BEFORE: Samantha Jade hardly broke sweat in stopping Katherine Jenkins back in November and now returns to face former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan who suffered a couple of defeats in 2015 but they were against Top 10 ranked Jade Ewen and current challenger for the flyweight title Lily Allen. It doesn't get any tougher than this however because Jenkins isn't a very good benchmark these days, it still remains to be seen if Samantha's actually any good herself.

Samantha Jade wears a navy blue bikini and white gloves. Dark brown hair straight. Keisha Buchanan wears a black basque top, matching knickers and red gloves. Black hair long & straight tucked behind the ears. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Samantha comes in hot with a high jabbing drill that immediately puts Keisha on notice when she gets nailed over the top and falls into a steady close range assault. She tries to weave away into safety but eats a belter hook on the liver area bending forward while the Aussie blasts her with a quick uppercut on the jaw AND SENDS THE ENGLISH SINGER CRASHING DOWN on her knees... That was ultra fast knockdown inside the opening minute and perhaps Jade is truly that good? Keisha beats the count at six and indicates she just slipped there but bellows out into a high earmuff cover thereafter with Samantha lashing out at her from both sides but just unable to land that big haymaker to potentially finish Buchanan off already. Keisha's footwork allows her to escape and survive the round but she stares at Lioness coach Gina Wild in complete disbelief after that knockdown stunner.

Round 2:
More aggressive jabbing from the Aussie stalks Buchanan early but the English girl leans on her front left and drives a heavy uppercut up the middle to catch the fellow brunette on the rack before adding a quick strike on the jaw and staggering Samantha in the center of the ring. Katherine Jenkins never punched back that hard so Jade reels back on her heels when Keisha unloads more venom upstairs and is quickly shut down along the ropes having to clinch the meancing Sugababe. She tries to punch herself away from the ropes but Keisha shows some core strenght and wrestles her into the corner where she spikes the ribcage and makes sure the first round knockdown is no longer threatening. Jade scowls in her efforts and looks visibly annoyed at the bell with Buchanan breathing down her neck and having to be restored by the ref.

Round 3:
Jade still looks to find that opening round success again but as she engages in a mindless leather bash in the center of the ring, Keisha actually spikes her more efficiently and bursts the left brow ridge into a swollen shape which roots the Aussie to the spot as she begins to realize that Buchanan can inflict some damage. A quick strike on the liver area bends her to the side and has Keisha thumping uppercuts on the boobs and stuffing Samantha towards the corner. A late clinch enables the Aussie to survive the power assault to the body but Buchanan's right on top of her regardless and that early knockdown seems a bit unfortunate for all the Sugababes' fans.

Round 4:
Keisha riffles a steady rush over the top and snaps Samantha's head back repeatedly in the opening minute before switching to the body again and ripping harpoons around the brunette's elbows. Jade gets rooted to the spot and wobbles on her feet but she can't apply the clinching respite anymore as Buchanan bumps her off and beats for a heavy uppercut on the jaw... Samantha sags on her knees with a quiet whimper but simply gets pummelled to the turnbuckle afterwards and sinks even deeper on her knees as Keisha batters her from each side trying to hook up with the chest. Sam opens up when she gets caught on the solar plexus but as she skids wide with a chaotic and sluggish response, Keisha smacks her on the mouth and adds another hook on the swollen left brow ridge to leave the Aussie brunette slumps against the ropes at the bell.

Round 5:
Samantha groans in discomfort when Keisha resumes the heavy jabbing to dispatch her guard and the idea of a similar response in a truly mindless fashion quickly backfires on the Aussie who fails to throw the former Sugababe off her stance - despite landing a solid series up the middle - and gets clobbered on the nose instead reeling back on her heels in the proccess. Buchanan screams out and leaps forward with a quick hook on the mouth and riffles a high cross to punish the fellow brunette's nose too.. Samantha loses her footing and drops her guard literally crashing against the turnbuckle but Buchanan then traps her in that position and hammers along from both sides spiking the midsection raw... Jade gurgles in pain but can't keep her arms low enough and Keisha scythes her across the face too which finally breaks the Aussie resilience down AND FORCES HER TO TAKE A KNEE in the corner... Jade looks badly affected by all the punches racking up against her and fails to catch her breath even when she gets up at eight. Buchanan wants to resume the punishment as soon as possible but the clock expires and postpones her plans.

Round 6:
Jade's really slow on her feet and keeps moaning when Buchanan just rips more punches into her body trapping the tired looking singer in the center of the ring. A low series spikes the ribcage and as Sam drops her guard to protect the aching guts, she gets whacked on the chin with a left hook and eats a right hand on the temple in a speedy follow up... she bends forward and slumps against Keisha's chest with eyes closed and her demise is confirmed when the English singer belts her on the liver area SENDING HER FACE DOWN ON THE CANVAS in the proccess. Samantha rolls into an embrional position and hugs her midsection while the ref duly counts her out and raises the winner's hand in the air moments later. KO6 Keisha Buchanan!!!

AFTER: Many people in the audience expected another lightning fast victory from the Aussie singer but that first round knockdown prove to be a false dawn after all. And that was a very impressive comeback from the often maligned Keisha who might have misjudged her schedule last year fighting title contenders instead of focusing on the easier opposition. There are plenty girls left in the division she can beat up and Jade just became one of them. Perhaps she's not that good as the Jenkins blow out indicated but then again, she still smoked the Sugababes veteran into tasting the canvas inside the opening minute and one can only wonder where she ends up while racking almost 20 fights under her belt. Keisha scores her sixth win in 18 tries but that still leaves her as the least successful BBU fighter among her ex-bandmates.
