Pre-fight:
Samia Ghadie wasted no time at all challenging Rachael Leigh Cook as soon as she had stepped out of the press conference to announce the new ABC stable. Ghadie no stranger to the cage, has an illustrious BBU career, though has struggled at FCBA level with only one win, and clearly looking to improve on her record against an aging Rachael Leigh Cook. Cook, at 36 years of age, has not recorded a win since 2011, though has always fought the top end of the competition. Perhaps the most anticipated and interesting bout of this evening as both women seek desperately to reinvent their FCBA careers.

“Of course I was going to accept,” Rachael laughs, “it would have been rude not to. Besides, I’m confident I have the goods and I can take her. I’m not as new to this as she probably thinks I am. She’s going to get a rude shock.”

Samia showing nothing but confidence as she prepares to welcome Rachael back into business with a loss. “She thinks she knows what she’s doing because she’s been around for ages, but that’s not how it works. I’ll gladly remind her why it is that she’s lost two thirds of her fights in this league.”

Round 1:
Samia out with confidence, but perhaps a little too much as the odd blow that hits is impactful, but very few are landing. Rachael actually able to counter more than those that land, letting Samia expend all the energy while Rachael gets the better of the exchange, a few crisp jabs popping off Samia’s chin and cheek.

Round 2:
No confidence lost from Samia’s game to start the second and she manages to land more shots, even if still mostly swinging for the fences against a smart defender. She does seem fit though, and no signs of wearing down yet as she keeps Rachael on the back foot for most of it, only a couple of chances to counter. Samia’s confidence growing with each strike landed, even if the percentages are still low.

Round 3:
Similar exchange to the second round. Samia doing most of the work, but wearing down Rachael’s defences now as well. Cook landing a few quick hooks to Samia’s sides, but Ghadie replying with overhands, a few of which land flush, and Rachael is forced into the ropes, looking vulnerable but saved by the bell.

Round 4:
Samia eager to continue where she left the last round, but Rachael a little fresher, feet moving swifter and mostly able to avoid the heavier punches. Samia switching up with a few underhooks taking Rachael’s abs and eventually cornering her on the ropes again. Rachael with a counter that softens Samia’s side again, but Ghadie just punching through it determined to clobber Cook. Rachael’s bruised left cheek starting to show who has been dictating the pace so far.

Round 5:
Samia full of confidence and on auto-pilot now, leading with a haymaker that Rachael swiftly dodges, slamming right fist flush into Samia’s jiggling breast, causing more than just discomfort. Samia angrily with a cross that replies to Cook’s already bruised cheek causing her to whimper, but from there it’s all Rachael, softening up the other breast to try and humble her adversary a little, the play working. Samia’s face slightly worried as Rachael uses impressive pace to dance around her, peppering sides with swift hooks. Samia visibly depleted as she slumps in her corner, her earlier wild tactics taking their toll on her energy reserves.

Round 6:
Samia looking for payback she picks up soft Rachael jug, simply angering her opponent who fakes a return to jug, only to put a straight right into the centre of Samia’s shocked face. Ghadie rocked and forced against ropes as Rachael hammers her ribs until opening up the defences for a blasting uppercut that bounces Samia off the ropes and lands her on the canvas face-first. The ref’s count reaches ten and we have a winner. KO6, Rachael Leigh Cook!

Post-fight:
Ghadie’s BBU brilliance still not transferring into wins against solid FCBA opposition, this time the packed-with-potential Rachael Leigh Cook finding a way through her and getting her first win for her new stable.

Rachael grinning, relieved. “I’m back, b###hes! Samia’s not so cocky now, is she? Don’t believe the critics, I’m far from done in this league. 36 is the new 26. I’m just getting started.”

Samia pissed off, wanting vengeance. “I was winning until she cheated and started targeting my boobs. Jealous little tart. I’ll show her!”
