TESS VALMORE
DE PABLO/MACK De Pablo was back in the ring after a 3 1/2 year layoff. She showed her boxing skills by boxing her way to taking the first two rounds, In the third, Mack started getting in close working the body to take the round, She continued the body attack in the fourth to even the fight. In the fifth, Mack's body work payed off as De Pablo’s guard dropped and Mack landed a huge uppercut that ended the fight with De Pablo out on the canvas
LE FEVRE/TORV Le Fevre came out fighting aggressively and had won three of the first four rounds In the fifth, Torv showed she had enough of Le Fevre and by the end of the sixth, she had banged her way to even up the bout. Early in the seventh, Torv landed a straight right that sent Le Fevre to the canvas for a nine count, It didn’t take Torv long to end the fight as another right hand had Le Fevre staggering around the ring and the fight was stopped
PINK/STEFANI I hate to say this but I had to agree with Mac that this wasn’t going to be much of a fight. I was wondering just what Pink was doing as Stefani took the first two rounds. Pink got a little serious in the third and had evened up the bout by the end of the fourth. The fifth round was a draw In the sixth, Pink finally landed a three punch combination that sent Stefani down for the count. I thought it was a less than impressive performance from Pink
ROHM/DECKER Even though Decker hurt Rohm in the third, the fight was even at the end of four. Decker hurt Rohm again in the fifth and had her handing on at the end of the round. Decker came out with the intention of finishing the bout in the sixth. She did. She sent Rohm down on the floor to stay with a right hook
PEREGRYM/SOBIESKI To me this was going to be the fight of the night. Two top of the line fighters in the ring. I thought Missy would rely on speed and Leelee on power. It kind of went that way in the first four with the bout being even at the end of four. Missy decked Leelee in the fifth and then won the sixth to take a big lead. Sobieski closed the lead by winning rounds seven and eight only to have Peregrym reopen her lead by winning round nine. Sobieski needed a knockout in the tenth to win. She cam close having Peregrym staggering and holding on, but Peregrym managed to stay on her feet to get the decision I think this was a huge win for MIssy
HUDGENS/STEWART I have to admit that I am not a big fan of Stewart who has built a great record by beating nobodies. She lost her last bout to Hudgens and frankly I was hoping she would lose this one. She didn’t. As so often happens the bout was even at the end of four, Hudgens surged into a big lead by flooring Stewart in the fifth and taking the sixth. After that it was all Stewart. She decked Hudgens in the seventh, had her hurt in the eighth and finished her off in the ninth with a straight right that put Hudgens down for the count. Nobody seems to pay attention to the fact that Hudgens had to fight on the PPV card 24 hours earlier. I would say she deserves a rubber match. Let’s hope it is soon
I haven’t gone back to check. but I think this is the third straight Asylum card in which one of the involved fighters had also appeared in the PPV 24-48 hours earlier |
