Before: Common opponent is Ledoyen - both vixens cleaned French clock early and Newton's confidence makes this an intriguing match up on paper. Williams a solid favourite - Thandie has that height and lanky build, but Mish has come a long way in terms of handling the division's boxers. Williams on a pretty hot streak - Newton people cautiously optimistic that pendulum is about to swing in their girl's favour. Thandie making the most of a mixed record and vocal fan support - title shot for Newton provokes grumbling from the usual suspects at Fly. Dark brown bikini, gold arm band for Newton, black bikini for Michelle.

During R1: Newton slicing her jab out there, dropping the right hand in behind to score some splashy one-twos early. Mish trying to time the taller girl, bobbing side to side with intent to sling her right hand over Newton's jab. Thandie keeping the action in the middle of the ring, controlling the champ with the stick - Mish coming up short with sizzling counters. During the break - corner wants more body work out of Williams.

R2: Mish gets the right hand she's been looking for - ducking under Thandie's jab, pulling the right over the top and LABELLING the willowy exotique's chin with knee-buckling force. Newton stiff legged, stupified - Williams gets after the ribcage with thundering wide left/rights. A hurting Thandie Newton sinks to the ropes, gloves limp at her face, eyes vacant - she stoops forward, grunting as Williams slams away to the waist and flanks. Mish keeping her head up between Thandie's mitts, banging away with furious intentions, occasionally stepping to the either side to clip the outside/in uppercut. Thandie sent woozy to her corner - she's hurting.

R3: CRIPPLING body shots midring from Mish - she's moving her head side to side, bobbing her way in close then REEFING at the midriff with heartbreaking wide lefts and rights. Thandie open mouthed in shock - she just can't take the ribwork and crumbles to the ropes on trembling legs. Williams beaming, hammering away with double and triple hooks to the lower right side, using the left elbow to prop Thandie back, then slamming the right hand between the brunette's mitts to drape her over the ropes. Sensational beating has ringsiders screaming for a stoppage and FINALLY the ref has seen enough. Newton out on her feet, being beaten senseless - finally rescued by the tardy official as Mish stomps away the KO3 victor.

AFter: Mish making a mockery of a very legitimate challenge to her throne - blonde is rapidly cleaning up the division with only the highest priced names yet to be subjugated. "You can't beat me with a jab anymore," proclaims the champ, "girls like Thandie think they can work the ring on me and they wind up hurt. Newton can make some money somewhere between Packard and Thiessen - I don't want to see her back up here until she's beaten some decent comp."
