JOANNA KRUPA VS OLGA KURYLENKO

BEFORE: Joanna Krupa made her FCBA debut all the way back in 2009 when she got blasted out by none other than her tonight's rival Olga Kurylenko and she's targeted a bloody rematch ever since. However her career hasn't really taken off until last year when she even featured in a lineal lightweight title bout and has settled herself as a late bloomer on the American boxing scene.

"She's nothing but a ####ty housewife!', Olga channels the grudge fight scenario and vows to beat the Polish model up even worse than Joanne Kelly in the Canadian battle for supremacy versus Missy Peregrym last year. It's rather obvious the European connection will be explored to the extreme tonight and with several English crossover moves from BBU making the headlines recently, it's time to remind everyone that Olga and Joanna avoided taking the conservative route to their American dream and have competed exclusively in the FCBA despite not getting much revenue in general over the past seasons.

Both women come into this fight fresh off impressive victories, Joanna destroyed Nicola McLean's rack in the JMD(D) Queendom event while Olga wrecked Padma Lakshmi on the Empire Boxing New Year's card.

Round 1:
Olga storms out of her stool and begins to rip punches into the blonde's midsection but fails to embrace a looping response over the top and Joanna scores more success head hunting her opponent to the point the brunette squeals in pain and has to seek a mid distance respite. However the blonde hassles her to the body and enforces the close range brawl again before bumping Olga to the jugs and wobbling her on the heels. Kurylenko refuses to yield the real estate and sends single hand assault from the back foot but succumbs to the chest assault as Joanna smacks her up the middle with a cross hooking route and does just enough to win a tightly contested opener.

Round 2:
Joanna seeks the close range comfort but gets jumped with a flying hook on the temple and wobbles to the side which enables the brunette to rip more punches on the tummy and bend the model into a moaning slump afterwards. Olga finds the uppercuts on the rack to establish control of the action but moves into a head hunting stance to dissect the high guard and send the Polish girl reeling onto the ropes. A burst of speed has Olga keeping her foe in tact and beating her punch-to-punch in the proccess. She lands another crisp hook on the boobs to make Krupa wince in pain in the closing seconds and a late cross hook on the mouth spins the blonde against the turnbuckle for a good measure.

Round 3:
Kurylenko maintains the close range pressure and stuffs her rival up with methodical striking to the body however Krupa responds by working the brunette's boobs over and both women settle into a massive slugfest aimed at nothing but sheer destruction of the opponent. Olga winces a bit louder during the hectic struggle but lands the better share of punches as well and checks the blonde up with a quick double combo on the chin that finally bumps Krupa off to her heels. The follow up catches the Polish model on the temple and sends her reeling onto the ropes where Kurylenko traps her for remainder of the round and continues to dissect the body forcing Joanna into a clinching survival at the bell.

Round 4:
Krupa hangs back on the ropes early and has the brunette chasing her around before Olga skims off the top of her foreahead with a slightly optimistic hook and sinks into a jug muggin' assault instead; Joanna leans forward and channels some old fashioned JMD tactics which shuts the brunette off in the center of the ring before a piercing uppercut tags her on the jaw and sends back on the heels amid a painful groan. And Krupa rips immediate follow up on the breadbasket to drop Olga's guard but the dark haired actress just can't find her feet anymore and allows Joanna to pound her butt-in-ropes down the stretch. A series of cross hooks shatters the high guard and connects with both cheeks and as Olga's chin slumps between her shoulders, Krupa belts her on the liver and leaves gasping for air at the bell to leave the bout even at the end of four.

Round 5:
Olga's upset she lost her momentum in the previous round but her stalking approach keeps misfiring badly in the opening minute and once she wobbles too far forward, the blonde nails her with a counter hook from the left and finds the nostrils bursting into a seeping disaster... Olga stumbles to the side and gurgles in discomfort but she just doesn't have the time to react to the model's leather rush and gets the Polish mitts stuffed into her mouth moments later... A furious facial bash has Joanna screaming out in delight and Kurylenko going all belly up in no time... a brutal hook on the jaw half-spins the brunette with eyes closed and a right hander on the solar plexus JACK-KNIFES her to her knees before a slo-motion collapse face down... Joanna leaps in the air and makes the throat slit gesture to the Empire corner and Olga remains down spread eagle triggering the spasms of defeat... KO5 Joanna Krupa!!!

AFTER: That was mighty impressive finish from the Polish model who upset a lot of odds with such a confident revenge triumph over the fellow European vixen. Krupa has improved a lot since her 2009 debut and threatens to remain in the contender picture for a while yet! Her imminient plans remain a mystery however the word from the other side of the Atlantic is that she will make a guest appearance in the BBU next month.

On the other hand Olga's durability begins to wear out and she's seemingly unable to shake off a steady aggression aimed at her on a repeated basis. Beating Padma Lakshmi briefly stopped the slide down the pecking order but such a terrible collapse against a woman she once thoroughly beat up signalls a tough future ahead. Even the Empire Boxing help might not be good enough to prevent the former Bond girl from a permanent departure from the gatekeeper status.
