Before: The glory that was HISC - Dushku, Garner and Danes now stripped of titles, degraded to contender status once again, forced to claw and scrape their way back to prominence - but the falls seems to be particularly hard for Danes. Claire surly, uncomfortable with the constant barrage of Mish questions - specifically whether 'The Beating' still lingers in Danes' trim body and tender psyche. "Dushku took what I consider to be the worst beating of her career against Electra," Claire sniffs defensively, "Garner was blown away by Biel - but I don't see you guys harping on them. All that happened against Mish was that the TE ref allowed Williams to savage and foul me REPEATEDLY and ad nauseum. It was and is the worst, most flagrant flouting of the rules this sport has ever seen and Mish is being celebrated for it. I'm not answering any more questions if that's all you want to talk about." Doherty also steamed about Williams/Danes - for her own reasons. "You're damn right I'm pissed," snarls the brunette. "Danes and HISC were obligated to fight me after I did Eliza, but they did everything in their power to sidestep me and get a gimme against Mish. When I saw what an average scrapper like Williams was able to do against this punk, I kicked the tube out of my television set! I'm tearing Claire up for costing me the belt - just watch me." Shannen in black bikini, long low ponytail with bangs, white shoes - Claire sport in her bra style half and half black and white bikini, matching two-toned boxing calf-boots.

During R1: Danes out with with a slapping jab off the shoulder, swivel-step to the left, chin tucked behind the left shoulder: it's classic slap n' slip early. Doherty strong on her pins, left low, right at her chest, trying to find Claire with the jab without success. Danes nibbling, finding Doherty in the mouth, pushing her breasts to the side with the left, constantly turning brunette right flank. Midway through - Shannen storms through the Danes jab, looping a clocking right to the head - Danes able to turn with it, taking the sting off, but she's out of her stance, all squared up. Doherty stepping in with a BLOODCURDLING low right hand - booming crotch shot shoots Danes buttocks back, face forward, eyebrows high, eyes closed, mouth open in shock - crowd shouting in sympathy as Doherty muscles on in. Claire hustled into the corner, weakly wrestling with Shannen's arms - Danes pinched, agonized expression betraying her feelings: "not again" as Shannen sets up strong. Doherty clubbing away righty to jaw out of the lock up, then dropping her left hand to her side, the better to set her left shoulder against Claire's chest, propping the blonde up for great, swinging right uppercuts to the body. Claire gutted, stooping forward, jolted to her tippy toes as Shannen POUNDS away. Brunette face twisted in malevolent grin, she's just getting ALL up in there, digging Claire out, paralyzing her with paralyzing rights belly, tits and trunks - its some of the most muscular punching we've seen at flyweight. AND THE REF STEPS IN! Claire weepy, used up - hammered hard to her body and just psychologically collapsing - Doherty reaps what Mish has sown: KO1 Shannen D.

After: Shannen out of control, reeling around the ring in celebration as Danes is consoled in her corner - rampaging brunette attack just hollows out the sweetly skilled Danes, who for the second fight running has been unable to establish her craft in the ring. Gloves off - Doherty chests Danes into the HISC corner, climbs the ropes and poses large over the beaten ex champ. Shan's left fist greasy in Claire's hair, right index finger thrust skyward: Claire's face wet and clammy against Shannon's left hip - Danes too blasted to even cry at this point. Time enough for those tears later, in private.
