TESS VALMORE

JUSTICE/MICHELE This may not be an Asylum card, but the fight was even at the end of four as usual there. In the fifth, Michele hammered Justice to take the lead only to be on the hammered end of a Justice beating in the sixth. Justice managed to recover from her beating in the fifth, but Michele hadn’t recovered at the beginning of the seventh. A hard right to the ear and a couple following hooks sent Michele down to the canvas for the count

GOMEZ/MONET This bout was all Gomez. well except for the fourth round. After taking the first three rounds Gomez was caught by a right to the chin and left to the nose and went down. Michele had Gomez set up and left her off the hook. After that, it was all downhill for Michele Gomez floored her in the seventh and finished her off in the eighth. Gomez KO8

EVIGAN/BENSON The bout was even at four. In the fifth, Benson did some serious body work on Evigan that had her looking spent at the end of the round. Evigan came out for the sixth gamely trying to compete with Benson, but it was for naught as Benson landed a big overhand right that ended the fight.

HALE/SONG Once again, a bout was even at the end of four. The fifth went to Song. In the sixth, with 29 seconds left, Hale accidentally head butted Song who went down. Mr Poindexter Del Crunchy went berserk and had to be escorted from the arena by armed security before the fight could continue. It didn’t continue long, as in the seventh, Hale landed a right to the chin, that sent Song down and she was counted out in a sitting position

COOK/OSMENT The first part of this fight went Osments way as she won four of the first five rounds and Cook was looking old at the end of the fifth. Between rounds, Cook found the fountain of youth and took rounds six and seven. She then decked Osment in the eighth and finished Osment off in the ninth with a haymaker right. Cook won. but how she will stack up against better competition is open to question

COLEMAN/S. CARTER The night’s first upset as Coleman KOed Carter. Carter took three of the first four rounds. Coleman came back to have a fine fifth working on Carter’s body with good effect. In the sixth, Coleman lured Carter into throwing a right and quickly countered with a right of her own that sent Carter down. Carter tried to climb the ropes but couldn’t and was sitting when the count reached ten

MEESTER/LOWNDES This was a rubber match between the two and as expected it was a hard fought bout. The fight was even at the end of five. It was even at the end of seven In the eighth, Lowndes hurt Meester and had her about ready to go at the end of the round. Meester tried to take the ninth. but half way through a Lowndes right stopped Meester in her tracks and Lowndes went on a punching blitz until Meester went down for the long ten

HUDGENS/KRUEK After Hudgens took the first round, Kruek took a good lead by winning the following three rounds. In the fifth, Hudgens did some serious body work on Kruek that had Kruek bunching up. Kruek’s legs were gone as the sixth began and it would be only a matter of time. The end came when Hudgens followed up more body work with a right to the chin that left Kruek curled up on the canvas as the count passed her by

RIDLEY/MECKLENBURGH I’m sitting in the Wiz’s box (if you can cover a PPV in comfort why not? ) When these two enter the ring and I am wondering who are these two. Didn’t get a lot of help from those around me. Oh well, The fight was even at the end of four. The two swapped jug mugging in the next two rounds and fight was still even at the end of six. In the seventh, Ridley landed a left that sent Mecklenburgh down. Mecklenbergh got to her feet only to eat a left-right combination that ended the fight. Ridley KO7

LOVATO/RYAN The bout was even at the end of four and even at the end of six. Ryan managed to take the lead winning the seventh. In the eighth, Lovato landed a series of body punches that took Ryan's legs out and finished her off with an uppercut to claim a KO8

KENDRICK/PORTER Porter looked good early taking three of the first four rounds. Kendrick narrowed Porter’s lead by winning the fifth. In the sixth, Kendrick had Porter badly hurt and ready to go In the seventh Kendrick hurt Porter again and then ended the bout with a right-left that left Porter out for the count

K. BELL/S.MILLER A hard punching fight. The bout was even at four with Bell hurting Miller in the fourth, but punching herself out. Miller came back to take the fifth, but she also punched herself out. In the sixth, Bell had Miller close to being out, but couldn’t finish. In the seventh,
Miller gutted Bell, had her against the ropes and unloaded until Bell was out, hanging in the ropes and the referee stopped the bout

PRESSLY/PAUSINI Pausini had not won an FCBAf fight going into this bout. She still hasn’t ,but she made Pressly work for it. She managed to have the fight even at the end of four. In fact, she took the lead by winning the fifth. In the sixth, Pressly sank a left into Pausini solar plexus that sent her to the canvas. Pausini would get to her feet only to eat a right uppercut that left her out on her feet. draped over Pressly only to finally collapse to the canvas and was counted out Any win is a good win but Pressly wasn’t particularly impressive

STEVENS/C. COLE Its another fight that was even at the end of four. It didn’t go five. In that round Cole simply gave a Stevens a bad beating, bad enough for Stevens to go down on her knees for the count. After the count, Cole just knocked her over to her side. You might say no love lost between these two

CARLSON/CHURCH Would you be surprised if I told you this bout was even at the end of four? The fifth went to Carlson, but the sixth belonged to Church big time, so big that a straight right left Carlson down for the ten count. I see our name was mentioned post fight. I am not sure I understand why. We predicted a Church KO

MAFFIA/PIETERSE Pieterse looked good early taking the first three rounds. Maffia cut the lead won by winning rounds four and five. In the sixth, Pieterse worked on Maffia’s body and sent her to the canvas with a right hook. Maffia made it to her feet only to go down again. Again she made it to her fee,t however she was staggering around and the referee stopped the fight. A good win for Pieterse

BUSH/REED Here we go again. Tied at the end of four. Round five was sloppy and inconclusive. In the sixth, Bush flattened Reed with a big right hook to get the KO6

ROBBIE/CHOPRA Yep, the fight was even at the end of four. In the fifth a Robbie left and right sent Chopra staggering right into another Robbie straight right that sent Chopra on her back. Robbie KO5

VANCAMP/CASSIDY The second upset of the night. Vancamp looked good taking the first three rounds. Cassidy shocked the crowd by flooring VanCamp in the fourth. She then, took the fifth, to close the lead. VanCamp got back on track winning the next three rounds The fight was in the bag if VanCamp could just finish the bout. She didn’t as in the ninth, Cassidy landed a blindly wild swinging right against VanCamp’s face and the bout was over with VanCamp counted out

GREENE/BELLISARIO Another hard punching fight Greene floored Bellisario in the first and won three of the first four. Bellisario had a good fifth, hurting Greene. Bellisario continued to work on Greene until a counter to Greene’s eye put her on her hands and knees. Bellisario then landed a finishing right to Greene's back while she was down. The referee didn’t seem to have a problem with that and counted Greene out

MCADAMS/HOLT An impressive performance by Holt. McAdams won the first round. That would be the only round she would take. After that Holt dominated the fight. McAdams was pretty shabby going into the sixth. McAdams swinging wildly hoping to land a fight winning punch, instead got caught with a shot to the ribs and a left to the chin that left McAdams down for ten McAdams look old tonight

MUNN/SEYDOUX The third upset of the night. The bout was even at the end of four and even at the end of six. Munn was a little slow coming out for round seven having been hurt in round six. Munn was doing well until Seydoux landed a keyhole right and followed with a left uppercut and a right hook that sent Munn to the deck out cold

WOODLEY/MITCHELL Upset number four. Woodley KOs Mitchell less than 24 hours after Woodley had been KOed in a fight at the Asylum Unbelievable. Woodley had the lead at the halfway point having decked Mitchell in the fourth. Mitchell evened up the bout by taking the next three rounds. In the ninth, Woodley landed a blockbuster. Mitchell was still out as the count passed ten

BENOIST/VANDERVOORT The upsets continue. This time it was Benoist who pulled the upset. The fight was even at four. Vandervoort won round five but Benoist worked Vandervoort along the ropes to win six. Benoist ended the fight in round seven, when she landed a one-two to Vandervoort chin that sent her down, unable to rise to beat the count Benoist KO7

SWIFT/J. STONE For some reason Swift doesn’t strike me as being a fighter. That said, she didn’t win but did better than I expected. The bout was once again even at four. It was also even at six. Swift came close to winning in the seventh when she had Stone against the ropes, but Stone was saved by the bell. In the eighth, Stone caught Swift with an uppercut that stunned her. Stone worked Swift over, finishing her with a crashing right to the cheek

ALEXANDER/HATHAWAY The first half of the fight was mostly Hathaway as she took four of the first five rounds. Alexander turned the fight around in the sixth when she decked Hathaway with a right. Alexander battered Hathaway around the ring in round seven and ended the fight in the eighth with a right to the jaw. Alexander KO8

PEREGRYM/J.KELLY Kelly took the first three rounds as Peregrym seemed lethargic. Peregrym finally got going in the fourth and took the lead by taking three straight including a fifth round knockdown. Kelly took control in the seventh by flooring Peregrym. In the rest of the fight, Kelly handed Peregrym a brutal beating punching Peregrym unrecognizable until the referee finally stopped the bout in the final round. Mild upset Kelly TKO9

COLE/STRAHOVSKI Cole took the first round and Strahovski evened the fight by taking the second, In the third Strahovski put on a boxing clinic luring Cole into a mistake and then made her pay with a right to the chin and a combination that put Cole down for the count. An impressive performance by the outstanding blonde lightweight

RYAN/MEYER The required Miss Ginny fight. Two 47 year olds in the ring with Meyers last win being in 2005. The two put on a slugging show. At their age, slugging is all they can do. The fight was even at four (isn’t that a surprise?)Ryan came out for five and pounded Meyer to the canvas. Meyer managed to get to her feet and was saved by the bell. The bell didn’t save her in the sixth as a Ryan right left Meyer finishing the fight on her back

LAWLEY/LAWRENCE This was a total mismatch. Still I was hoping that Lawrence would upset Lawley who was at least 50 pounds heavier and six inches taller. It wasn’t to be as Godzilla handed Lawrence a terrible beating as Lawrence was pounded to the canvas in the fourth, sixth and finally in the seventh, that time for good. She did manage to deck Lawley in the fifth, but had little effect. I think the jury is still out on Lawley. Beating a small lightweight doesn’t impress me when you are the size of tight end

ATKINSON/PATTON Atkinson dominated this fight taking three of the first four rounds and then knocking Patton out in the fifth with a right hook. A very disappointing effort from Patton

KNOWLES/THERON Shades of the younger GOAT as she wore her famous cream bikini and fought bare footed. The fight was a slugfest that reminded some of the younger Theron. The fight was even at four with Knowles using fouls to take round three. Knowles continued fouling in round five that had Theron down and out but saved by the bell. Knowles forged further ahead by winning round six. Theron turned the fight around by flooring Knowles in the seventh Charlize decked Beyonce again in the eighth. Knowles barely beat the count but was clearly out of it and the referee stopped the fight. Theron evens her record for the year and adds a couple points to her spectacular win/loss ratio I hate to say it but I will. Theron should retire on the win. Isn’t that a surprise?

NOLLIN/GOVICH Everyone knows that I am not a fan of Nolin but you got to give her credit. She was very very good tonight. She took it too Govich big time and did it without fouling. I can’t remember a fight when she didn’t foul .but this was one. She had to survive of Govich rampage in the fourth, to come back and hand Govich a brutal beating the fifth and sixth rounds finishing Govich with a right uppercut. Can Govich come back after this loss? Time will tell

UPTON/HOOPES JMDD Who is Hoopes? Well, this is JMDD. I really don’t care. I can say that the Black and Stormies down in the bar a quite good

KUNIS/SHAHI A flyweight title fight. As usual, the fight was even at four. Kunis used a little rough house to take round five, only to have Shahi even the fight in the sixth. Kunis took round seven unfortunately hitting Shahi after the bell. Shahi was scoring early in the eighth until Kunis caught her with a right to the ear. After that Kunis pounded Shahi to the floor Shahi was unable to beat the count, Kunis chalks up a successful title defense

FISHEL/KELLY This was for the bantam title. The two were, as usual, even at the end of four. They were also even at the end of sixth in this fast paced hard punching bout. Fishel was suddenly sluggish coming out for round seven and the challenger tool advantage winning the round wide. In the eighth. A faded Fishel went out to meet Kelly to a very bad result. Late in the round an accumulation of punches sent the champion down to defeat as the ten count passed. Minka Kelly is the new bantam champ. It was only a matter of time before she won a title

RIGHETTI/LANCASTER I thought the outcome of this fight was obvious from the beginning. No way Lancaster would beat Righetti for the third time. Well, it looked like I was going to be wrong as Lancaster took three of the first four rounds, coming close to finishing Righetti in the second. Righetti finally got on track in the fifth having Lancaster swooning. She floored Lancaster in the sixth, continued the beating in the seventh and finally ended the fight by decking Lancaster twice in the eighth, the last time for good. Righetti is once again the Welter champ
