Before: Mish angrilly denies the rumours: "It's absolute nonsense - I couldn't be happier for Dani. When one TE fighter wins, we all win - it's a ratification of our system and training methods. You people should check your facts before you open your mouths. Aren't you supposed to check your facts?" Back to the fight at hand - Applegate the naturally bigger woman with a reputation for leaving her A game in the gym - tune up bout but not a gimme for Williams. "The size advantage is the only thing Applegate's got going in this fight." Says Mish, "if we were both the same size, I doubt we could have gotten this thing sanctioned - I've got way too much experience on her. We're looking for hard rounds out of Christina - I'm not interested in any one who's going to roll over for me. It doesn't do me any good if they don't fight back." Mish in black bikini, Christina showing brunette, red and white striped bikini, ponytail.

During R1: Williams wobbles Chris with an early hook, pulling the punch sharp across the brunette's forehead. Mish with smart pursuit, stepping to the side and chopping her shots head and body - Applegate battered to the ropes and taking punches. Midway through, Mish getting butt wobble out of Applegate again, this time with a sweet left uppercut, pivot left and sharp hook/right hand on the ear - Applegate spilling to her left along the ropes with a queasy look. Williams finishing up the round brawny with her girl covered up in the corner - Mish banging away with short lefts and rights, bruising up Christina's biceps and shoulders with nasty forearms and elbows on clipped follow through.

R2: Hello - Applegate resistance. Christina with her hands up, smart jab up the middle, firm right hand, finishing up with the hook. Williams lazy on the way in, not moving her head, getting eaten up and forced back on numerous attempts inside as Christina scores, steps forward after rejecting the blonde.

R3: Big banging body attack from Mish - Williams much better this round as she dips side to side, weaves in close, then reaches down Christina's sides to welt the waist. By the halfway point, Applegate's hobbled, leaning forward, taking shivering licks up into her torso as Williams lays down the shutout.

R4: Applegate blocking whistling Mish leather early, backing up as the blonde opens up. Williams smart - pokes a decoy jab high to occupy Christina's forward guard, then sneaks the stubby right cross onto the jaw, spilling brunette wide eyed to the ropes. FIRM rub down to consolidate - Williams getting in close, laying her head outside either Applegate shoulder and plying her girl with busy body work, licking outside-in uppercuts as good ship Christina starts to take on water. Applegate battered to the corners - she's not tying up, prefering to turtle and let Mish bang away at the defence. Williams working up a healthy sweat as she lathers away to the bell.

R5: Christina's solid fundamentally, keeping it together mentally, and Mish is making casual errors in this fight. Williams walking straight in again, Applegate potshotting the right hand, biting off the hook, stepping to her left - she's playing nice touch-and-go with Mish and getting away with it. Midway through - a frustrated Mish trying to storm up the middle - she's tagged a nice one-two, walked into the check-hook as Christina steps back, then beaten to a banging right hand and WILLIAMS TAKES A KNEE! Mish clipped clean and stunned, takes her 8, but comes off the ropes smokin'! Hammer and tongs midring as Williams fights with bared-teeth aggression, lavishing Applegate's ribcage with leather up to and after the bell.

R6: Mish storms across the ring - Applegate fades to the ropes, blocks up high as Williams gets off, then drops a stiff counter right hand on the cheek, spins out as Mish falters off balance. Wild, reckless assault from Williams, but Applegate calmly backing up, turning to the right or left and picking Mish up with pre-emptive jabs, straight right hands and nasty left uppercuts. Williams walking through it all impressively, but she heads back to her corner bleeding from the nostril - gets a lecture from Syren on her stool.

R7: Williams calming down, getting back to what was working. Side to side bob gets her past Applegate's pedestrian jab - hard sidearm licks across the waist have Christina backing up hurt to the ropes - Williams able to step in to operate. Mish banging away, stepping to either side, combinations from angles really breaking Christina down. Mish doubly effective with vicious elbow smashes on her girl's arms or ribcage as a result of tightly clipped punching - Applegate wincing and flinching as the beating adds up without respite from the ref. Midway through, Mish taps a left hand to Applegate's ear, then buries the left hook in behind the elbow - pain-wracked sob from Christina as she folds forward in agony. Mop-up flurry from Mish showers down on the back of Applegate's head and lower back - Applegate spilling to her hands and knees all roughed up. Christina sits on her haunches and gives it up - KO7 Mish Williams.

After: Sloppy at times, but bruising overall - Mish Williams puts the hurt on Christina Applegate as the brunette illustrates that sparring partner mentality. Applegate likely a better fighter than she showed, but needs confidence and some leadership to realize any potential. Could also use some financial backing to support her formal complaint against Williams for elbows, rabbit and kidney punching, late hits and poor sportsmanship - falls on deaf ears without a little clout to move things along. Mish lacking the chilling focus that saw her blank the likes of Rachel Stevens in similar tune-ups - shows you how far she's come that some are criticizing a solid KO7 win.
