(BBU Independent vs The Metermaids)

BEFORE: Tamsin Egerton spend almost two years on the sidelines and lost her Beevers management in the proccess before coming back to knock Alex Curran out earlier this season and at the age of 27 she's got loads to spare on her BBU career which makes her an instant betting favorite according to both Denise van Outen and Georgie Thompson. On the other hand, her tonight's opponent makes an official BBU debut but even when you consider Tara Moss is into her 40s, that 6'1" height leaves plenty of opportunity to cause Egerton serious trouble and one should never underestimate anyone in this division based on the sheer punching power of women involved.
Tamsin Egerton wears a black bikini set and red gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a loose ponytail. Tara Moss wears a silver bikini top, brown mini-skirt and golden gloves. Long blonde hair straight, tucked behind the ears. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.
Round 1:
Moss is well aware of her supreme reach advantage and begins the fight a bit half-hearted which meets instant pressure from the younger blonde who pins her chances to defeat the Australian on the heavy work load and the sheer ammount of punches tearing the defence apart. She loops a hooking series upstairs to keep Tara honest from the start and when the Aussie wants to pay back, she gets pummelled on the body and remains staggered in the middle of the ring with Tamsin punishing her midriff instead. Egerton rides the aggressive tactics to the limit piercing the ribcage with repeated slaps and ducking underneath the high assault which doesn't do Moss any good because she needs to yield real estate before Tamsin just chops her down. Despite the height & reach advantage she comes around as a sluggish boxer and can't quite embrace the uptempo approach from the younger blonde. Bell halts the midriff pounding with Tara breathing heavily already and Tamsin staring at her full of confidence.
Round 2:
The Aussie blonde finally lands a good series to her opponent's face but gets immediately countered on the body and reels into a low cover that exposes her upstairs and has the English actress thumping her chin with a quick uppercut combo. It will take something more to take Tara down though and when the Aussie unloads a big left hook to catch Tamsin on the eye, the younger blonde has to retreat for a while and actually enables Moss to chase her around with menacing swings from both sides. Nonetherless Egerton is much faster across the boards and avoids the pressure to mount a late rally in the final minute instead which meets an improved Aussie guard and has both women clinching at the bell.
Round 3:
Egerton wants to beat Moss for the initial punch and set up the entire contest after that however the high assault fails to bother the Aussie and before Tamsin can switch back on the body where she had more success, Tara clocks her with a left hook again and threatens to deliver more punishing blow forcing the younger blonde back again. It's another difficult start for the alleged favorite and Moss - allthough visibly slower on her feet - channels the haymaker route and since it's her debut nobody can really tell if she has that one-punch destruction in her yet and well, Tamsin doesn't want to find out about that either so the round concludes on a low-key note with Moss hassling her over the top and just about getting even for that terrible opening round.
Round 4:
Hit & miss approach from Moss who struggles to lay down the big punch and Tamsin's one of the smaller welters anyway which enables her to seek a bendy escape so much desired by most of the big girls. Tara finally concedes the chase and wants to tease the English foe into more attacks yet she regrets that when Egerton slips by for a liver area jabbing combo before thumping the fellow blonde's boobs and clipping her chin in the proccess. Moss bellows out behind a high earmuff and it looks like she's unwilling to take a punch on her debut as well but Tamsin barges into her chest with more jabbing drill and does really well to stagger the taller woman in the middle of the ring as the clock expires.
Round 5:
Both women seek an attacking break through but as Tara misses the high approach, Tamsin clubs her to the body instead before ripping an uppercut on the jaw and adding a left hook on the eye... Moss yelps in pain and stumbles back on her heels but more importantly she fails to raise her gloves in time and has Tamsin blastng her across the mouth and adding another hook on the eye... AND MOSS HITS THE ROPES where Egerton comes crashing down on her with a fierce attack that snaps the head back and has the English actress mauling her opponent's face in a hurry... the Cardiff crowd loves this and Tara's badly exposed butt-in-ropes which leaves her nursing a couple of nasty cuts on both cheeks at the bell with the response nowhere to be seen. Tamsin regains a lot of confidence after that charge and shakes her glove in delight again while Moss swallows her pride a bit and avoids looking the fellow blonde in the eye.
Round 6:
Egerton jumps into a leather fury now that she can finally dig deep into Moss' face and she dismantles the Oz guard at will before stalking the bruised cheeks repatedly in the opening minute. Tara really does look very slow on her feet and unable to break free and her wide swings are too predictable to cause any damage even if she clocks Tamsin a few times. The English rage in unstoppable now and tears more patches in Tara's face which slumps the taller blonde on soft knees and exposes her even further... Egerton's fitness is also supreme and while the Aussie moans out in more disarray, the English blonde just keeps on delivering the strikes and all but destroys the high guard leaving Tara's arms collapsing by her side late in the round and just batting the Aussie veteran back to her own corner. Bell halts the onslaught but Denise van Outen thinks there's no way back for Moss anymore.
Round 7:
Tara grinds to a halt in the middle of the ring when Tamsin beats her for a quick overhand and begins to maul the face again... the guard doesn't stop anything at this stage and the ammount of punches breaks the Aussie resistance making Moss moan and wobble forward into a punishing uppercut drill that finally puts her away for good... Egerton blasts a set of three uppercuts shutting Tara's eyes and leaving her ignorant to a brutal right hook on the ear THAT CHOPS THE AUSSIE BLONDE DOWN on the spot.... Moss' legs give way and send her crashing down on her side and she's too beat up to beat the count... she remains crippled on the canvas and the English actress can start her winning dance already! KO7 Tamsin Egerton!!!
AFTER: That's Tamsin's second victory after clearing the free agency protocol and perhaps Denise Lewis made the cardinal mistake cutting the blonde loose? Tamsin couldn't break out of the Beevers shadow lingering behind Samia Ghadie, Alesha Dixon and Lisa Maffia but now vows to take over the disivion by the storm and fill the title vacancy. It's been a while since a free agent rose to the throne anywhere in BBU and there's a long way to go for the delightful actress but with fellow long-time absentees Javine Hylton, Sabrina Washington and Tiana Benjamin pondering her options the welterweight is set to become a massive battleground even before the spring.
Meanwhile Tara Moss is finally revived to her feet and she at least offers the crowd a big smile but her jaw is still hurting after that KO drive. She has some tools to trouble the division and at 6'1" she can keep anyone at bay however she needs to learn how to use those skills into her advantage and nothing buys you experience in this league. Of course age is her downsize and Denise van Outen thinks that even with several fights under her belt she'll never seriously bother opponents in their late 20s like Egerton tonight. But even the proudest BBU TV reporter can get it wrong sometimes so let's don't jump into any conclusions before seeing the Aussie more.
