After beating Kat Dennings on her SSB debut, 26 year old Helen is now up against the superb Aly Michalka, the big former champion, who is a few months older than her, but far more experienced, and unbeaten against British fighters.

Aly has done Helen the honour of entering the ring first in a lilac bikini with white gloves and boots, Helen soon joining her in her red basque and panties, white gloves, red boots.

Round 1

Confident Aly lets Helen come to her in the opening minute, and the Brit takes advantage, giving a good account of herself as she belts the taller girl’s body, looking to punish her around the ribs and flanks as the American seems to have taken her too lightly, leans back on the ropes and takes more punishment, Helen really full of life here tonight, and she takes advantage of Aly’s arrogance by punching her to the body, Aly shocked, and at this stage not doing much other than try to block the Brit who eases through that opening round.

Round 2

Aly looks a little confused now as she finds herself again shipping punches to her body, teetering backwards as Helen mounts a big assault on her ribcage, her right hook clearly inconveniencing the bigger girl, who isn’t using her height or reach advantage, simply because Helen won’t let her, the Brit ripping into that lithe body, Aly’s skin turning pink, and Helen gives her a sharp uppercut as well, Aly deflecting it a little, but her head’s been knocked up and backwards, the American beauty in trouble, staggering, then holding, with Helen still cracking away at her body right through to the bell.

Round 3

In steams Helen again, lands a left hook on Aly’s ribcage, and now she goes for a hook to her head as well, but Aly’s ready this time, blocks that punch, and lands a sweet combination, her right cross sweeping Helen sideways, and at last she’s finding her range, gives Helen a hard time with three stiff jabs to the face, and rips in a left hook to her jaw to follow, Helen looking a little rubbery legged, needing to clinch, but taking more punishment, staggering backwards as Aly peppers her face with solid punches, Helen still trying to come forwards, but she’s been hurt to the body as well, Aly thudding a right hook into her cleavage, Helen squeaking and tottering a little, Aly grinning smugly at the bell.

Round 4

Aly’s making a bright start to the fourth, and she looks like she’s ready to close this fight out now, her jabs smacking hard into Helen’s face, and she aims a big right hook in on the Brit, who sways backwards, avoids a punch which could have taken her head off, and responds with three crashing punches to Aly’s unprotected body, bending the taller girl over with those, and she gets home with an uppercut to Aly’s face, and that’s stopped her grin, Helen working her backwards again, wanting and trying to pin the taller girl to the ropes, inside her reach, punishing her again in this round, and Helen seems to have recovered from the beating she took in round 3, even though she does have to eat a pair of clipping jabs in the closing seconds.

Round 5

Buoyed by her success in the closing seconds of the fourth, Aly’s back to her boxing and she gets home on Helen’s face with a smart little flurry of shots, her left jab just homing in on the Brit’s cheek and mouth, and in comes a right hook, a clubbing punch to Helen’s jaw which has her wobbling, going backwards, and her back hits the turnbuckle, Aly now taking control, thudding punches into Helen’s face again, the Brit’s head rocking and rolling to the left and the right as she takes a horrid battering, her attempts to fight back being thwarted by a bigger, frankly, better girl, and at the end of the round Helen looks a mess, bleeding from her nose and from a cut left eyebrow, and she doesn’t seem clear how to find her corner as she staggers sideways.

Round 6

Brave Helen makes the first move, trying to get inside Aly’s reach again, but the lovely blonde just whips punches into her swelling face, blood smeared across her cheeks now as Aly digs those shots in, Helen hardly able to stand as she takes a cruel uppercut, her legs buckling, and Aly finishes her off with a crushing left hook, Helen’s last act of the evening being to bounce off the canvas as she lands senseless on her back.

Result: Aly Michalka knocked out Helen Flanagan in round 6.

Aly almost paid the penalty for being over confident tonight, but she’s ended up making a real mess of Helen Flanagan, the poor girl being stretchered out of the arena and into a waiting ambulance.
