After disposing of Lara Bingle in December, Kelly Hall was keen to build on her moment of fame. Whilst her This is Glamour management counselled against putting her unbeaten record on the line so soon against a fighter with real calibre. Hall herself had no such reservations and called out former BBU Flyweight champ Emily Atack on Twitter. Atack, who herself was plotting her own bid to regain her title, quickly accepted, after Googling to see who had had the audacity to call her out. Spice was added to proceedings where, at the weigh-in, Hall tossed in the bin a CD arising from Atack’s sorry attempt at a pop career. Both girls proceeded to get in one another’s faces with Atack being heard to mutter, “nothing but a pair of tits.”

The weight is scheduled for ten rounds in the Flyweight division and is taking place at Wembley Arena, London. Apart from their nipples, both girls seem to make light of the subzero temperatures by stripping off to bras and panties in the ring. Hall is wearing a cream set and red gloves, whilst Atack’s outfit has a flower pattern and is completed by blue gloves. 

Round one: Hall starts by working behind a strong jab in the early round. She looks like the faster of the two fighters. Atack goes to the body then Hall replies with a double hook to the body. One minute in. Atack goes to the body, then pops Hall with a jab. Atack is putting together some combinations but Hall’s jab is working well. One minute to go. More body work is put in by Hall. Atack tries to open up on the ropes, but simply eats more body shots. Atack continues to pursue and land punches until the bell.

Round two: Atack is busy early doors, firing in combinations. Hall answers with body blows. The girls clinch. Solid hook by Atack. Hall replies to the body with more power hooks but also lands a hard one upstairs. Hall digs a right downstairs and a hook upstairs, one minute into the round. Good exchanges in the centre, with both girls digging to the body. A stiff jab snaps Atack's head back, after which Hall digs to the body with right hands. Atack tries to back her to the ropes, but gets reversed. One minute to go. Left hooks by Hall. Atack with a hook upstairs and they trade at the bell.

Round three: Atack starting fast once more. Hall cracks her with a left hook, then returns to the jab. Atack is staying busy but eating more than she lands. Hard body blows by Hall, then that ramrod jab. One minute in, Atack lands a sequence upstairs. Lead hook by Atack, then she goes downstairs. She's warned for low blows! Hall continues to bang to the body, then lands some right hands upstairs before the girls clinch. Swatting right by Atack but Hall replies with a bigger one. Atack in pursuit and lands a right downstairs, before being hit herself by a left up top by Hall.

Round four: Clinch to start. Atack is now sporting a cut above the eye. Atack goes low but this is followed by a right hook by Hall, then a combination. One minute in, Hall
goes to the body, before Atak clinches. Hall rips to the body. Atack is still landing, just not with the same volume or effect. Another set of right hands land for Hall. Atack with a counter combo. Another right hand by Hall. One minute to go. More brutal right hands from Hall. Atack is getting chewed up by these combinations. Even the jab looks like it hurts.

Round five: Atack lands a hook early. Hall dings her with yet another right hand soon after, then a hook. Good combo by Atack. Hall with a right downstairs, eats one upstairs and goes low. They go at it inside, then Atack tries to pursue and runs into a 1-2. One minute in. Hall is winning these exchanges, landing brutal body shots. Atack sneaks in an uppercut. Clinch. Nasty hooks downstairs from Hall. Atack's face does not look good, although she does land a combo before clinching. One minute to go. Atack still slinging leather, but eats another pair of right hands. Right cross by Hall, then an uppercut and right cross. Savage combination by Hall. Atack gets right back
in there and goes to work with her own shots. Great end to the round.

Round six: The action continues at the start of ther round. Hall is the sharper, faster puncher but now sports a cut of her own. She lands an uppercut between clinches and then a left hooks upstairs. Another left hook to the head. Counter rights from Hall. Atack is game, just not landing with the same kind of effect. Atack goes to the body, and eats some hooks for her troubles. Four-punch combo from Hall, then clinches. One minute to go. Check hook from Hall, then a series of heavy body shots and a check hook.

Round seven: A slower beginning to the round. Hall continues to win the jab battle and is moving well, potshotting the body. One minute in. Atack goes way low with a punch, but Hall doesn't take long. She goes back to work with left hooks ,but eats a combination. Hall right in there with her, throwing heat. Clinch. One minute to go. Atack goes to the body, eats a hard hook, and lands one of her own. Brutal check hook by Hall. Clinch. Right hands by Atack, right hands by Hall and left hooks. Nice
body shots by Hall, before she blasts Atack with another set of left hooks before the bell.

Round eight: Atack with a solid overhand right early. Nice body exchange and they continue trading blows. Atack is game as hell, but still eating more than she dishes out. Hall goes to the body, then clinches. One minute in. Left hook by Hall, then a right cross by Atack. Nice hook from Atack. Hall with a right hand as they separate. Solid hooks from Hall. One minute to go. Heavy exchanges. Hall's left hook is gorgeous. They continue exchanging until the bell.

Round nine: The exchanges continue. Neither girl has seriously hurt the other but Hall seems more in control. Body shot strays low. Hook by Atack. Three-piece combo lands for Hall. One minute in. Hall to the body. Atack putting together good punches. Hall backs her to the ropes, but eats more shots. One minute to go. Hall rips to the body. Atack having her best round of the fight. Hall continues tagging the body while Atack works combinations upstairs. Hall blasts her with a good combo late.

Round ten: They continue to trade in the center. Hall seems to have her wind again, stinging Atack with the jab and moving her head. Clash of heads and Atack seems either hurt or milking it. Still, she elects to continue. Hall goes right back to work, but eats a left hook inside. One minute in. Hall goes to the body and head with left hooks but Atack lands a body blow himself. Toe-to-toe exchanges in the center. One minute to go. Stiff jabs land for Hall. Nice power punches from both girls.

Final result: Hall defeats Atack by unanimous decision.

After:

Once their gloves have been removed, the girls refuse to shake hands. Atack is obviously agitated and is gesticulating wildly in Hall’s face. Hall gives her a two-handed shove in the chest. It is not clear what happens next- a lot of extra bodies enter the ring though. When order begins to be restored, Hall is seen arguing forcibly with Atack’s teammate and nominal rival, Maria Ozawa. I’m guessing they are not discussing the weather from their facial expressions.
