Missy Peregrym versus Cara Delevingne

Before: Cara has taken the modeling world by storm, is in the process of doing the same in Hollywood with roles in movies like “Pan”, “Paper Towns” and this year's DC Comics adaptation of “Suicide Squad.” Now, she wants to do the same to the FCBA as she speaks to the press, “In the modeling world, you've got to work hard to keep yourself in shape and keep yourself on top. There's no shortage of models who want to take your place and it's the same with any competitive environment, including the FCBA. Now, I'm completely aware that my management put me in against one of the toughest lightweights in the world and I'm taking Missy very seriously, but I saw what Joanne Kelly was able to do to her and I'm confident I can do the same. You look at other models like Adriana Lima, Brooklyn Decker and Kate Upton making their way into the league and I plan on being part of the modeling revolution going forward!”

Missy smiling as she addresses the press, shadowboxing in her corner, “Of course, lots of girls saw what Joanne Kelly did to me and I am going to hopefully get an opportunity to take Joanne on soon to prove I can handle her. But, instead of focusing on that, Cara should be watching on what I did to Leelee Sobieski in the match afterwards. I don't get focused on problems or roadblocks here in the league, I go about solving them. I don't go around them, I go right through them. I'm fully supportive of models coming into the league, but they are not going to make their name based on beating me! Not today and not ever!”

R1: Missy coming forward hard, just batting with hard straight lefts against Cara's body, then chopping in over the top to clout Delevingne across her face. Cara is groaning out, circling leggy away to freedom as she tries to catch Missy in pursuit. It's a rough first minute as she keeps getting battered around the ring, but midway through, Cara is able to get it right to hammer Peregrym with a hard right hand as Missy is charging forward to close. Cara able to switch over to offense as Missy is wobbly-butt, covering up earmuff as she just moves forward to a wild and fierce hup-hup of Missy's abs to freeze her up momentarily. Cara displaying an effective step-and-hook offensive gameplan as she then follows up with a hard hook to Missy's temple and ear to knock Peregrym out of orbit. Cara finishes off the round by roughhousing against Missy's rack to bully her back against the ropes, taking the first round wide.

R2: Missy shaking off the punishment, coming out determined behind a reinvigorated jab as Cara is frowning, forced to slip backwards and retreat. Cara keeps up the pressure with feints and good defense on her part to keep Missy cautious, but Peregrym just continuing to apply smart pressure as she walks Cara down with hard lefts to Delevingne's torso and short, compact right hooks to her rack. Peregrym just throwing hard to Cara's body, just pounding at tummy and ribcage, just drawing loud groans of complaint from Cara. Delevingne retreating towards the ropes, looking to lure Peregrym in and counter her like before, but Missy remaining disciplined and determined. Missy keeps pounding away with safe jabs, then thudding away with pounding rights when the opportunity presents itself. Missy bumping forward with the left hand, smothering Cara's offense and compressing Cara to the ropes, then just returning the favor as she shrugs in a left uppercut short across Cara's jugs, punishing her breasts in hard-hearted fashion. It's been an athletic display so far, but both girls attacking the rack early on to showcase some added intensity between the actress and model, but Missy pumping away to the bell until the ref pulls her off to award her the round wide.

R3: Missy comes forward aggressively, looking to push Cara backwards towards the ropes all big-girl, but Cara puts on a gorgeous show of counter-punching in the middle of the ring. Cara keeps up her defense in a closed stance, keeping her feet wide apart as she shifts and pivots. Missy scoring at points, just jabbing for Cara's head, rack and torso, but Cara is slipping by the majority of Missy's offense and showing off some impressive quickness . Cara is parrying and pivoting, just respoding with some short, slugging right hands to face and then swinging that left hook up from her hip to turn Missy's flank. Missy keeps pounding away with right and left hands, but Delevingne answers with wicked right uppercuts to Missy's breast and occasionally clouting her across the chin. Cara showcasing some great timing as Missy keeps coming in to connect, but missing too often and paying the price when she does! Missy keeps coming forward, poking and pushing back with relentless series of jabs, with Cara giving ground as she is pushed towards the ropes. Missy loads up with a right hand, but is preempted with a right uppercut from Cara as she is retreating and Missy goes down! Missy spills down to all fours, moaning out and staring in confusion as she is caught by surprise by a hard right uppercut from Cara! Missy gets back up to her feet just as the bell rings, but Cara sidesteps her at the bell, bumping her shoulder against her to send Peregrym off balance and then skips with excitement towards her corner, winking over her shoulder at Missy as she is jogging so exuberantly that her own heels are kicking her own buns practically!

R4: Missy recovers from the knockdown as she comes forward, upping her tempo and determined to take the fight to Cara. Cara still displaying excellent counter-punching and showing off her skills defensively as she fights from her closed stance, adjusting the angles and pivoting around to keep Peregrym off balance. Missy eager to get into a rhythm as she uses her jabs to locate Cara as she moves around, then occupies her with thudding rights and lefts as she chops away at Cara's torso and behind her elbow. Cara mouth-breathing a bit as Missy charges forward with short, shrugging lefts and rights inside until Delevingne is forced to give ground. Cara still whacking away up top and against Missy's rack, but coming in second-place in these exchanges as she keeps backpedaling. By the end of the round, it's Cara who is butt in ropes. Cara is doing her best to bob and roll her way to freedom, with Missy squared away and just twisting side to side with her hips to deliver thumping bod blows to Cara on either side at the bell. This time, the ref doesn't have to pull her off as she exchanges a cool glance to Cara as she pushes off all big-girl and showcases her own athleticism as she jogs back to her corner with equal enthusiasm!

R5: Missy comes forward, pumping the jab as she drives Cara back towards the ropes. Cara showcasing off the same gorgeous-counter punching from earlier round as she keeps Missy from gaining any ground in the first minute as she clips Missy across her chin and cleavage to daze the brunette. But, in the second minute, Missy manages to stuff in two short shots to Cara's tight abs to double her over, then a brutal left forearm into Delevigne's rack to stack her up, then a nasty left hook to her ribs and then a right just rips across Cara's cheek to swivel her head as Cara goes down! It's a wicked combination that beats Cara down to all fours and Missy is determined now, but is pushed backwards and she jogs back to her neutral counter. Cara breathing hard, but rallies and manages to beat the count. Cara gets back up to her feet, eyes showing hurt but determination as well as on comes Missy, just going to push Cara back against the ropes. Missy just lathering up against Cara's abs, forcing Delevingne to show earmuff in tight defense. However, Cara managing to retaliate by catching Missy with a sneaky left uppercut that clips Peregrym's chin to send HER wobbly-butt now. Both girls are clearly hurt, but still fighting hard and the crowd is going wild for it. Cara is sending in short and swatting left hooks to tits, torso and face whenever she can, rocking Missy as she battles her way off of the ropes, but Missy just whacking away with both hands, stuffing in shots to body as she seeks to cripple Cara's offense. Late in the round, Peregrym is just jabbing at Cara in close, then delivers her some straight right hands to her head. Cara is rocked, punched into a defensive crouch as Missy unloads with a savage pounding at Delevigne's abs. Cara forced to cover up low and then Missy delivers another shocking, but hard-hitting right cross to Cara's cheek that sends her spilling down to all fours. Cara struggles to stay upright, but then tumbles down face-first to the canvas . Missy leaps up into the air, pumping her fist with excitement as she heads back to her neutral corner to allow the ref to begin the count, which he does. Cara makes it back to her feet just after ten and the ref waves it, awarding the surprisingly intense match to Missy Peregrym via KO5!

After: The crowd is on their feet, cheering and showcasing appreciation for both fighters in this bout as Missy allows the ref to raise her hand in victory. Then, Missy struts over to Cara and raises her hand as well as both fighters stand in the middle of the ring – bruised, sweaty but still both very proud. Missy then pulls Cara into a big hug as the two whisper towards one another, audibly congratulating one another and showcasing the kind of sportsmanship that isn't always on display. Missy giving Cara a proud welcome to the FCBA beating, but Cara giving ALMOST as good as she got in a close bout between the two.

Cara sore clearly, but still upbeat as she addresses the press, “If you're going to be one of the best in the league, then you have to go up against the best. Going toe-to-toe and body to body with one of the best lightweights in the league was a real lesson for me but really eye-opening. Missy told me that she expects me to be competing here in the league for some time to come in the division and offered to let me train with her, Jaimie Alexander and others to make sure I can! Missy is pretty awesome and I hope to match up with her again in the future! She is the measuring stick I'll be competing against, but there are so many models here in the league now and I'm going to set myself apart!!”

Missy panting out, still catching her breathe a bit but beaming as well, “Cara is a model and I know that they haven't been taking seriously over the years, but that is changing as well it freaking should. She hits pretty hard, as you saw. I don't knock down easily, but she certainly did and anybody who takes her on in the future needs to be very careful. All of you and my body, which I'm going to go soak in an ice bath, can definitely bear witness to her skills!” as Missy sticks out her tongue over at Cara, “Delevinge deserves every opportunity she can get in the league and if she gets fights, she is going to get some wins! Watch out for her and if I ever get to match up with her again, then I totally will! This girl is going places, but then again, so am I!”

Missy and Cara exchange high fives as they head out of the ring, as the two plan to meet up later to celebrate Cara's debut, the beginning of a potential rivalry, definite friendship and last but not least, a fun start for them both to 2016!
