"ACB VISITS BBU" - MAIN EVENT

BEFORE: This fight was in the making for quite a while and once Dannii Minogue blasted out Adele Silva last month there was nowhere to hide for Heidi Range anymore. The blonde singer's task is to shut the Aussie brunette down before Geri Halliwell gets targeted for a rematch and the entire Lioness Club hopes to secure more valuable scalps than just Minogue's in the proccess. Heidi was once touted as the best flyweight title prospect within the Barnet stable but lost her mojo over the past two seasons and needs a Top 10 victory to justify her revival. Stopping Georgia May Foote in eight rounds was just a dress rehearsal before the real test that follows with Minogue and there's no better place to celebrate such an opportunity than the local Liverpool audience that supports the former Sugababe hand over first tonight. This is destined to become Range's career night if she can upset the AWUBA super featherweight & current ACB flyweight champion!
Dannii Minogue wears a silver bikini top, yellow knickers and yellow gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a high curled ponytail. Heidi Range wears a red bikini set and white gloves. Blonde hair tied in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Dannii's aggressive style is her calling card and she wastes no time thumping into the blonde's guts to set up a classic flyweight bash early in the opening round already. Of course Heidi realized she will be blitzed from the word go and mounts a facial assault herself hoping to somehow catch the older singer with a big haymaker and make her think better of it. She fails to land that bomb though and yields real estate as Minogue's punches stack up against her midsection before the Aussie champ riffles a steady series over the top and has the local favorite wobbling back & forth in a quick escape. Dannii comes out on top of that exchange and has Heidi on the run for remainder of the round, that's a worrying sign for all the Merseyside fans but thankfully for them, Minogue doesn't make this personal like she did in her two gung ho fights with Cheryl Cole in the past. She lets Range off the hook late in the round and winks back to her corner signalling she's just getting warmed up here!
Round 2:
Lioness coach Gina Wild tells Heidi that was a solid opener and the blonde singer indeed escaped all the power punches but there's no respite in the second again and the close range tangle remains Dannii's playground who lands a couple of heavy uppercuts on the chin setting up Range's shimmy shake demise. Heidi just can't find her feet in the up tempo offence and gets clobbered between the arms as Minogue enforces the body assault reeling the home favorite butt-in-ropes in the proccess. Heidi seeks a clinching break but Dannii prevents the ref from letting that happen and drills the liver area to shut her foe off into a yelping struggle. She outmuscles the younger singer and beats her foe a quick overhand that wrecks the nostrils and has Range staring at her with eyes wide open.... a clubbing hook on the temple dumps Heidi against the turnbuckle and has her screaming when the brunette harpoons her on the ribcage again to keep the hammer down. The clock expires in the middle of a Minogue leather frenzy and if the Merseyside audience was worried after round one, there's a funereal atmosphere after round two with the Aussie enforcer dissecting their dreams with every punch landed.
Round 3:
Denise van Outen begins to suspect that Dannii's on steroids or something because there's no way she can look so dominant aged 44. Well, perhaps they do things differently back in Australia and Heidi's up for a hard lesson of boxing again betting thumped in the face and just sagging on her knees on the minute mark with Minogue harrassing her into the corner and laying more leather into her. This is agonising to watch for the English crowd and Range looks plain spooked out there with her opponent just romping her to the body and almost teasing into any sort of a response. Heidi lowers her guard a bit and tries to punch herself from the corner but eats a quick series on the lips and remains trapped, she wobbles into more chest muggin' afterwards as Dannii looks to chart new territory and settles into pounding the blonde's cleavage amid an increasing moaning galore from the helpless Sugababe. The ref tries to salvage some Merseyside pride and hauls the Aussie off for no reason allowing Range to escape from the corner but the ACB veteran only laughs at this effort to make this fight look competitive. She hassles the younger singer back to the other side of the ring and almost catches her with a late hook on the temple as Heidi looks relieved just to survive this round and outlast Adele Silva's third round KO demise from last month.
Round 4:
Dannii piles on more pressure with facial strikes lumping Heidi up in numbers but she gets a little careless and suddenly gets whooped on the liver with the blonde almost battling tears but still somehow jumping on the last chance salloon to sink the brunette with a loud scowl. The crowd roars in support and Range blasts more hooks from close in this time shattering Dannii's face and knocking her about back to the ropes. A belting hook on the liver does the trick AND MINOGUE HAS TO TAKE A KNEE to find her breath back! What a shocking turn of events! Heidi somehow broke through the Aussie wall made her pay for a little overconfidence. Denise van Outen has no illusions about what follows next... Dannii didn't make it personal yet but she was caught badly and now Heidi must brace herself for a Cheryl Cole-like treatment... If looks could kill, Minogue would have smashed Range to pieces and she launches immediate response whereas Heidi jumps in having nothing to lose herself following that terrible start to this bout... both women rip into each other's faces and apply the war of attrition in the ring that gets the crowd on their feet especially when Dannii's head begins to snap around a little too frequently compared to Heidi's... AND MINOGUE SINKS ON HER KNEES when the blonde catches her with a crunching uppercut on the jaw... she wobbles back on her heels and barely keeps her balance for a while before Heidi homes in with a left hook on the nose that spins the brunette around AND SENDS HER CRASHING DOWN FACE-FIRST ON THE CANVAS!!! That leaves the crowd speechless and Dannii's only up on all fours at five before the clock expires and saves her from a looming knockout disaster! But that was still a tremendous round from the blonde singer who almost spits her heart out at the bell but remains in a much better position compared to the Aussie brunette who has to crawl back to her corner looking very dizzy indeed.
Round 5:
Dannii was shaken up after that knockdown and still looks affected trying to slow things down for a change and somehow withstand the blonde's barrage. She was upset back home by Penny Higgs few years back but she was supposed to wreck Range badly here tonight and suddenly it's the former Sugababe ripping into her face and defying all the odds! Dannii's guard collapses in wake of a vicious facial drill and it's obvious she hasn't recovered from that late knockdown yet and Heidi has enough experience to make it count... she pummels the cumbersome brunette back to the ropes and just stacks up the leather into Minogue's face leaving the older woman to cry out in pain and just allow Heidi to continue with the facial rearrangement... Range whips more uppercuts to snap Dannii's head back & forth and shut her eyes in the proccess before wrenching her with a low hook on the navel... Dannii's belows out on the ropes with eyes closed and aches out in full violume now but Range isn't done here yet and digs into her chest to pound the last ounce of resistance out of the brunette... Minogue slumps forward and loses the grip on Heidi's waist... SHE SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES with the blonde still trying to pound her topless by all means and that's as gruesome as it gets... Minogue collapses on her face and remains crippled as the count passes her by... KO5 Heidi Range in Upset Of The Year fashion!!!
AFTER: "I frickin' whooped Dannii Minogue's ass! I can't believe it!", Heidi is over the moon after this statement making victory as she secures the BBU success on the card but more importantly leaves the Echo Arena to chant her name all the way until the verdict is announced and the blonde's arm raised in the air. What a stunning result indeed as nobody - not even Denise van Outen - had seen this coming! Dannii Minogue herself looks shocked and once she's revived back to her stool she has to accept the Walk of Shame around the ring and obeys to the blonde's drill losing all her invincible aura in the proccess.
To be fair to the ACB flyweight champion, Denise van Outen indicates she committed the cardinal pre-fight favorite mistake. She underestimated her opponent and thought she had Heidi beat long before the opening bell. During the first three round everything followed the script but instead of beating the crap out of Range like she did versus Cheryl Cole, she preferred to play around with her prey and was smoked by a stunning counter attack. She never recovered from the shot to the liver and was exposed badly in the fifth round with Heidi running red hot at that time. Dannii's career is far from being over and the Downunder Boxing crew wants to set up another bout as quickly as possible to keep their most successful flyweight in contention but right now the Lioness Club is able to hold it's ground in contract talks and whenever Dannii returns to the ring, she won't face Geri Halliwell like she planned just yet. Heidi was supposed to provide the block and she did just that despite all the odds stacked against her. You don't see such an upset in BBU every day!
Final result: Heidi Range def. Dannii Minogue KO5.
