ESPN FRIDAY NIGHT BOXING

BEFORE: Both these girls came a long way to reach the top to prove the point it's harder to get there than actually to stay there. Irina Shayk's full name is a complete mystery on the Western Hemisphere but if you're looking as good in a bikini as the Russian brunette is, that's irrelevant to the bigger picture. On the other hand Connecticut isn't exactly the place where you'd look for hot babes running around the beach either! But that didn't stop Sports Illustrated from naming Kelly Rohrbach as the Swimsuit Newcomer Of The Year 2015! And that warrants a Kate Upton Syndrome and instant rise to the top of the glamour charts.
So it's no surprise we are handed the glamour showdown tonight and a direct competition to the recent Barbara Palvin/Nina Agdal clash. The big prize at the end of the rainbow? The entry door to the Ice Hotel and a boxing date with Gisele Bundchen - who's turned a lot of heads herself by taking over the frozen throne last year. However it's time to give the new generation a chance at the veterans and both Shayk & Rohrbach - as well as Palvin and Agdal before - want to send Bundchen into a well deserved retirement.
Irina Shayk wears a pink bikini with yellow trim (pictured) and yellow gloves. Light brown hair in loose waves. Kelly Rohrbach wears a navy blue bikini (pictured) and silver gloves. Long blonde hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1: Heavy punchfest is expected from two models on a fast track mission to stardom - and they deliver the good early which might be mildly surprising as far as Kelly's concerned but she shows the Russian enemy no respect whatsoever and jumps into a trigger-happy jabbing series picking Irina off in the center of the ring repeatedly. Shayk was supposed to have a slight edge - with the FCBA debut behind her - but she fails to match the blonde's intensity and bellows out into a hectic defence down the stretch; Kelly keeps drilling the fast tempo assault and smacks the brunette a couple of times on the nose which makes Shayk wince in pain but she responds with only single striking from the back foot and is fortunate enough to avoid getting trapped in the corner late in the going.
Round 2: Kelly's really pumped for dishing out more damage but her head hunting approach becomes too predictable even for Irina's single fight experience and a quick duck & weave display has the blonde wobbling forward as she just can't measure her punches anymore and gets countered over the top instead. More single punching from the brunette but the precision does the trick and smacks Rohrbach repeatedly on the mouth, snapping her head back and stopping the charge in her tracks. Kelly fails to adjust to the counterpunching drill and shows signs of seriou defensive issues however Irina's not brave enough to punish her properly for remainder of the round and settles for landing her single punches instead of just blasting the slow moving blonde with all her Russian might!
Round 3: Irina goes for the tummy and finds early success rooting the aching blonde to the spot but a complete Rohrbach collapse is halted when she whips a cruel uppercut on the jaw and wobbles the brunette to the side. Shayk struggles to find her footing briefly and Kelly rips into her jugs with a flurry of strikes before clipping the chin again and reeling the Russian back to the ropes. Irina's single punch response from the back foot doesn't make the difference anymore as Rohrbach shuts her off via supreme production and a couple of heavy hooks clean the temples out to dump Shayk behind a tight earmuff in the final minute - cue in more head hunting galore from the American who eventually shatters the guard and signs off a dominant round with another uppercut combo to leave Irina gasping in pain at the bell.
Round 4: Irina tries to stick some leather into the blonde's jugs but gets woefully exposed over the top and Kelly begins to leave nasty lumps on the brunette's face which drops her aggression level by the minute. Shayk really struggles under the heavy onslaught and fails to duke it out in style while Rohrbach just keeps ripping those punches on the money and dumps the brunette on soft knees come the two minute mark. A crying yelp signals Irina's trouble and when she bends to the side following a piercing belter on ther liver area, Kelly resumes the uppercut drills and sends the Russian spinning into the ropes with more loud aches. Another cross hook finds the nose and drops Shayk's arms and Kelly just renders her into punchbag mode in the dying seconds smacking her on the face back & forth and almost knocking out while standing! The bell rescues the Russian from imminient demise but she can hardly keep the upright long after the bell and it's a shocker she doesn't quit on her stool.
Round 5: Rohrbach jumps on her prey from the get-go and slams Shayk's mitts aside to connect with the bruised face which turns Irina's lights out just seconds into the fifth, vicious and effective punches stack up against the brunette's otherwise pretty looks and the girl is wrecked without reply. Her eyes bawl out quickly and Kelly finds extra pleasure in the coup de grace shot on the jaw that RAGDOLLS THE RUSSIAN to her knees before a slow roll-to-side moment for the cameras follows! Epic KO5 Kelly Rohrbach!!!
AFTER: That finish was worthy of all the newcomer awards Kelly received back in Sports Illustrated and BLONDE! Magazine thinks the league has found it's new star. Just if having Kate Upton and Brooklyn Decker wasn't enough for your profile already! And who knows, perhaps Kelly will become bestest friends with one blonde reporter from Nashville too?
All frickin' smiles for Kelly who flexes her muscles... chest muscles that is... while standing over the fallen Russian. In fact, nobody seems to care about Irina being removed her from consciousness here as the Big Busty Blonde factor comes to play... The Gena Lee Nolin rebirth, anyone? This result will make news over the weekend and a special chapter in the Boxing World Magazine is not without a fair chance either.
And the girl in question herself? She wants Barbara Palvin next on her route to make Gisele Bundchen suffer... when Kate Upton holds the JMDD title, Brooklyn Decker has just emerged as Front Street's champion lightweight it's only fitting that the Ice Hotel should be ruled by the younger version of Gena Lee Nolin? Ain't that right, cable boy?
Final result: Kelly Rohrbach def. Irina Shayk KO5.
