BEFORE: Lisa Gleave was cut from the BronzedOz Boxing last year but she remains the most popular ACB free agent and has incurred wrath of fellow lingerie model Danielle Lineker who looks to kick start her career after a rubber match defeat to Sylvie Meis back in September. Of course most BBU fans believe the Dutch/Welsh rivalry will resume as soon as possible but for now Lineker vows to rearrange Gleave's face and claim Knockout of the Night bonus prize!
Lisa Gleave wears a light blue bikini and white gloves. Long blonde hair straight. Danielle Lineker wears a black bikini with red trim and red gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Danielle's in a feisty mood tonight and hassles the blonde into immediate leather bashing that snaps Lisa's head back and enables the brunette to dominate close range in the opening minute. Gleave struggles to find her balance and weaves back & forth on her feet while losing the punching contest with Lineker thumping more facial assault and reeling the older woman back to the ropes down the stretch. Lisa tries to freeze out the Welsh model but is gut-checked out of the clinch and sufferes some jug muggin' for a good measure as Lineker runs away with the round through sheer aggression that the Aussie blonde wasn't quite ready to embrace yet.
Round 2:
More of the same in the second, Lineker moves on the front leg and easily picks off Gleave from close range before clipping the jugs and wobbling the older model on her heels. Lisa swings from the back foot but misfires badly and allows the brunette to pound her back to the ropes again; if only Danielle could have been successful like that versus Sylvie Meis! As the punches begin to stack up against Lisa's face, she scowls in visible discomfort but that only fuels the brunette's determination to add more punishment and she shuts the blonde down completely in the final minute hammering along between the mitts and sinking a hapless opponent on soft knees. Lineker signs off the round with a belting hook on the liver area and takes extra pleasure from seeing Gleave's eyes bawl out in pain at the bell.
Round 3:
Danielle easily traps the blonde into another leather frenzy, bashing away upstairs and sagging Lisa on her heels within the opening minute. The Aussie model tries to make something happen and briefly grazes the brunette's temples with a committed series but once Lineker thumps her on the breasts it's all over and the younger model rips a jabbing galore on the body to freeze Lisa out in the middle of the ring before a heavy uppercut on the chin does the most damage. Gleave wobbles back scowling and has little time to react for a follow up hook that nails her on the nose AND SENDS CRASHING DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE moments later... Danielle shakes her glove in delight while Lisa looks all lost at sea despite beating the count at six... she remains caved in and gets pummelled back to the ropes by the rampant Welsh model who rips more punches into the midriff and simply runs out of time to make further inroads and remove any fighting spirit there's left in the overwhelmed blonde. Still, Lisa shakes her head in disgust and avoids looking Danielle in the eye but the crowd demands a swift knockout any minute now.
Round 4:
Lineker jumps into another facial assault to put Gleave under immediate pressure but gets sucked out of the close range dominance when the blonde suddenly nails her on the solar plexus and adds a brutal hook on the brow ridge that tears the skin into a swollen gash. Lineker's stunned by that situation and needs a few seconds to adjust her stance however Lisa thumps her on the mouth in the follow up and blasts a left harpoon on the liver to wobble her forward into a piercing uppercut on the chin... AND DOWN GOES DANIELLE crashing on her knees at the Aussie's feet... the Liverpool audience is shocked as that was Gleave's first meaningful punches of the entire bout and she just send the Welsh girl down for the count... some of the oldest demons come back to haunt the brunette - and Sylvie Meis must be loving this wherever she's watching - however Danielle is still good to go and just breaths wrath towards the older model once she beats the count at seven... Lisa jumps at her regardless and both women pound away at each other for remainder of the round leaving more facial cuts before Lineker still lands the biggest punch of the lot when she creams the blonde's chin and leaves her spinning into her corner right at the bell. Too little too late to save the round anymore but now the fight is reaching the grudge mode and Denise van Outen can't wait to see what happens next!
Round 5:
Gleave's found her stride after that shocking knockdown but another blitz aimed at Lineker's wounded brow ridge ends in naught when the Welsh girl dekes to the outside first and then ducks underneath to slam a brutal hook to the liver area that roots the blonde to the spot and has Danielle thumping uppercuts on the follow up. Lisa's head snaps back a couple of times but she still leaves too much space downstairs and Lineker digs into the liver one more time sagging the blonde on her heels with the arms dropping in coverage... another heavy uppercut finds the chin and shuts Lisa's eyes so she doesn't even notice the right hook on the temple THAT SENDS HER DOWN ON HER BACK moments later... another twist in the lingerie model battle and Danielle yells out at the fallen rival before strutting back to her corner... Gleave's up at seven and nods back to the referee but another furious tangle has Lineker bashing her face in and reeling her to the ropes, all upstairs from the Welsh girl who hammers along and buries everything she has left into the blonde's otherwise attractive face... and Gleave can't raise her arms high enough let alone find any response... cue in the grudge mode as Lineker loses her mind in ripping Gleave's face apart... AND THE BLONDE EXITS STAGE LEFT... Lisa crushes down on her knees in the middle of the facial assault and remains crippled with her head leaning against the canvas during the quick count... Danielle has to be wrestled away from her fallen prey but it doesn't matter anymore... KO5 Danielle Lineker!!!
AFTER: That was a very rough finish to a truly entertaining bout that had Danielle on the verge of a shocking upset in the fourth round when Lisa nicked in to expose the Welsh veteran in a way previously charted by Sylvie Meis. These lingerie models bring some of the meanest punches seen in the division and that's why they serve as proven gatekeepers even if the flyweight title picture is out of their reach. The Liverpool crowd understands that too and gives both women a standing ovation, it's easier to do that when a Welsh and Australian rip each other to shreds and Lisa took the worse of the two in that last drive leaving Echo Arena with a mangled up face but was able to dump Danielle into a swollen brow ridge reality that now needs to be addressed by the Garner Gunners cutmen.
Despite the ice pack covering the wounded brow ridge Danielle is as feisty as ever in her post fight interview where she promises to take revenge on arch rival Sylvie Meis and indicates she treated Lisa Gleave like the Dutch blonde's older sister to fuel herself for that brutal finishing drive in the fifth: "Actually I had her all shaken up before but just couldn't knock her the hell out! She's quite a durable for a free agent.... no, that's not on me, Denise! Maybe I'm not exactly a title contender but I can punish a girl when I want to! Just ask Sylvie.... OK, don't ask her NOW but hey, I whooped her ass once before! (...) She whooped my ass twice? Who cares? Lisa Gleave is frickin' done and I will beat up that Dutch cow again too! Let's have a drink, shall we?"
Final result: Danielle Lineker def. Lisa Gleave KO5.
