Before: Reid milking her unlikely triumph over Teri Hatcher for all it's worth - Danes bristling at the constant mention of that high quality win and itching to put it into perspective: "Everyone knows Teri's dead at 110 at this point in her career - so Tara jumped on a hollowed out Hatcher, so what? This is just another case of HBO loving a girl's look and papering over her deficiencies. I can't wait to expose Tara on PPV." Danes in white bikini, little loops at the hips and between cups - Reid in white cam-tini (tight camisol style top, bare midriff, bikini bottoms).

During R1: Reid showing slick, catching Danes with a nifty lead hook on the cheek, hard right cross on the cheek - Tara deftly stepping in as Claire backs straight up. Danes getting spanked and repeatedly tapped one-two - Claire just unable to get her timing down as Tara proves unexpectedly classy. Injury to insult late: Reid punching with Claire, gets the better of Danes as crisp rights and lefts lick back and forth - Tara punctuates the trade with a biting hook on the jaw to put Danes wobbly butt at the bell. Reid bumping shoulders with the dazed Claire as she passes en route to opposite corner - Danes looking windblown as she coughs up the shutout.

R2: Claire getting cute, realizing she's going to have to set this pigeon up, not just walk right through her. Claire flicking out the pesky jab, extending the left to scrape and chisel it on Tara's face and atop her head, stepping to the right around the measuring stick. Reid not as useful with the lead hook as Danes starts to lean away, slip underneath it - Tara has to retreat or be countered as Danes evens up the cards with crafty adjustments this round.

R3: Claire's pesky jab occupying Reid's attention, setting her up for the stabbing straight right hand from Danes' shoulder. Claire stamping in the right, suddenly turns on a hook, twisting her hips and shoulders into the punch and Reid takes a seat - eyes wide with the shock of the blow. Tara taking a woozy 8 - she's distraught, covering up awkardly as Danes turns puncher. Claire marauding at the ropes, breaking Reid down with cruel hooks on the tanned belly, coming up the hook on the eye and turning her shoulders into short, bashing right hands on the face. Reid getting shelled, rocked repeatedly into the ropes and her defence is falling apart under pressure. AND THE REF STEPS IN! Reid covered up and leaning forward, getting belted as Claire opens up with withering wide lefts and rights - Tara offering nothing back, gives the official no choice. TKO3 Claire Danes.

After: Breezy Danes happily taking Reid for a veritable STRUT of shame - Tara just scrubbed out on her feet as Danes gets brawny for the stoppage. Claire showing no respect for Reid, despite being hurt early, showed more commitment on her punching than she would have against a real flyweight hitter, "Reid's a fraud," spits Claire in postfight, "I did boxing a huge favour in undressing her tonight." Harsh charge as Tara had some nice moments - but Claire clearly the better woman on the evening.
