Christina Ricci versus Hayley Orrantia

Before: It's another fight that continues the theme of this PPV to kick off the year, with a new fighter debuting here against an established veteran – this time in Christina Ricci.

Hayley is versatile, being both a singer and actress, now establishing interest in expanding her interest to the world of celebrity boxing as well as she addresses the press, “I know I'm new here, but I've worked hard at everything I do to get to where I am today. I appear on the Goldbergs, which is on every Wednesday, 8:30 and 7:30 central time...” Hayley laughs, “Just a little plug, but seriously, I heard about the FCBA when I was opening for Julianne Hough years ago and I've been interested ever since. But, I've never had the opportunity until now and so, when Odds and Ends offered me an opportunity to debut against Christina Ricci, a former flyweight and JMD champion, I jumped at the chance. I'm excited just to be here, but make no mistake, I'm here to win!”

Christina Ricci smiles, “Odds and Ends are always happy to help foster and introduce new talent, but it's not an easy debut they threw her way. Lots of young girls think that we're just a stepping stone but ask Ashley Benson, Leighton Meester or Jamie Lynn Spears recently how that worked out for them. I don't mess around once I step into the ring. I may be a former flyweight champion and JMD champion, but I'm currently still kicking ingenue butt to show that I'm a force to be reckoned with. Today is just a regulation bout, so I don't get to ruin her jugs, but I can beat her body and that's exactly what I plan to do here today!!”

R1: It's a surprising start with Orrantia aggression as she works to impose will early and earn Ricci's respect, but Christina stands her ground to greet incoming punches with bashing lefts and rights to send her mitts crashing around Hayley's head and shoulders. Hayley is forced to crouch forward as Ricci immediately seeks to pound away underneath, just scooping up with digging uppercuts as she just sends repeated shots into tummy and tits until Hayley is forced to retreat. Hayley is relentless, however, circling and just working her way back in, but meeting the same enthusiastic response from Christina. Although Hayley is bold and relentless, it turns out to be counterproductive as she ends up pretty banged up in the exchanges and is walked down as Ricci takes control late and punches her way forward to win round one wide.

R2: The first round is unfortunately, for Hayley, almost identical to the first. Hayley is eager to initiate, just surging right up the middle to Ricci only to be forced to withstand unacceptable levels of punishment from Ricci, who is punching away furiously. Ricci's nostrils are flaring and eyes blaring, just swinging her gloves forward for tight, compact shots and poking her foe backwards to reject Hayley's advances over and over. Hayley seems surprised and Christina comes forawrd, taking advantage as she just scores with straight, jamming punches and then picking her up with uppercuts in close. Hayley is able to score as well, fighting well with counter-punches and in retreat, but is clearly out punched this round. Orrantia's bid to bang against Christina has not met with success yet and Christina takes another round wide.

R3: Hayley changes her tactics as she goes to come forward in order to hammer Ricci with the left jab, then pivoting clockwise to force Christina to move her feet. Surprised, Christina's output drops as she is forced to adjust to new angles and Hayley starts peppering her with shots along her body, just touching her up along her torso and stroking across her rack with some neat changes in direction. As she keeps wearing Ricci down with the sheer volume of her punches, she manages to conenct with a hard right hand in close and sidestepping right to bury in a hard jab into Christina's left flank. It's a good round for Hayley, scoring in spots of offense throughout and using her legs to control Ricci here in the third.

R4: Ricci comes forward, clearly frustrated by the previous round, just crouching forward as she weaves her way forward to keep her guard up and resume her previous aggression towards the ingenue. Hayley shows surprising poise as she chips at Christina's guard and up top with scraping shots and hard jabs to keep her from coming forward too much. Hayley sidestepping, moving to her left to avoid the whirling hooks from Ricci and then hopping back to the right to clip Christina with a right uppercut. Ricci continuing to battle her way forward, bullying her foe backwards, but unable to get into a steady rhythm as she finds herself preempted and poked by Orrantia! Late in the round, Hayley is going to town on Christina's tummy, which has Ricci doubling over in pain and then a quick hard-hitting Hayley left uppercut snaps Christina's head back. It's a short shot, but it hammers home as Ricci's head is lifted upwards, clearly shocked as she is wobbly-butt and dazed, but then the bell rings to allow Christina to escape to another round and Hayley is beaming as she jogs back to her corner exuberantly.

R5: Hayley surges forward, eager to finish off her opponent but Ricci is not going to go down that easy and proves pretty durable. Ricci bobs forward, crouching and weaving her way forward as Ricci jabs up out of her crouch. Ricci getting work done, just beating away with brawny rights and lefts in close as Hayley tries to resume slugging with Ricci. Orrantia catching clouting shots across her face and breasts, just forced to retreat but even backpedaling, she is repeatedly tagged with aggressive follow-ups from the whirlwind that is Ricci this round. Christina is slugging so aggressively, the ref watching closely to ensuring he maintains control, but aside from careless crowding in and elbows, Christina just bumping and grinding Hayley back to the ropes. It takes its toll throughout the round and Hayley is breathing hard, appearing disorganized as she is harassed all around the ring by Ricci, who takes the round wide.

R6: Hayley getting off to a good start, getting after Christina and shaking off her hurt as she seeks to back her foe up with ferocious hup-hup as she backs Ricci up. Christina firms up as they approach the ropes, however, just pumping forward shots with rapid-fire rights and lefts to slug her way off of the ropes. Ricci bashing up with rights up towards Hayley's head to put her back against the ropes, bullying her opponent back against the ropes. But, Hayley fighting back to hook her way off of the ropes and digging in shots behind Ricci's right elbow with heartless hooks to push her back against the ropes instead . It's hammer and tongs, in a bitter exchange, just stuffing in shots underneath as they focus on one another's abs. Midway through, Hayley has really settled on Ricci's rack and ribcage, just digging up underneath with short, shrugging uppercuts. Pushing Christina back against the ropes as Ricci struggles to reverse, but Hayley is standing her ground as she just pumps down below in non-stop fashion. Christina tries to clinch, but Hayley bumping Christina back into the ropes as Christina's guard struggles to maintain against the relentless torrent of offense pouring in from Hayley. Orrantia coming off of the body to move up top, just punching Christina's head side to side. A brutal intense right hand to her chin sends Christina falling to the side, horizontal to the ropes as she is caught with a brutal hook. Hayley steps backwards, mouth wide open in shock as her eyes glisten with excitement, watching the ref count up to 10 and although Christina struggles to rise, she can't beat the count. Hayley Orrantia in true upset fashion with a KO6!

After: Christina in no condition or interest to talk to reporters after her shocking loss, but Hayley is all-too eager to speak for the both of them as she bounces around the ring to speak to the press, “I can't believe it, but I did it! I took down Christina Ricci, who I respect so, SO much. But, I told you before the match that I am here to win and I am telling you that again now, victorious and although this was my very first official win, it won't be the last! I am here to stay in the FCBA!!” as Hayley runs around, giving high fives to the fans, blowing kisses and showing off her youthful and well-deserved excitement with this big win to debut here in the league!
