BEFORE:

"I WONDERED if I'd ever get another shot around here," says Kelly with a shake of her lovely head. "I wipe out Dixon and all of a sudden my phone doesn't ring for over a year. But, I'm back, and, hopefully, after I beat Ruah, I won't have to wait 15 months to fight again."

"Kelly showed something against Dixon," says Daniella without the hint of a smile. "But, she's about to find out that Daniela Ruah is no Alesha Dixon."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "We're back at ringside and that is 'Get Free' by Major Lazer, and here comes gorgeous brunette Kelly Thiebaud..."

McCarthy: "And, now that Grace Park is retired, we can start calling HER 'The Human Q-Tip'. Of course, she's not a typical Dancing Hooker opponent, because, at least Kelly HAS an FCBA win."

O'Dell: "Thiebaud into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a blue bikini and a long, lithe body..."

McCarthy: "Q-Tip! Q-Tip! Q-Tip..."

O'Dell (sighing): "Aaannddd that's 'Nothing Else Matters' by Metallica, and here comes 'The Portuguese Princess', Daniela Ruah!"

Tess: "Ruah looking to build on the momentum she's brought into the year after some impressive victories at the end of last year, Cassie..."

Cassie: "No question about it. The Front Street lightweight division is crowded, with seven girls, and Dani's looking to break to the top and finally get a shot at the Tiffany belts."

O'Dell: "Ruah into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that baby blue number she likes, and we're about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Daniela. Mac?"

McCarthy: "The Q-Tip has a shot here. She's not a complete tomato can, and Ruah's nothing special. But, I still think Daniela will win."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "There's the bell. Thiebaud quickly to the left jab, no surprise she wants to do some boxing here. Daniela more than willing to comply, and we've got gun platform stuff to get us started. That's not lasting long, though, because Kelly wants to circle with the jab. Daniela now turning with, and this is some good, slick stuff from both fighters..."

McCarthy: "Smart stuff from Thiebaud. She's very rangy and she's got good feet. Needs to make use of that."

O'Dell: "Kelly popping that jab, bobbing the head, moving the feet, slowly working in a circle. Ruah turning with, using her own long left to good effect. Both fighters dropping in the odd right hand, but it's mostly the jab in the early going as we definitely have some recon work taking place in there in the first."

Tess: "Kelly really does have excellent feet. She's bouncing and sliding, showing plenty of angles to Ruah."

O'Dell: "Dani a pretty slick boxer herself, though. She's able to move her own feet and get square so that she can get punches on. We're seeing more combinations as we approach the end of the round. Still mostly one-punch stuff, but the occasional flurry. Ten seconds left in the first. Couple of snapping jabs from Kelly and there's the bell. Close to Thiebaud."

Cassie: "And, when you're the underdog, a 10-9 lead is never a bad thing to have."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "More movement from Thiebaud as we start the second. She's using the length and the legs very well now, circling, jab stepping, slide stepping, reversing, showing some excellent athleticism along with all that range. Ruah wants to square up and get off in bunches, but not able to do it at the moment."

Tess: "I'm going to say that I'm pretty impressed with Thiebaud as a boxer. She's got the tools to compete at this weight..."

McCarthy: "Except that she's a Q-Tip!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Thiebaud getting quick flurries put together now. She's getting to her spots, getting off quickly, and getting gone before Daniela can line her up. Ruah patient, working her own feet, trying to match some of the movement her opponent is showing. Kelly jab-jab-jabbing, then stopping to pop and getting right back going."

Cassie: "This kind of stuff Thiebaud's doing can be frustrating to deal with..."

McCarthy: "Maybe if you're a SLOTH like Campbell. I never had a problem with girls trying to do this to me, because I was slicker and quicker and beat them at their own game!"

Cassie: "Truck. New headset. Mac's head just swelled and exploded hers again."

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Scabbo!"

O'Dell: "Final seconds ticking off the clock in round two. Thiebaud in rhythm, very comfortable, scoring point with both hands. Ruah working hard, getting some leather on target, but it's mostly one-punch stuff, as she hasn't solved all the length and movement Kelly's throwing at her. Five seconds left, quick flurry, Thiebaud, and there's the bell. Kelly."

Tess: "And, Thiebaud off to the 20-18 lead."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins the way the second ended, with Thiebaud on the move and Ruah looking to line her up. Kelly very slippery, and that added length makes all the movement even more effective, as she's able to touch you up from distance, doesn't have to close the range. And, that's exactly what she's doing now."

Cassie: "We've talked before about how big a hole you get yourself in when you lose the first three rounds. We're about a third of the way into the third, and that's exactly what Daniela's looking at."

O'Dell: "If things keep going the way they are she...RIGHT HAND, RUAH! Daniela rocks Kelly with a straight right! Thiebaud wobbled and Ruah battering her with a flurry of punches that sends her stumbling back into the ropes. Ruah swinging for glory now, bashing punches off Kelly's high guard..."

McCarthy: "Thiebaud had better start countering, or the referee is going to step in!"

O'Dell: "And, Kelly beginning to realize that, firing back in spots now, but Ruah still all over her, looking for the 'off' switch. She's just RIPPING right hands at Kelly, giving her a thorough beating along the ropes. Thiebaud hanging on, however, rolling with, moving the head and shoulders, picking punches off, running clock, and she's going to get out of this round. There's the bell. Ruah wide, but Kelly still in it."

Tess: "29-28 now, but that was a big round for Daniela."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Ruah after Kelly right at the start here, but Thiebaud seems to have the gams in working order. She's recovered quickly and is moving well. That's not slowing down Dani, who's now determined to close, Thiebaud using the jab and feet to create space, score points at range. Ruah working in, banging a little body now for the first time in the fight."

McCarthy: "This is how clueless Weirdo's trainers are. You've got a girl built like a Popsicle stick and you aren't going body on her right from the bell! You can get this girl to the chassis and that's what you should be doing!"

O'Dell: "Good back-and-forth round developing here. Kelly getting the better of things at range, scoring with both hands as Dani closes and cuts, but, when Ruah can bring Thiebaud to battle, it's the heavier weight of shot of the Front Streeter that's carrying the day. Thiebaud a good flurry. She circles left. Ruah closes and DROPS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND! Daniela one-shots Thiebaud to her back!"

Cassie: "I could start singing right now..."

McCarthy: "NO SINGING!"

O'Dell: "Ruah to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. No movement at all from Kelly, who's on her back with her arms spread wide, eyes tightly closed. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! That quickly, this thing is in the books! And, your winner by KO4 in one-punch fashion is 'The Portuguese Princess', Daniela Ruah!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Daniela Ruah, and, Dani, you made quick work of things in that fourth..."

Daniela (smiling and shaking her head): "We knew coming in that she could box. She's got almost as much height as I do and just as much reach, so I wanted to get to her with power."

Tess: "You've been on a bit of a roll since concentrating at light full time..."

Daniela: "And I need to STAY on it. The division here is packed. If I want to get a shot at the lightweight belts..."

Tess: "At Brooklyn?"

Daniela (laughing): "No WAY! Wiz would never allow that, and neither of us would want it, either. But, I'd like my shot at some point, and, if I'm going to get it, I have to keep getting results."
