit. She’s combating “Livi” by moving laterally to beat each lunge and trying to counter with a right cross at the climax of each assault. Both fighters standing at mid ring now trading punches. Hennig showing off some power in contrast to Wilde’s quick punching and agility. Each fighter a picture perfect example of leggy warfare. Fight seemingly evening out at the end of the round but Wilde’s gorgeous aggression at the start of the fight gets her the points.

Rd 2 Hennig encouraged by the last minute of round 1 faces off against Olivia determined to keep her from running away with the fight. Shelley jabbing straight ahead scoring with a number of her punches. Wilde jabbing in and out on the younger fighter trying to keep the fight on the move. Hennig staying low using her punches up on the midsection. Wilde getting tagged a few times as she picks her way into Hennig’s wheelhouse. Shelley tries to land a right hand but misses as Wilde easily moves away with a shimmy to her right. Hennig keeps at it stalking the limber brunette Joe Frazier style bobbing up and down and side to side making Wilde miss and then returning her own jabs and scoring more often. Shelly staying low moves in but gets stung by a Wilde right hand, a reminder of the pain that the Bazz girl can bring. The end of the round has both girls trading punches again. Both are effectively scoring with jabs and right hands but Henning has been more effective throughout the round.

Rd 3 Shelley out with confidence for this round no longer wary of Wilde’s quick punching. Her straight ahead style seems to be holding off Olivia and she is scoring with regularity. Shelley moving towards Wilde snapping off jabs while Wilde fireflies her way to each side of Shelley popping off with her own jabs. Both girls trading punches now with the crowd on its feet. Shelley seemingly able to ignore Wilde’s ability to move about the ring and hit her from different angles. Shelley still straight ahead moves in with a jab and tags Wilde on the chin! Head naps back and legs give a shake as Wilde retreats to the ropes. Hennig in heavy with right hands to the body and then working her way up trying to catch Wilde to the head as the Bazz girl is covered up with elbows to ears and fists in front of her face. Henning working out hard on Wilde with the crowd going crazy for an early upset. Wilde catching some serious punishment from Hennig who is mixing things up with right hands that are crashing down on her kidney and then head and now a flurry that includes some left hand bombs as well, bushwacking Wilde while she protects against the right hand. Brown haired Bazz beauty seems to barely weather the storm as the bell rings. Shelley carefully looks over Wilde while she makes her way to her corner no doubt checking to see what sort of damage she has done.
Meanwhile Bazz’ Poindexter Del Crunchy is up in between rounds with Wilde. There seems to be the typical sardonic pep talk that Pointy is famous for while Olivia gets worked on.

Rd 4 Shelley out to end things this round. Since the first round she’s had her way with Olivia and she’s bouncing up and down with supreme confidence right now. Hennig moving straight in again but Wilde makes her get on her bicycle by dancing backwards retreating around the ring. Shelley’s up for the workout keeping her hands up and moving after the elusive Olivia. Shelley jabbing hard but Wilde is making her miss and then leaning in every so often and connecting with her own left hand. Hennig seems perplexed trying to figure how to connect on a retreating opponent who is then able to strike out at her all while on her back foot. It’s a skill Shelley hasn’t faced before and it shows as she misses badly on a couple of her punches. “Livi” seems to be back in the ballgame using the entirety of the ring. The Wildegirl is keeping serious space between her and Shelley now leaning in with a left when she sees an opening. Olivia is even rope a doping whenever Henning gets her cornered. She’s tiring her out and then maneuvering out with a deft sidestep. At the end of the round Shelley is starting to show frustration as Wilde regains control.

Rd 5 Olivia saunters out to mid ring looking like a new girl. She’s drenched in sweat and enjoying her work now. Shelley moves in with her straight ahead power play but gets poked with two jabs as Olivia moves to a sharp angle and attacks. Wildegirl giving a shimmy one way or the other dodging some errant punches coming in from her opponent. Hennig desperately trying to remain relevant as she continues to charge in on Olivia not really knowing what else to do but the Bazz girl has Shelley’s strategy down now and she’s letting her ring agility take charge. Wilde now able to return to her first round game plan planting a curvy leg and slipping a jab right at Shelley’s noggin with an elegant lunge. The process repeats itself over and over with Wilde taking complete control. Hennig covering up on the ropes now and Wilde is standing her ground right in front of her nearly helpless opponent showing an uncanny ability to get her left hand in on Shelley. The one sided assault has become a routine until Wilde throws a change up with a powerful right hand to the side of Shelley’s torso. The crowd ooohs and aaaghs at the sight of Henning bending over to her left side just as the bell ring.

Rd 6 Shelley out trying to look game but the bendy brunette is still hurt. Wilde circling, grinning much like a sharp fanged predator. She’s looking to end this as she moves in zipping some sharp combinations at her opponent. Olivia looking all pretty doing her work, eyes shining bright while she ducks and dives around some haymakers being thrown by Shell. Hennig no longer the leggy ingenue just another victim for Olivia who all at once strikes like a cobra, a left knocking back the brunette’s head and a right that looks like a twin of the one thrown at the end of the last round sinking into the brunette’s torso. Shelley crumples forward to her knees. HENNIG IS DOWN! Resting on her hands and knees as the ref counts Shelley is trying to think about whether she should get back up. Wilde’s respect meter for the girl goes up significantly as Shelley gets to her feet and takes an eight count. Both girls start swinging with gusto but Wilde is fluid coordination compared to Hennig’s plodding attack. She’s stepping in fence post holes trying to cover up against the experienced Bazz girl. Henning hoping to last till the next round but it’s not to be. Wilde lunges with her jab once again and with her right hand cocked and ready for launch Shelley covers up her left side only to catch Wilde’s right cross to the chin. HENNIG IS DOWN AGAIN! This time there’s no comeback. Shelley Hennig is laid out on her back with her arms over her face while the ref counts her out. KO 6th round for Olivia Wilde!

After: Olivia stands by while Shelley’s corner lifts her up and gets her back to her stool. At one point the two speak briefly with Wilde putting a hand against the new girl’s head. Asked what she said to Hennig, Olivia responds “I told her she fought well and that she should keep at it but I doubt she understood a word I said.” The sultry brunette smirks. “Look she’s good. She has a good strong punch and some agility but you can’t make it in this league with only one pitch. You’ve got to be able to do more than move straight in like a herd of Huns. She’ll figure it out.” Olivia then turns to a smiling Poindexter Del Crunchy and states loudly “Hey Pointy! Bridgy’s not the only Bazz girl with a nasty right hand now is she?”
