Tracy Spiridakos versus Sasha Pieterse (Words: Bazz / Results: Lookout!)
Before: “You know for all the other fights I’ve had all the other PLPs behind me. They’re great and they’ve got my back for this one too but I can’t help getting the feeling that this one is big time and I’m kind of on my own. I mean this is Bazz Fight Club. I’m up against one of their top bantams and I’m not saying that this is make or break time but this is a big step up. I’m more than a little nervous.” Sasha explains from her perch at the podium.
“She’s a nice girl. I like her but this is business and I’m here to win. Sasha talks about feeling the pressure, well there are four of us at Bazz with Jilly Wags stepping down in weight every once in a while so competition to be the top dog just at our club is scary. I need to be on my toes.” Tracy retorts and then steps down ready to go.
Sasha looking taut in a white bikini with white gloves and white boxing shoes while Tracy makes the contrast clear coming out in Bazz black bikini, gloves and calf boots. Both girls letting their hair hang loose and tangly.
Rd 1 Tracy out like a bulldog on a meat wagon. Straight in full of aggression. She’s jabbing hard at the Pretty Little Puncher trying to take the fight right to her and further intimidate her. Sasha looks tentative taking some punishment from Tracy at first. Pieterse backing up against the aggressive Spiridakos trying to stay out of her wheel house. Tracy not afraid to give chase trying to corner Pieterse and punish her body. Spiridakos cuts off the ring and any escape for Sasha. Bazz girl corners her against the ring and begins banging away at the body. Sasha holding her off as best as she can. The bell rings with the advantage to Spiridakos.
Rd 2 Both girls out strong. Sasha’s corner seems to have talked their fighter out of the butterflies and she looks more game. She’s covering up and launching jabs with confidence against Spiridakos but her opponent is crafty. Tracy dodges jabs and breaks through hitting up Pieterse with her own combinations. Exchanges are going the Bazz girl’s way with Pieterse backing up once again. Spiridakos showing agility learned from chasing Michalka and Wilde around the training ring dodging Sasha and then landing her own punches. Sasha not panicking keeps up the pressure on Tracy picking off her hard to find noggin and landing some nice right hands to the body. While Sasha has closed the gap she’s still shut out on rounds as the bell signals the end to this one.
Rd 3 Spiridakos all business for this round while amazingly Pieterse remains upbeat squaring off against the physically strong Bazz girl. Both girls circling snapping off jabs and scoring quite often against each other. Pieterse looking impressive now bringing the crowd into what has been a one sided brawl so far. Spiridakos working on the body showing her jab as bait and then trying to score with right hand crosses and uppercuts. Sasha dodges a jab and sidesteps a right hand counters with her own left right combination that stuns Spiridakos. Crowd on its feet now sensing that this may turn into a competitive fight. Sasha on the offensive snapping off a few more quick jabs the slow down a grinding Spiridakos. While the fighting is close the round goes to Sasha.
Rd 4 Tracy more determined than ever to take control of the fighting comes right at Sasha scoring with a strong combination but Sasha turns her own right hand cross that looks more an afterthought than a planned counter that catches Spiridakos on the temple. Tracy seems in a funk as the right hand has taken its toll. Sasha having her way with Spiridakos now forcing her up against the ropes and throwing uncontested combinations at her. Tracy covering up letting her arms and gloves absorb the punishment coming in from the Pretty Little Puncher. Still some of Sasha’s punches are sneaking in causing Spiridakos’ head to rock back. Spridakos happy to allow Pieterse the round and stay against the ropes and counter from there.
On her stool Tracy gets some smelling salts and a stern lecture from Poindexter Del Crunchy, a horrifying place to be for any member of the Bazz Fight Club.
Rd 5 Sasha out looking like there isn’t worry in the world until she throws a right hand and doesn’t cover up allowing Tracy to throw a two punch combination that no one thought that the Pretty Little Puncher could survive. Spiridakos’ left hand lead that snaps the head back and the right hand uppercut follows that seems to take off Sasha’s pretty little chin. Tracy in control now as it’s Sasha’s turn to get on the bicycle and go on full retreat. Spiridakos more patient than her opponent waiting for an opening that will bring about a maximum of pain. When Sasha takes the bait from a series of jabs and covers up her face Tracy lowers the boom with a right hand to the body. Round ends with Spiridakos basically standing in front of Pieterse launching bombs and somehow the Pretty Little Puncher survives.
Rd 6 Spiridakos not allowing any room for error at this point. She’s out conservatively looking to build on the last round. She’s stalking Pieterse leading her into dropping her guard and scoring to the head or making her cover up high and scoring at the liver and kidneys. Pretty Little Puncher seems to be fading as the round winds on Spiridakos seems to be setting up Sasha. She has the Pretty Little Puncher up against the ropes again working hard to get her to fall. Pieterse countering as best she can between covering up and dodging Spiridakos punches. Suddenly Pieterse launches an overhand right that catches Tracy on the forehead. DOWN GOES SPIRIDAKOS! Tracy looking all smooth and in control gets caught with an over hand counter punch and ends up on her buttocks. A stunned Tracy Spiridakos gets up as quickly as she was knocked down and endures a standing eight count. She can’t wait to get back into it but Sasha is back. Pretty Little Puncher is amazed and energized. The two fighters trade punches with Pieterse more than holding her own and stealing the round.
Pretty Little Puncher corner is alive with jabbering lightweights and bantams looking to add their two cents to a reinvigorated Sasha Pieterse until the corner man chases them away like someone trying to clear the potato salad of flies at a company picnic. Meanwhile Spiridakos is beside herself with rage at having let the lone punch sail through and knock her down.
Rd 7 Tracy seeing red as she makes her way to center ring looking to turn the tide while Sasha seems more calm. Both fighters are hurting from strong punching from their opponents at this point in the fight. Tracy calming herself and going back to the short in close punching that took her through the first two rounds with ease. She’s down low getting in close to Sasha throwing jabs and trying to sneak right hooks into the body. Sasha backing up until she plants and jabs back at Tracy following up with a whip of a right hand that catches Spiridakos. DOWN GOES SPIRIDAKOS AGAIN! Sasha right hand catches Tracy’s jaw knocking her head sideways and sending her to a crumpled heap. Tracy trying to get to feet as count gets to ten and it’s over. Winner with a Rd 7 KO! Sasha Pieterse!
After: Sasha jumping up and down like a pretty little girl in front of a Christmas tree. “My goodness what a fight! There were times when I thought that I was just hanging on but my corner and my girls just told me to hang in there and I would get my chances which I did! Boy that Bazz bench is strong over there just look at Regan, Michalka, Wilde, Scerbo and the rest of them over there but I’ve got my girls too, right here!” Sasha starts to celebrate with the other PLPs and then accepts congratulations from a gracious Tracy Spiridakos. Walking out of the ring and refusing to talk to the press. Afterwards reports are that an enraged Spiridakos was out of control getting a hold of a Cassie Scerbo pudding bowl full of the chocolate fudge goodness and dumping it on a snarking fan and then terrorizing a band that had been hired by The Wiz to play polka music in between fights. Later one of the members interviewed tearfully recounted “First she called me a disgrace to tuba playing and then she kneed me right where it hurts and down I went.” At present the all inquiries to the commissioner have gone unanswered but most reporters are anxiously awaiting any and all disciplinary announcements.
