Shay: 28 YO, 5’7 ½ (1.71 m) 11-15-0 since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers
Results: Lookout; Writing: Archer

Before: Recently released by Lookout Boxing, Caity Lotz makes it clear how she feels: “I want to make them sorry they kicked me to the curb. Their press releases can sugar-coat it all they want, but the fact remains I am now unmanaged. So I am glad I landed this fight against Shay Mitchell. When I’ve put Mitchell down and out cold, they’ll be sorry they didn’t keep me. What am I going to wear? Oh, you’ll find out!”

Shay Mitchell looks annoyed: “I don’t like Caity or anyone else thinking I’m some sort of easy mark for fattening their records. Yes, my record is under .500—okay, a LOT under .500, but I take chances when I fight because I believe even if I don’t win, I’ll become a better fighter and it will pay off in time. It’s going to pay off this time when I upset ‘Miss Ex-Lookout Boxing of 2015’ and make it obvious why she was fired—she’s not really that good a fighter.”

Caity Lotz steamed at this last remark and glowers at Shay, but the exotic brunette ignores her as she goes on to announce: “What will I aware? Well, as any fan of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ can remember, in our ‘Halloween Train’ episode of a couple of seasons back, I came as Barbarella. I will say that ‘Barbie’ is about to make a return visit for the fans!” (Hearty cheers from the Shay Mitchell fans in the crowd).

With feelings running high in the pre-fight, fans were naturally eager to see what the rival fighters would bring to the Halloween PPV. Sure enough, Shay Mitchell made her entrance in a silver one piece with black trim, a high collar and plunging vee-neckline. Silver thigh-boots and black garters and a short cape augmented the body suit. She even carried a toy ray rifle. Troian Bellisario accompanied her to the ring. Both PLP members were given a loud cheers and the two waved back appreciatively at their fans as they strode to the ring.

Then in a sudden burst of red-tinted smoke, who should emerge from backstage but a figure in a latex red devil one-piece with sheer red tights and a red cloak but Caity Lotz. (There was no doubt of the meaning of the costume, there was a horned headpiece set in Caity’s blonde hair and she carried a plastic pitchfork. Her ARROW co-star Katie Cassidy accompanied her as they went to the ring.

Once in the ring, the cloaks, headpieces, ray guns and pitchforks were turned over to Troian and Katie, who then put the fighter’s boxing gloves on. (Silver and black gloves for Shay and devil red for Caity). The attendants then departed the ring leaving Caity and Shay to exchange some final remarks.

“I wanted you to know that I was going to give you hellfire in this ring tonight! I am going to win this and make you suffer!” Caity vowed menacingly.

Shay was having trouble keeping a straight face, but she managed to put on a suitably defiant expression and said: “I see I’m going to be the one to fight the Princess of Darkness tonight—let’s see if an exorcism will be necessary or I can just beat the devil of you!”

“You’ll wish you’d stayed in Outer Space, Barbie,” Caity retorted. “I don’t need a pitchfork to deflate what’s left of your boxing career!”

The crowd was loving this, but the referee knew the PPV had a schedule and he stepped in return the costumed ladies to business. Reminded that this was a boxing match, Caity and Shay settled down and they even managed to swipe gloves at the end of instructions without further ado.

R1: Caity is out of her corner at the bell and goes charging right at Shay with a furious barrage of punches, Shay jabbing back as she tries to keep the blonde back, but Caity seems determined to just smash her way through Shay’s upper guard. Caity bouncing around trying to slip punches under Shay’s gloves or over them—all aimed at banging Shay’s face and head. Shay struggling with the rapid-fire incoming and Caity’s sudden changes of direction. Punches start getting through, bruising Shay’s cheekbones and once swiping her lips. Shay not liking this, backs up and Caity suddenly pounding into Shay’s midsection. Shay jabbing back hard and she is landing some the blonde’s face and body, but Caity’s doing a lot more to the bell and it’s no surprise Caity takes the opening round.

R2: Caity maintaining the pressure in this round, she not trying to confuse Shay by attacking her body and head, but in no predictable pattern. Shay hard-pressed early, but she’s still got that jab and Caity’s face is starting to redden up from the impact of those silver and black gloves. Caity slowing down, looking for a less costly attack, starts circling and then lunging in when she sees an opening. Shay takes the offensive late when she clips Caity on the chin during one of the blonde’s lunges, Caity retreating on shaky legs and Shay follows, hammering the blonde’s body until she is doubled over as she backs up. Caity managing to keep away from Shay follows. Judges give this one to Shay Mitchell by a close margin.

R3: Shay and Caity get right back into another battle of pressure punching as this round opens. Fighters are circling at a distance, but then one or the other will try to shoot in and this triggers a rapid punching flurry. Shots are going mainly to the bodies as both fighters realize the need to keep their heads protected, but constant movement does open heads and both try to fire in punches through gaps in the upper guard. Caity scores with several quick rights and lefts off Shay’s head that make the brunette freeze for a few seconds. Caity then fires hooks into Shay’s belly and puts the PLP fighter in retreat. Shay tries to regain momentum with a late surge, but gets her cheekbones battered again from Caity;s jabbing and Shay has to go defensive to the bell as this round passes narrowly to Caity.

R4: Shay’s face now getting discolored and swollen as she comes out for this round. Caity’s got her facial bruises, but they aren’t as pronounced as the brunette’s. More importantly, the blonde is attacking with more vigor as Shay seems to on the defensive most of the time this round. Shay still jabbing and countering, but Caity is circling around and hopping in and out while Shay seems a relatively stationary target. Shay not getting hurt except through the accumulation of Caity’s punches on her body, but she’s not getting the points and it’s no surprise when Caity takes this round easily on the cards.

R5: Troian Bellisario seen talking urgently to her PLP stablemate, even wagging an admonishing finger in her puffy face. Shay suddenly stiffens on her stool and seems to be arguing with Troian. “Don’t get mad at me! Go fight her!” Troian can be heard to say. “You can do it!” Sure enough, Shay bounds off her stool at the bell and tries to take the offensive against Caity. Caity seems a bit surprised at this sudden burst of energy and gets her jaw swiveled by a smashing Shay Mitchell before she gets her jab going. Caity trying to knock down Shay’s attack and get some leather on the brunette’s head again, but Shay it now the one bouncing around and being evasive while firing back from unexpected directions. Caity hanging with Shay, but Shay finally breaks through late and gives Caity a straight right to the mouth that cuts her lower lip. Blood trickles down Caity’s chin as she backs away quickly. Shay after the blonde, but Caity’s still good at backward evasion and Shay can’t cut her off before the bell, Still, Shay Mitchell wins the round on a close margin and she walks back to her stool with a determination. Troian greets her with a hug.

R6: Uh-oh, PLP fans find their celebration short-lived as Caity Lotz shakes off a bad R5 and greets Shay Mitchell with string hooks to the belly to get R6 rolling. Shay doubled up and gasping for air from the impact of those hooks. Caity then lifting her hooks into Shay’s bent-over face and Shay stumbles away, blood dripping from her nose. Caity resumes her pressure tactics of earlier in the fight and has Shay confused as punches seem to be crashing in from all directions. Caity’s fans cheering as Shay is driven back to the ropes and only desperation clinching breaks up the momentum of Caity’s attacks. Shay manages to stabilize herself in the final minute, getting her jab going again and making Caity pay for her aggression. Caity’s attack slows as the round is ending, but she has won this round wide.

R7: Time for another stern lecture from Troian B. Shay nods as she listens, though its not clear what Troian is advising. Shay not rushing at Caity as this round starts., but when the blonde goes on the attack, Shay hammers Caity to the belly and then brings her hooks up into the blonde’s breasts. Caity seems startled at the jugg attack and promptly goes after Shay’s, but Shay uses the aggression to get some uppercuts into Caity’s chin as she leans in. Caity seen to shudder from these impacts and tries to back away, but she’;s not nearly so nimble in her retreat this time. Shay continues to hit hard as she follows Caity, roasting the blonde’s flanks when she can’t get at body or head. Caity looking overwhelmed for a few moments, but her legs manage to keep her moving, though Shay in dogged pursuit. Caity breathing hard, sweat dripping down her body as she walks unsteadily back to her stool. Shay marches firmly to her clearly knowing she’s won this round in the cards.

R8: Caity comes slowly off her stool and looking apprehensive as Shay Mitchell comes bearing down on her. Caity has her jab going quickly and she’s trying to be mobile as Shay circles, but she’s a lot slower than she was earlier. Shay banging hard to Caity’s body, but then makes a quick feint that draws the weary Caity’s attention. POW! Lightning Shay Mitchell right cracks off the blonde’s jaw and a follow-up left comes in to lift Caity’s chin. DOWN GOES CAITY LOTZ! Caity lands on her butt and sits there looking stunned as referee starts to count. Caity pulls herself together and rises to beat the count. The referee closely questions her about continuing, but Caity stubbornly insists she can go on. Referee waves Shay Mitchell in from the neutral corner. Shay just gang rushes Caity to the ropes and swings away freely. Caity’s head bobbing alarming as she arms fall to her sides. Referee jumps in to protect the blonde from serious harm and it’s OVER!

The Winner: Shay Mitchell (TKO8)

After: Caity sagging to her knees at the ropes has to be helped to her stool. Shay Mitchell seems satisfied she’s done enough to the blonde returns to her ring to be congratulated by Troian with a big hug.

“Troi just kept me focused on beating Caity and I’m so grateful she did. Caity was tough, but I beat her and that feels so good! I can’t wait for my next win.”

The clearly disappointed Caity Lotz will only say: “I’m sorry I lost. I think I could have beaten her but I let her get away from me. No one will do that to me again!”

A hard-fought battle that could well have gone either way, but Shay Mitchell managed to hurt Caity Lotz and then finish her off. A needed win for the PLP fighter, but a painful setback for the now unmanaged blonde.
