Before: Cox the long time boss at 110, virtually retired by Lucy Liu, but not opposed to "mopping up snot nosed punks who need a beatin'" from time to time. Courteney a sharp punching, trigger fisted boxer - the kind of girl who's cut Mish up in the past - Williams undaunted, but this is a tough, tough fight for her. Cox ripped on the scales - you can see the age on her face, but not on her body - age not expected to be a factor. Cox in black everlast sports bra, red aerobics bottoms, ponytail, Mish in red push up, white bikini bottoms.

During R1: Mish buzzsaws across the ring and gets in a few free whacks across Cox' six pack abs as brunette leans against the ropes, hands high. Court spinning out of danger eventually, leads Mish across the ring and pattern develops: Cox stepping back, hands at her stomach, lashing and batting with left jabs and hooks, catspawing Mish' ear, backhanding to the eyes - Mish taking until she crowds Cox at the ropes, then jumping in with crazy hooks to the hips and waist, getting off violently until Courtney can spin clear and start the rear guard action all over again. Williams with blistering touches to the stomach finally has Cox folding forward to clinch lightly about the blonde's neck - Mish feverishly swiping left hands to the stomach PUTS COX DOWN! Former champ on one knee, face twisted in pain - she gets gingerly to her feet at the bell as Mish runs around the ring like an Italian soccer player.

R2: Mish storming across the ring, rams Cox hard between the breasts with the top of her head and nearly scores a knockdown with the butt. Court reeling to the ropes, covers up high, swiping desperate little counter shots to the ears, but it's all Michelle Williams. Mish goes bell to bell, head on Courteney's chest, reefing hooks to the side, swiping viciously over the top with the odd right hand - constantly pushing and propping Courteney in between blasting flurries. Cox wide eyed and more than a little shellshocked after 6 minutes of blonde fury.

R3: Courteney slowly imposing order - she's still retreating, forcefeeding left hands to the face and ear of Mish, but now when brunette hits the ropes, she clinches, turns and escapes - Williams not making as much contact as she did earlier. Courteney slicing that low slung left hand 2 and 3 times across the face or upside the head with a dabbing little hook, or backfisting the jab to the eyes and nose - Williams getting chopped up as she continues to come forward. Down the stretch, Cox stepping back, speed bagging Mish's face and ending with a slicing right cross from the waist to buckle Williams knees at the bell. Mish busted up in her corner - Cox still has those nifty-quick hands.

R4: Cox relying on her height, lanky reflexes, holding her hands low, leaning away and slicing Mish up with 3 and 4 batting punches to the face as Williams crouches forward. Williams still getting to the ribcage, but not enjoying sustained moments of dominance - it's all catch as catch can. Midway through, Cox rocks back out of range and counters with that slick right hand from the hip - swiping William's mouthpiece clean off her teeth - fall away hook - DOWN GOES MISH! Williams looking sleepy - she beats the count and stumbles forward as Courteney steps back with a little Ray Robinson look, then steps back in with the scalple left hand. Mish catching short backhand jabs on her bruised face, crouches down and poses - Cox able to stab down with the right cross to skid her fist across the blonde's swollen features. Williams wobbly butt and battered at the bell - Cox has her girl ALL busted up.

R5: SHOWBOAT! Cox partying now - dancing, shimmying her shoulders, cooing to the touched-up blonde as she drops her hands outside. Cox lifting her fists up for quick strike 3 punch rips up the middle, then bouncing away - Williams looking more and more punchy as she follows, catches, turns and follows somemore. Final minute: Cox wheeling backwards as she circles Williams, peppering the left hand and COX GOES DOWN! Out of NOWHERE a leaping left hook drops Court to her back - SHE gets up woozy and Mish palms her girl by the shoulders, putting her ropeside and feasting on that belly with some lusty whacks. Cox staring, helpless, gives up a few late shots to her ribs as the ref pulls the outraged blonde away from behind.

R6: Cox jaw showing signs of swelling - she's all business this round, hard hatred glittering in those dark eyes. Hands low, nibbling jabs, and slicing mean right hands from the hip as Mish gives up a tremendous connect percentage in forcing the fight. Midway through, Cox with that batting, catspaw left on the ear has Mish stumbling sideways and a pounding right skids off the forehead to drop Williams for a second time. Mish rolling to her back, gets up slowly - she's jabbed to the ropes and picked apart as Courtney finds her face again and again with heartless straight lefts and rights to the bell.

R7: Mish' eyes in slits - her face purple with abuse - she marches on Courteney with inhuman determination as Cox rests ropeside. Court defending up top well - Mish' wide blows to the head hit mostly glove - but the body is starting to take unacceptable punishment. Cox twisting, hands high, trying to take punches on her obliques, teeth gritted. Williams pounding gut in an effort to take some of the spring out of those slender legs.

R8: Cox flat footed, hands at her waist - she's feeling the effects of those body punches as she grimaces, steps to the side, touches Mish with opening jabs. Williams bends into an overhand right, but she's beaten clean to the punch as Court twists into a stinging right - Cox with her elbows in tight uses her torso to punch and Williams is HURT! Cox getting everything into the hardest punch of the fight, dances away in amazement as Williams, swoons, recovers and starts to stagger after her opponent for more! Incredibly, Mish walks through the slashing attack to brazenly pound ribcage, finishing the round strong with Cox up against the ropes once again.

R9: Mish taking over on a discouraged Courteney Cox - Courteney covering up, lolling ropeside more and more - Williams able to roll her shoulders, welt the body with authority as Court doesn't answer. Punch out put falls steeply, but Mish keeping it on her foe, laying in, tying up, slugging with both hands - Cox open mouthed and drained through 9 tough rounds.

R10: Cox with a run and shoot first minute, but Williams tracks her down, beats the life out of those legs with sinking hooks to the body, walks Cox to the ropes and pours it on to the bell. Courtney protecting her head, drooping forward slightly as Mish lays inside, scoring mostly single lefts or rights with crunching pop around the brunette's elbows. Exhausting brawl goes the route - Cox pale and clammy sinks into the ropes hollow eyed - Mish wearily lifting her mitts struts the ring before the decision. Comes back UD10 Mish Williams.

After: After pundits get a chance to digest this performance, many hail it as Williams' best ever. It's the kind of fight the blonde's lost in the past - Cox far from shot - a classy, super fit brunette with championship pedigree and Mish beat her into a slack jawed stupor over the last two rounds to post a clear decision victory. Crowd giving both girls a standing ovation at the announcement - bodies all over the ring - back and forth action - knee-weakening shots fielded and responded to - Williams adding to her rep as an exciting crowd pleaser with this effort.
