Gemma Atkinson (Beevers Babes) v Kristanna Loken ( Fighing Academy )

Gemma lost her welterweight title fight against champion Amanda Righetti last time out, but boy, did she give her a fight!   Now the 31 year old Brit has been challenged by the rangy 36 year old Kristanna, who is without a win since 2013.
 
Kristanna enters the ring first, wearing a silver bikini, with red gloves and boots, quickly joined by busty Gemma in her yellow bikini, with yellow gloves and white boots.

Round 1
 
The girls are at it straight away, and Kristanna surprises Gemma, giving her a slick jab and cross combination in the opening minute, Gemma backing off, finding her opponent’s reach a problem at this early stage, and she gets caught with the older girl’s right hook over the top of her own guard, lands a jab of her own, but gets tagged again, and clinches.  Gemma’s a powerful girl, but once the referee has her and Kristanna parted, she can’t use that power, because the older girl is constantly out of range, swinging her own punches in and at Gemma’s face, not big hits, but they’re roughing her face up, and the Brit’s taking a bit of a lesson in the opening round, seemingly unprepared for her opponent’s extra reach, gets tagged again, then lands a lovely left hook of her own on Kristanna’s jaw, staggers the older girl, but time prevents her from landing again, the American hurt, though, and she trips a little on her way to her corner.
 
Round 2
 
Gemma’s building her confidence back up, and she has Kristanna where she wants her as the round starts, set back against the turnbuckle in a neutral corner, Gemma inside her opponent’s guard, thudding heavy shots into her face, Kristanna retaliating with a good body shot, but a left hook to her mouth certainly has her struggling, the taller girl now taking her turn to clinch, and not too tightly either, Gemma able to land to her body inside, giving her a hard time, Kristanna responding after the referee has become involved by parting the girls, hooking Gemma to the head, but the Brit thuds back, lifting her head up with a left uppercut, then tucking into her body, Kristanna showing resilience, not taking a step back as the well built Gemma hits her again, and she’s certainly emerging with some credit at this stage, even if she lost the round.
 
Round 3
 
Gemma’s got Kristanna on the run in the opening seconds of the round, nails her with a jab, swings in a hook, and connects, Kristanna on wobbly legs, going backwards, Gemma ploughing forwards, landing to the taller girl’s body, and now they trade, Kristanna having very little room to work with, but she gets home with a chopping overarm left which smacks into Gemma’s eye – and she’s cut the Brit!  There’s plenty of blood on Gemma’s face after that shot, and Kristanna hammers her now, turned her around and she’s got Gemma pinned in her own corner at this stage, and there’s blood and snot flying around as she gives Gemma a real beating, the 36 year old looking to cause a major upset here with a quick win over the English babe, who can’t see much out of her right eye, and she manages to get out of trouble in the closing seconds, landing her own punches on Kristanna, but the referee may need to put a stop to this fight soon.
 
Round 4
 
Gemma’s eyebrow has been badly cut, but she can still see now that the blood has been wiped away, although it can’t be pleasant for her as Kristanna lines her up with her left hook, lands one, and another, the blood starting to flow again, but Gemma hits her back, a solid right hander to the jaw which staggers the American, and now a clubbing left hook, and that’s floored her!  Poor Kristanna!  She gets up at 8, but her legs are rubber, and Gemma storms in at her, drilling her backwards with heavy punches, the older girl unable to keep them away, as she gets frozen to the spot on the ropes, Gemma hammering her, and she puts her down again, the left hook again the last punch to land, and although Kristanna tries to stir and rise, she’s counted out on her back.
 
Result:  Gemma Atkinson knocked out Kristanna Loken in round 4.
 
Kristina gave Gemma some problems tonight, but in the end her power prevailed, and she kindly checks on the girl on her stool before leaving the ring.
