Before: Kelly P comes in buff, hard and determined to beat one of the chief architects of her decline over the last couple of years. "Used to be when you thought 'flyweight', you thought Kelly Packard," says one old fly-beat scribe, "but times have changed. Eliza's a new breed flyweight, hits like a bantam, works the body, moves well - Kelly's really had to work on rounding out her game to compete with Dushku class fighters." Eliza in red leather bikini, Kelly in black bikini. Packard very aggressive during staredown, practically vibrating, getting face to face on a non-plussed Eliza who stands with an 'oh please' expression.

During: Packard sends a message in the opening moments, jabbing to get Eliza to cover up midring, then tic-tac-toe hooks and rights hands, body and right hands - Packard stepping off neatly to the right as Dushku accepts the spanking. Crisp back and forth round - both girls getting off in clusters, both mixing up head and body work. Packard busier, throwing and landing more - Dushku looking to get position to set down on shots and hurt the blonde.

R2: Nice, nice boxing from Eliza Dushku. Kelly wanting to put punches together, but time and again, Dushku dips in close, disrupts everything with a withering left uppercut to the pit of the belly or chopping right hand on the cheek. Packard can't get off as Eliza pre-empts her repeatedly in a series of aborted attacks for the blonde - Dushku just depositing well timed potshots throughout.

R3: Eliza nice and compact, feeling it now - she's got Kelly backing down just a little. Hard hook early on has Kelly rubber-legged - Dushku hopping in to hook the right flank, then back to the head - Packard crumbles into the ropes to defend. Classic Eliza D, swatting a left to the ear just to position Kelly, then a chopping left body shot in under the elbow. Swatting right to the head, chopping right to the body - Packard gurgling as Dushku beats her ragged. Kelly wobbly butt after a murderous first minute, shows she won't be bullied, comes off the ropes just a-stroking Eliza's jaw with punches - pure hard nosed blonde brawling gets the brunette to back off and adjust. Hard hitting exchanges the rest of the way - Dushku working off her jab, still trying to sink in those hacking body shots, but clearly wary of Packard's unexpected resilience.

R4: Packard comes back from the beating to get classy on Dushku this round. Kelly dominating with her jab, then stepping right to hook, stepping left to drop the right hand, stepping left to escape as Eliza covers up. Packard picking and choosing, victimizing Eliza with pretty left uppercuts, hard right hands down the pike - Eliza nickled and dimed for a shutout this round.

R5: Kelly getting tough in Eliza's midsection - Dushku not expecting hard body shots from Packard, has to cover up and stoop forward to take, unable to answer immediately as Packard gets her hips into it. Eliza jabbing with Kelly has her moments - Dushku landing right hands on the face with just enough frequency to prevent undue bravery from the blonde - nice nip and tuck round with neither girl really able to impose her will.

R6: Kelly's found something downstairs - she dips her shoulder, cranking Tommy Hearns style hooks up underneath and gets a tell tale wobble out of Eliza's trunks as the brunette huddles forward. Packard steps right, brushes Dushku with a throw-away hook and bends into a crashing right, lifting Eliza's left foot off the mat and twisting the brunette's face in pain. Dushku shabby from the shot - Kelly strokes chin with the left to turn Eliza, then shifts into another kissing right - Dushku soaking up a withering beating to her drowsy face. Eliza's turn to show heart - she takes the buffetting, gets it together and starts fighting back at the midway point - sensational ripping trade as the girls fight a series of violent engagements all around the ring. At the bell, Eliza cut in the mouth and Packard lands a way-late elbow to the teeth - blonde baring her teeth as she leaves brunette with a little momento.

R7: Kelly in control - Eliza having trouble reading her foe, doing a lot of ear-muff guard stuff as she leans forward, letting the blonde pepper her with combinations. Packard getting off smooth and crisp - she knows she's got the hook downstairs anytime she wants it, she's got a stroking hook alongside the right side of Eliza's face and she's got the chopping right hand on the left eye. Topping everything off, she's setting the table with the jab, chiselling and scraping it to Dushku's face and top of her head, using it as a point scorer and positional tool. By the end of the round, Kelly's added the left uppercut, dipping and clipping as Dushku bends numbly forward - pretty Eric Morel type stuff from the blonde. Eliza shaky at the bell - touched and touched hard that round.

R8: Eliza's getting outclassed - so she stops trying to match wits with Kelly, instead taking the fight right to the blonde's doorstep. This is grimly determined Eliza Dushku - an Eliza D who knows she's going to get touched downstairs and cuffed up top on the way in. Brunette walks through it all with clenched teeth, hammering away at Packard's rigid ribcage, bashing upside the blonde's pretty face in rugged action. Kelly forced to stand and slug at the ropes - neither girl wants to surrender the trench.

R9: Eliza's made her bed - she's brawling the rest of the way, trying to make up the stagger on Kelly. Packard can't keep her off with the stick - fight boils down to Dushku hounding Kelly to the ropes and making the blonde fight. Stripped down, raw, brutal action - girls covered up tight, right hands at cheeks, bodies getting behind raking hooks to the tummies and temples. Girls adept at using their heads in close - not butting, just grinding and pushing ear to ear, trying to position the opponent for a stroking blow in tight. Packard can't keep pace - Eliza's withering chops to the belly have the blonde in sorry shape and by the final minute she's not punching back. All Dushku at the bell, lording it over Kelly - swatting head to set up body as the blonde sobs and soaks.

R10: Mutual consent - Packard digs in at the ropes, Eliza squares up on her, and the two classy beauties proceed to lick and lash each other half to death. Sensational two way stroking - ringsiders gasping at the body licks these girls are dishing - both leaning in ear to ear, trying to lever the other just enough to get at something vulnerable. By the final minute, Packard's all used up. She clinches listelessly, trying to bog Eliza down as Dushku pushes and nudges for punching room, effectively smuggling short lefts and rights into the pit of Kelly's stomach at the bell. Ref pulls 'em apart as neither comprehends the bell - what a fight. Mish, Liu and other interested parties clapping happily at the damage done. After a lengthy delay, decision comes back a draw.

After: Entourages milling about, girls meet mid ring bare handed, talking. Kelly puts her hand on Eliza's shoulder, forcefully trying to convince Dushku that she lost that fight in reality - Eliza slapping the blonde's hand away - sweaty, bruised, angry young women get red faced with argument before gently being escorted apart, both absolutely convinced of their own superiority. "I never thought I'd see the day when Kelly Packard got cheap," grumbles Eliza, "she used to fight like a brunette. Now she's just another blonde leather pusher."
