Before: Purposeful match up for Mish - TE wanting the blonde to work on her decision making as much as anything else in the wake of disasterous losses to raw Kim Jones. "Gillian's the kind of cagey veteran who forces you to think," acknowledges Mish, "I can't just step to her and expect to win, and that's what I need." Navy silk camisol and panties for Gillian, red lace push up and panties, white lace trim Mish. Anderson looking a little soft, comes in plump on the scales, enters the ring as a bantamweight.

During R1,2,3: Solid, hardworking action rounds, mostly cheek to cheek, cuffing, clouting work on the inside, but Mish showing some variety in her game. Williams stepping out and walking around behind her jab - she's constantly seizing and re-seizing the initiative as Anderson stays behind a tight defence, waiting to get back mouth on shoulder. Gillian fighting in spots, letting Mish get off in volume, but placing nice right hands on the jaw or biting hooks in around the elbow to keep pace. Williams mixing up her punches well - she's got the uppercut, hook, jab, and a jamming little right hand in tight, spreading out the punishment body and head. AFter 3, Mish takes 1 and 3, Gillian the second - Williams corner wants her to step up the pace on the 'old woman'.

R4: Systematic punishment doled out by Mish Williams as she responds to her corner's wishes. Anderson letting herself be steered and guided by Williams jab - Gillian maneuvered time and again to the ropes where blonde can square up and go at that midsection. Mish walking Gillian down, banging her up as Anderson wilts, not getting off, holding and slumping badly as the beating intensifies. Down the stretch, Williams uptempoing, has Gillian seated in the ropes - blonde hopping to the either side to lever in vicious sidearm body shots from an angle. Anderson badly gutted, takes a knee to help run the clock near the bell.

R5,6,7: This is what Gillian does - she's about to get rolled up, then she finds a way to get the other girl fighting the wrong fight. Williams still doing very well, but she's back cheek to cheek with Anderson, standing up and leaning in with Gillian, trading hacking blows, wrestling and struggling to press the redhead to the ropes. Anderson still placing clean scoring blows to keep pace - picking Mish's head up with the uppercut inside, smuggling in that digging left behind the elbow. Williams takes the 5th and 7th, Gillian the sixth - Syren getting impatient, wants Mish to start 'shovelling dirt on this girl.'

R8: Mish roaring across the ring, misses with a wild right hand, clangs home the comeback left, then sits down on heartstopping left hooks to the breadbasket and ANDERSON GOES DOWN! Mish jumping away all smiles at the successful pearl harbour - Anderson takes a shaky 8, eyes wide, mouth open - she goes directly into survival mode. All Mish Williams as Gillian turtles along the ropes - blonde climbing aboard, feasting on the sides, working hard to budge Gillian back just enough for the shoving right uppercut - Anderson not answering back, clinching when she can for breaks. Shutout Williams - Anderson pale, shaky after soaking up a consistent beating this round.

R9: Mish back on top, doubling up the jab, gets Anderson backing straight up and leans into a booming right cross to drape Gillian ropeside. Anderson staggered, hands at her chest - she's trying to roll with the right but getting caught hard on the jaw - Mish jabbing at the chest and leaning in without restraint. Another comprehensive beating develops - Mish making it look like form practice as she digs the body both hands, extends the left to Gillian's chest, then slams home the right hand. Anderson listless, bobbing at the waist, not punching back - she's getting battered as the ref takes a close look. Midway through, ref just about the stop it when Mish turns loose a shreiking short right, shattering Anderson's head violently to the side and dropping redhead straight down into the canvas. Williams stepping away all smiles - she leaves Gillian in a puddle - KO9.

AFter: Monster shot dramatically ends what had been a methodical, slogging affair for the most part - Anderson out for many, many moments, cameras catching Mish relaying the feel of the punch through her arm in animated fashion. Sometimes veterans are dangerous, and sometimes they come in looking to survive, collect a paycheque - Anderson had the look and feel of the latter but paid dearly for not doing those extra sit ups when Mish finally tagged her.
