ANOTHER IFFI PROPOSITION AT THE ASYLUM

BEFORE:

"I was wondering if the invite back to Asylum would EVER come," says Emmanuelle with a devastating smile. "After I gave Stewart all she could handle, then derailed Graham, I thought Wiz put me on the 'ignore' list, so I'm happy to be back. And, just so it's clear, I hope to be invited back again, even though I'm going to beat Graham again tonight."

"You know, I'm getting sick of hearing about Emmanuelle Chriqui," says Kat with a shake of the head. "Yeah. I know. I had her. I was dominating her. And I got sloppy and let her off the hook. Well. Not this time. This time I finish the job."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Wanna Say' you hear and that can only mean that the singer of that tune, 'The Liberian Lynx', Kat Graham, is on her way to the ring..."

Cassie: "Graham, of course, coming down first tonight, because she lost the first fight between these two, and, as always, Uncle Wiz shows class and follows proper boxing etiquette..."

McCarthy: "The only class Weirdo knows about is being the class dunce, because he has the hat for it..."

Tess: "And, of course, Mac would remember when dunce caps were used, back in the 50s..."

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up boys! Graham into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal that bright yellow number she likes, and that's 'Detroit Rock City' you hear behind us, and that means IFFI's own Emmanuelle Chriqui is on her way to the ring..."

Tess: "Chriqui, if course, was a participant in one of the very first Asylums back in 2011..."

McCarthy: "Ahh, the good old days, when this was a two-woman booth. Just two Hall of Famers, Jenny O'Dell and Mac The Knife! Those were the days..."

Cassie: "You mean the days when there was no one but Jenny to point out that you aren't a Hall of Famer?"

McCarthy: "I AM a Hall of Famer! I'm the Greatest Fighting Playmate of all time! I should be in the Hall! I demand a recount! I demand a recount!"

Cassie: "Any idea what she wants us to count again?"

Tess: "Absolutely none..."

McCarthy: "It's all WALMART'S fault! She's blackballing me from that Hall of Fame because she's jealous of my fame and beauty! That's what it is! Just jealousy!"

Tess: "That and you not meeting the qualifications..."

McCarthy: "Those qualifications are CRAP! I didn't win sixty percent of my fights? How about all the times I was ROBBED? Add those in and I'm at 70 percent easy! This is UNFAIR! I'll SUE! I'll SUE! Siri, call my lawyer!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Emmanuelle into the ring and helped off with the robe by the IFFI corner crew. She's also wearing yellow, but with a white floral print. And she's clearly in great shape as usual. Ladies about ready. Let's get some picks. Tess likes Kat. Mac?"

McCarthy: "You'd BETTER call me back as soon as you get this, Harry Mason, or you are FIRED!"

O'Dell: "Mac!"

McCarthy: "Chriqui beat her once. She'll beat her again!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Here we go. Graham right to work with those legs. This is the thing I like best about Kat, she's so athletic, so quick. She moves extremely fluidly and has exceptional hand speed. In fact, as I've pointed out before, she reminds me a lot of someone in this booth..."

McCarthy: "Well, I AM extremely quick and I move better than any bantam in the FCBA. But, of course, I'm a lot bigger and stronger than someone like Graham..."

Tess: "She was referring to Cassie..."

McCarthy: "What? I'm quicker than Scabbo's EVER been..."

Cassie: "I'll not only snatch the pebble from your hand, Mac, I'll stick it up your nose before you notice it's gone."

McCarthy: "Just you TRY it, Scabbo, and I'll..."

O'Dell: "A-HEM! Can we concentrate ON THE RING? Because, if we can, you'll see that speed and movement I'm talking about, and how Graham's using them to control the first round of this fight. Kat circling, bouncing, snapping the jab. Chriqui trying to square her up, but can't get it done..."

Tess: "And, this is exactly how a lot of the first fight went. Kat controlled the fight almost completely, but Emmanuelle just hung in, worked hard, and finally managed to catch her..."

O'Dell: "She's not catching much more than air right now. Graham, though, not committing on much. It's all jab and move, all about the legs. She's scoring repeatedly with the left, but not following up much with the right..."

Cassie: "Definitely tactical stuff. She's measuring Chriqui, seeing how she responds, testing her reaction times with the hands and feet. Emmanuelle very patient, landing the odd counter, but Kat definitely having the better of things..."

O'Dell: "That she is and right to the bell. Graham solid in the first, grabbing the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the second. Kat circling, jabbing. Chriqui patient, looking to match footwork and get off in combination. Lots of movement on both sides now, as Kat probes with the left and Chriqui, moving very well herself, tries to create angles and openings to land some leather."

McCarthy: "Pace has slowed here, and I think Chriqui's getting it slowed down. She's got the guard high, she's moving the head very well. She's making Graham work hard to get the left on target."

O'Dell: "Is at that. Kat still finding it some, though. Still landing a good percentage, but she's not as active, spending more time looking for openings than filling them with leather."

Tess: "And, this is where Chriqui did have success in the first fight. When she could get this pace, where her tactical ability, her slickness, could come into play, she was able to grab a round here and there."

O'Dell: "And, she IS slick, no question about that. Chriqui knows how to box, how to set up punches, how to cause girls to miss, and how to take advantage of those misses. And, that's what she's doing now. Graham, though, not missing much, she's just not punching as much as she did in the first. Ten seconds to go in the second. Jab from Kat, right hand counter from Emmanuelle, and there's the bell. Close. Chriqui."

Cassie: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Into the third now and more movement from Kat. Graham just a blur right now, everywhere and nowhere, those jabs just LASHING out at Chriqui. Emmanuelle very defensive in this stanza, keeping the gloves high, looking to counter when she can, but it's Graham asserting full control now..."

Cassie: "Definitely shades of the first fight between these two. Kat fighting lead, Emmanuelle patient in the counter."

O'Dell: "Graham turning up the heat a little as this round moves along, though. Maybe not going to be content to roll up points this time. She's stopping and popping. Putting together big flurries. Chriqui firing back hard in counter and GRAHAM LANDS A HARD RIGHT! Chriqui wobbled. BIG left from Kat and Emmanelle nearly goes down! Graham going all in now, backing up a dazed Chriqui with flurry after flurry..."

McCarthy: "Graham needs to settle down, set these punches up. Getting too aggressive. Missing too much."

O'Dell: "But, she's landing enough to get Chriqui backed to the ropes and keep her there. And she's also landing enough to ROCK Chriqui with that right hand! Emmanuelle wobbled with twenty seconds to go! Chriqui in desperate trouble as Graham ups the pace even more! It's just a blizzard of leather flying at Emmanuelle as the referee looks in closely. Ten seconds. Five seconds. Bell! Big round for Kat Graham, but Chriqui stays on her feet..."

Cassie: "And, despite a great round by her opponent, trails only 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Graham right back after Chriqui. Kat intent on finishing this time. She's all over the older woman, buzzing punches at her with both hands. Emmanuelle giving ground, keeping the hands high, looking to counter, but mostly staying on the defensive..."

McCarthy: "Graham still too aggressive. She's too sloppy, missing too much..."

O'Dell: "But, again, she's landing plenty as well, forcing Emmanuelle back. Chriqui giving ground and WOBBLING GRAHAM WITH A RIGHT! A beautifully placed counter from Chriqui and Graham GOBSMACKED!"

McCarthy: "I TOLD you. Too sloppy and it cost her!"

O'Dell: "And, now it's Emmanuelle over to the offensive in a heart beat. She's backing up Kat with hard left jabs, dropping in right hands, setting everything up nicely..."

Cassie: "This is what we talked about about Chriqui. Very patient. Never hurried. She has time in this round, and she knows it."

O'Dell: "And, she also knows she's got Graham in trouble. Kat managed to stay off the ropes for awhile, but she's trapped there now in a high guard, covering up, countering when she can, but taking a lot of leather, and plenty of it landing solidly. Chriqui definitely looking to finish now, but in a more disciplined way. But, like Graham in the third, the clock is going to run out on her. There's the bell. Chriqui wide after quite the turn around."

Tess: "And, we're even at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Chriqui right back to the offensive. Graham still not looking like having the legs all the way back, and Emmanuelle going to take full advantage of that. She's zeroing in with the left hand, backing Graham up with solid rights. Kat willing to give ground. Not showing that movement we saw earlier..."

Cassie: "And she needs to find a way to get some of that going. She's too stationary right now, too easy for Chriqui to line up..."

O'Dell: "Good right hand from Chriqui..."

McCarthy: "And Graham's buzzed again!"

O'Dell: "She is! Emmanuelle a solid right cross and Graham backed up and wobbled! Chriqui again coming forward, forcing Graham back to the ropes immediately this time. Kat in an earmuff, taking leather from the older woman. The Canadian beauty getting off lusty. Graham doing just enough to keep the referee from stopping it..."

McCarthy: "And if she lands about one more of those straight rights, he may stop it anyway..."

O'Dell: "Thirty seconds left. Graham a good right hand counter, but a solid flurry in response from Chriqui. Kat leaning back in the ropes, moving the head and shoulders, rolling with. Chriqui looking for the one big one that will end it, but she's not going to get it. Five seconds. There's the bell. Graham on her feet, but another big round for Emmanuelle."

Tess: "48-47, Chriqui. And this is turning into a nightmare for Kat."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Second half starts with Chriqui stalking, and she's having to stalk, because Kat is back on her bicycle. Seems to have the legs back under her now..."

Cassie: "Still not all of what she had before those last two rounds, I don't think, but she has enough to move."

O'Dell: "Looks that way, and she's using that to stay out of harm's way. She's circling wide, reversing, bouncing, willing to retreat when she has to, but staying away from the ropes. Chriqui working hard to square, and, when she can, she gets off a punch or two, but that's all she can manage before Graham is gone..."

Tess: "Legs getting better as the round goes on. Emmanuelle having more and more trouble closing."

O'Dell: "But, on the flip side, Graham not doing a lot of punching, just snapping out jabs and not exactly lighting up the scoreboard..."

McCarthy: "Just trying to stabilize right now, and she's getting that done, at least."

O'Dell: "Appears to be. Heading down the stretch, though, and it's Chriqui, who, despite having to work hard to get to where she can let her hands go, is getting the better of things. Graham seemingly unworried about it, though. Circling. Popping. Ten seconds to go. Chriqui turning with, and there's the bell. Close round, but Emmanuelle has her third in a row."

Tess: "And, she has the 58-56 lead."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "More movement from Graham as we start the seventh. Chriqui stalking. Kat stops, pops, lands a nice flurry and she's gone. Emmanuelle working the feet, trying to square, Graham jabbing, circling, landing a three-punch combination that forces Emmanuelle to cover up..."

Cassie: "This is the Graham we say earlier in the fight, and this is the stuff she needed to continue to do. She got herself in trouble being too aggressive. She needs to get back to the plan."

O'Dell: "And, that's what she's doing. Circling like in the last round, but not nearly as wide. She's stopping to get off flurries, not just jabbing off the back foot. Chriqui preempted. Being forced to cover up again and again. Emmanuelle backing up now, Kat pops forward, lands another flurry. Chriqui in an ear-muff, giving ground..."

Tess: "Graham is absolutely locked in right now. Everything she throws landing..."

O'Dell: "And a lot of it landing pretty clean. Chriqui not hurt by any one punch, but looking a little buzzed right now from the sheer volume of leather she's taken in this round. Emmanuelle can't get off, can't do much of anything but back and cover, back and cover. This is absolutely dominating stuff from Kat Graham, in complete control for every second of this one. There's the bell. Shutout, Graham."

McCarthy: "And, she's still behind 67-66."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Graham right back on the move. She's all about the legs right now, circling, reversing, snapping out jabs. Not stopping to flurry now. Staying in motion. Making Chriqui chase..."

McCarthy: "But Chriqui isn't going to CHASE, she's going to stalk, and there's a big difference. She's staying patient, not forcing anything."

O'Dell: "Indeed, she is, Mac. Emmanuelle trying to match footwork, trying to cut the ring a bit, resolute in those efforts. Graham, however, so quick and slippery, that the Canadian is having major problems finding her. Kat, on the other hand is getting the jab home and getting gone..."

Cassie: "Surprised she's backed the aggression down after that last round. I was pretty sure she'd be all in to finish..."

O'Dell: "Into the final minute of this one. Graham calling the tune. Chriqui still patiently stalking and KAT CAUGHT HER WITH A RIGHT HAND OUT OF NOWHERE! Chriqui wobbled and DOWN SHE GOES! Left hook from Graham and Chriqui crumples face first to the canvas!"

Tess: "Where did that right even COME from?"

O'Dell: "Chriqui's going to be asking that question herself, I have a feeling, because she never saw it. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Emmanuelle trying to get to her knees and forearms. Does that at seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's over! Chriqui still on her knees and forearms and it's over! And your winner by KO8 in lightning fashion is 'The Liberian Lynx', Kat Graham!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kat Graham, and Kat..."

Kat: "I TOLD you all. I TOLD you all I'd finish her this time. I TOLD you. Make no mistake. Finish the job!"

Tess: "She had you in trouble a couple of times..."

Kat: "But, she couldn't finish, and I COULD. I DID. Just like I told you. Just like I told you ALL. This is the start, Tess. The start. All the haters are going to see. They're all going to see. Just the beginning. Just the beginning."
