Shelley: 28 YO, 5’8 (1.73m), 1-4-0 since 2012, Unmanaged

Diane: 39 YO, 5’7 (1.70m) 0-3-0 since 2009. Unmanaged.

Diane Kruger, a well-known film actress (“National Treasure”, “Inglorious Basterds”) has never had much success in North American celebrity boxing. Her last try was in 2012 when she lost to Rosario Dawson and Brooklyn Decker, but she is back again. This time trying to improve her chances by taking on not-so-well known American television actress (“Teen Wolf”) Shelley Hennig. Shelley seems to be please at getting the work, but after losing the 3 fights she has had in 2015 (most recently to Olivia Wilde) she is clearly just as anxious for a win as the older German fighter.

“I am here to win,” Diane announes at the press conference, “but I recognize that I must work my way up to respectable opponents. Shelley Hennig is where I have chosen to begin. She is younger, of course, but clearly someone I can defeat and then I will move on. I trust Shelley Hennig will make this a worth-while fight.”

There is just something about the way Diane Kruger makes her comments that has Shelley Hennig flushing red with anger. She bounds to her feet and stomps to the podium giving Diane several dagger-like glares. (Diane returns them with a tight-lipped smile).

“I want Diane and everyone else here to realize this: I am here to win just as much as she is! In fact, I want to win more! I am at the beginning of my career—she’s at the end of hers—trying for one last shot at the “Big Time’. I am here to tell you Diane: you aren’t going to beat me! Accept that you are finished—old lady!”

Now it is Diane Kruger who is flushing red and half-rises in her chair, hands clenched. Shelley turns to face her in a wary, fighting crouch, but Diane thinks better of a catfight and sits down but she snaps:

“I will pound your ass for that, little girl!”

“Better watch out for your own ass!” Shelley retorts with an triumphant smile at having gotten the better verbally of the older woman.

The tension is thick on fight when Diane and Shelley face off in the ring. Diane is in midnight blue bra and panties with dark blue gloves. Shelley in a black body suit with white gloves. Hair loose for both. The two women get into a body pushing contest during ring instructions that obliges the referee intervention and stern warnings. The two refuse to touch gloves and go to their corners to exchange angry glares until the bell rings.

R1: Diane strikes hard and fast in the opening stanza. Shelley is intent on landing some angry block buster punches, but Diane easily evades then and counters hard to breasts and sternum. Shelley staggered by punches seems to have trouble organizing her defenses. Diane happily hooking into the American’s tummy to pull down her guard and then banging Shelley’s chin. Shelley forced to step back and Diane pursues alternating body with head action. Shelley starts to get her defensive act going about midway through the round and pushes Diane’s head back with solid jabbing to the face. Red marks sprout on Denise chin and cheekbones and she grows less aggressive. Late in the round, Shelley goes on the attack herself driving hard shots into Diane’s stomach and breasts. Diane jabs back and there is an intense flurry down to the bell ending with Diane swatting Shelley’s nose to send a shudder through the younger woman’s lanky body. It’s close, but Diane wins the first round.

R2: Fighters circle each other warily at midring to start off the round, but then Diane makes the first offensive move with a quick feint to the left and a smashing right that swivels Shelley’s head and makes her go staggering away. Diane moves to cut off Shelley’s retreat and drives the dazed fighter back to the ropes. Shelley worked over to the body as she goes face in gloves before resorting to clinching. Diane has to back off but she’s got Shelley’s all shiny and discolored. Shelley very much on the defensive the rest of the round. She’s got a good jab to keep Diane back, but it’s not enough to keep Diane Kruger from winning this round wide.

R3: Shelley on the defensive once again as this round gets going, but as the round progresses she shifts over to challenging Diane’s aggression. This leads to a sustained exchange as the two circle at midring, each trying to dominate. Heads and bodies taking leather, but both maintaining their aggressive punching. Then Shelley manages to duck down to evade Diane’s swinging left and rights until she can pop up driving an undercut under Diane’s extended gloves to clip the German veteran’s chin. Now Diane’s turn to have a jolt go through her body and she backs away jabbing frantically. Shelley trying to pursue and evade the jab, does manage to get some good ones into Diane’s midsection, but Diane still firmly on her feet at the bell. Nevertheless Shelley Hennig has won a narrow points win to take her first round.

R4: Diane looks cautious starting this round and Shelley is quick to maintain the pressure. Diane is able to keep her head protected for the most part, but Shelly is able to pump a lot of leather into Diane’s unguarded torso. Diane starts feeling the impacts and hunches up, but as her head comes forward, it gets swatted by Shelley. Diane backing away from the pounding still jabbing and Shelley seems reluctant to force her way in at this point. Shelley wins this round wide.

R5: Diane mounting a comeback this round catching Shelley by surprise with a clout to the jaw. Shelley recoils and Denise moves in attacking to the stomach to try to get access to Shell’s head later. Shelley grunting as the punches sink into her stomach, but then she gets her jab going and Diane gets struck hard about the eyes, mouth and nose. Now Denise recoils and its Shelley in pursuit. Diane jabbing to keep Shelley off and this time Shelley tries to force her way through the jab. Shelley getting her face lumped up, but scores hard with shots to Diane’s jaw and twin. Diane’s head bouncing around, no surprise that she backs up for e breather. The two circle and then plunge at each other again. Hard, close in action mainly hooks being jerked up into body and breasts. Diane finally retreats bleeding from her nose, sweat dripping from her body and loose hair hanging over her face. Shelley breathing hard can’t get close to Diane again, but she does edge out her third straight round win.

R6: Diane rallies off her stool to challenge Shelley. Fierce battle breaks out at midring, but moves around the entire ring as they battle their way along the perimeter. Diane is driving Shelley back at first, but then Shelley swings around and forces Diane back. Diane returns to move and then they battle their way along in a swirl of punches. The crowd leaps to its collective feet at this wild action. Not much defense being shown as all-out offense is the tactic of choice. Heads are really getting swiveled and knocked back, but breasts and bellies come under vicious attack. Diane grimacing with effort finally gets Shelley backed into a turnbuckle. A hole has been ripped across the stomach of Shelley’s body suit. Diane seizes on this as a target and just thunders her punches in as Shelley writhes under the barrage. Then Shelley bangs Diane hard to the mouth and nose, bloodying both as Diane falls back. Shelley heaves herself off the turnbuckle, but she’s on shaky legs and cannot immediately go after the stunned Diane. Pause is only for a few moments and then they lunge forward in wild, uncoordinated punches. Both fighters clearly hurt, but not backing off. Diane able to get a couple more into Shelley’s torso to double her up, but Shelley ducks away, circling, trying to come back in. However the bell rings leaving Denise and Shelley to glare at each other, dripping blood and sweat until the referee orders them to their corners. Crowd cheers them both for the maximum effort seen in this round.

R7: Shelley and Diane leave their corners slowly, which is no surprise even the enormous amount of energy both expended in the 6th round. Probing punches to start, but then Shelley starts firing quick ones into Diane’s breasts to see what happens. Diane hunches up protectively, but she’s not quick with her jab. Shelley senses that she’s got more energy than the older woman and starts a vigorous attack. Diane’s jab is weak and poorly aimed, but she can move and tries to evade Shelley. That only works so long, Shelley shows patience in corralling the tiring Denise and pushing her against the ropes. Diane clinching to force breaks and Shelley starts looking frustrated. Diane shows veteran shrewdness in avoiding a knockdown, but she can’t keep Shelley from winning this round in a shutout. Shelley scowling as she watches Diane totter back to her stool, then she spins on her heel and marches to her own stool with a determined look.

R8: Shelley’s still got that determined look as the bell sounds and she marches on Diane Kruger, Diane looking exhausted, but she has her dukes up as Shelley comes in. Shelley now able to use feints to draw the Diane off balance and strike hard. Shelley initially working the older woman’s body, but Diane sluggish in response and Shelley attacks her opponent’s jaw. Rapid-fire series of rights and lefts. Diane’s legs lock up and crashes onto her side. Diane stretches out on her back, sweaty .tendrils of hair covering face until she feebly tries to brush them off. Referee is counting, but Diane making no effort to rise as the count reaches “…TEN! YOU’RE OUT!”
The Winner: Shelley Hennig KO8!

After: Shelley giving a war hoop of triumph hurries to her corner to get her gloves removes the rushes back to Diane, who has been helped back to her stool. Shelley vengefully pushes corner people aside to get at Diane who looks up at her in big-eyed horror. Shelley hoists Diane to her feet, spins her around and shoves her face-first into turnbuckle. Diane instinctively grasps the ring post as Shelley twists Diane’s sweat soaked midnight blue panties into a wedgie that drives Diane up onto her toes with a yelp. Then Shelley makes a fist and starts smacking Diane’s bared buns in a steady rhythm.
“How does feel to have YOUR ass pounded?” Shelley hisses as Diane moans something in German.
Shelley keeps up the butt busting until Diane’s knees gives out and she sinks to her knees sobbing. Shelley looks down with satisfaction and then walks back to her own corner with a VERY satisfied look on her face.

“She shouldn’t have provoked me,” Shelley says later, “elder abuse? You see what she did to my stomach? I won’t be eating solid food a week. She can take care of herself—for a while anyway—I was more than she expected and she paid the price.”

“Shelley Hennig is a horrible person,” a bitter Diane Kruger says (much) later. “I may not be able to make her pay for humiliating me, but I will be watching and the woman does to her what she did to me—she can expect a bonus check from me!”

What’s this? Did Diane Kruger just put a bounty on Shelley Hennig and her buns? Fans social media all a-buzz, though Diane won’t say more and Shelley just laughs about it.

Pretty even fight until that 6th round. It now seem evident that Diane Kruger used up her energy reserves in that round and Shelley was able to finish her off in the 8th. Shelley Hennig finally has first win in a long time, but internet doubters soon are whispering: “Can she beat someone her own age? “ Looks like that be the next question for Ms. Hennig to answer.
