BEFORE: "Denise van Outen has officially lost her mind!", the new girl in the booth Kate Abdo simply can't understand why the BBU TV lead reporter has decided to make a comeback to the ring against the in-form Christine Bleakley NOW instead of perhaps setting up a rehearsal fight against Rachel Riley for instance. Of course everyone who follows BBU on regular basis knows about the bitter feud between Essex girl van Outen and Northern Ireland's Bleakley who have split a pair of fights dating back to November 2011 and July 2013 but that doesn't explain the timing of Denise's return.

"Well, the answer to that riddle is very simple", Georgie Thompson is quick to point out the van Outen reasoning: "Bleakley just got married before Christmas and we all know what she was doing during her honeymoon. Frank Lampard pretty much screwed her brains out and I think she comes in weak here today with next to nothing gym practice and there's no better time for Denise to wreck her in a reporter fight for the ages! Denise is just a smart woman and even Christine's Boxing Day PPV victory over Alaina Huffman doesn't mean she's in top shape after Frank's recent sexual ordeal (winks)."

Indeed there's no love lost during the Main Event introductions, both women punch each other in the boobs and refuse to touch gloves throwing massive death stares instead. There's just no way the fight goes the distance like last time out according to Kate Abdo and most of the Cardiff Arena audience reckons likewise.

Christine Bleakley wears a Chelsea blue bikini set and white gloves. Long black hair tied in a curled sleek ponytail. Denise van Outen wears a red bikini set with white stripes and white gloves. Shoulder lenght blonde hair straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Both women charge at each other but Christine picks the blonde off in the early going and sticks heavy leather into Denise's face which immediately roots the older reporter to the spot and enables the newlywed WAG to pound her up the middle and send reeling onto the ropes after a while. Denise refuses to yield an inch to the arch nemesis but succumbs to the Irish power and when Bleakley smacks her across the mouth, the guard collapses and van Outen bends to the side with a whimper. Christine barks in delight when she lands a subsequent one-two combo on the nose and keeps the blonde trapped on the ropes for remainder of the round batting away in fury and leaving the Essex veteran covered in deep earmuff amid more painful yelps.

Round 2:
Denise tries to jump the gun on Chrstine's fast approach but misses the hooking combo in close range and gets tagged on the chin instead as the brunette quickly resumes the facial punishment and dumps the blonde on her heels. A quick switch on the guts stuffs van Outen up in the center of the ring before a looping left hook catches her on the temple and sends backing into the ropes. Bleakley leaps in pursuit and slices the high guard before van Outen can firmly plant her feet on the boards - she bounces off the ropes straight into a right hook on the jaw which swivels the blonde's head to the side and Denise just slumps on her knees with more aches while the Irish woman bursts her on the chin with another piercing uppercut... AND DOWN GOES VAN OUTEN... the Essex veteran half-spins to the right before crashing face down on the canvas and she makes a slow recovery to her feet at nine... she looks quite wasted here already with her face reddened plenty but she vows to continue the fight even though Bleakley rips into her chin with another uppercut drive... and Denise can't take the heat as she bounces off the ropes in punchbag dummy mode while the Irish girl keeps roughing her up until the final seconds when a belting hook on the liver SENDS THE EMBATTLED BLONDE ON HER KNEES with a loud shriek of pain... Bleakley struts back to her corner and high-fives coach Mel B. while Denise tries to get up but just slumps down on her heels when the liver pain truly becomes too much to overcome. KO2 Christine Bleakley!!!

AFTER: This result comes as no surprise to Kate Abdo & Georgie Thompson and it's rather obvious that after two years away from the ring van Outen was even lucky to make it as far as round number two. And Christine Bleakley can celebrate downing her long-time nemesis in much better fashion than some of her fans hoped for. She approaches the fallen blonde who remains sitting on her heels and demands some feet worship but van Outen barks in anger and despite all the internal pain springs back to her feet trying to headbutt the Irish woman in the boobs. Both hellcats still have their gloves on so extra boxing drill ensues but it's anyone's for the taking by now and following a brief scuffle Bleakley shoves hers into the blonde's crotch sending her back down on her knees before delivering a kick in the guts to roll Denise horizontal on the spot. The Cardiff Arena security crew has to step in and drag the brunette away before she hurts the Essex woman any further and the crowd still celebrates the show on display while Christine makes some gesture towards Georgie Thompson in the booth before heading back to the locker room.

"What was that all about, Georgie? It looks like Christine wanted to say something?", Kate asks her co-commentator and Georgie explains the rumours about Rachel Riley's potential title quest later this season: "I think both Chris and Denise believe they own the reporter market and well, I still don't know if Holly Willoughby remains active or supervizes the Girls Friday press office alone. If Chris wants to dominate her peers she needs to look at Holly's rack and avoid getting smothered! (laughs). (...) Look, Denise looks heckuva annoyed down there. But she's a big girl. She will handle it! She simply MUST handle it!"
