BEFORE: Kimberley Walsh's bandmate Nicola Roberts was brutalized by Kaya Scodelario during last month's Bantamweight Pride PPV in Dublin which prompted immiediate response from the Bradford blonde who - aside from enforcing some Girls Aloud revenge plan - looks to hand the dark-haired actress her maiden BBU loss. However Kaya's prospects look extremely high right now, she's in talks to make her FCBA debut later this year and has earned the attention of blockbuster names like Ashley Benson and Nina Dobrev in recent weeks already. This being said, Kimba rides a career-best five-fight winning streak and spoiling Kaya's perfect record is something she can brag about for months to come regardless.
Kimberley Walsh wears a yellow basque top, black hotpants and yellow gloves. Blonde hair in loose waves. Kaya Scodelario wears a green bikini set and white gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.
Round 1: Walsh wants to make sure that the brunette doesn't underestimate her tonight and rips into Scodelario's body from the opening bell and almost headbutts her in the proccess leaning forward so much she inadvertly bumps her opponent on her heels to gain early advantage. Kaya is slow to react to the singer's furious approach and soaks up heavy onslaught to the body while struggling to respond over the top. Kimba keeps charging thereafter like the fight is scheduled for six rounds at best and scores more punches to the breadbasket shutting the hot prospect completely off until the bell.
Round 2: Kaya almost conceded that opening round without any offensive fightback but perhaps she simply tries to let Kimberley wear herself out as another quick pounce from the singer catches the brunette cold and some early bruises begin to appear on Scodelario's toned midriff. She then finally clinches the feisty blonde but loses the battle of strenght and allows Walsh to push her away towards the ropes where Kimba slams a left/right combo on the mouth and finally earns the brunette's attention. Kaya shows some nifty footwork to escape away from a looming barrage and ducks further pursuit however she's unable to land that big punch to clearly halt Kimberley's charge.
Round 3: Both girls tangle in the center of the ring and finally Scodelario finds the better punch and beats the singer for a looping hook on the temple before stacking up an uppercut combo on the breasts. Kimba wobbles forward and loses her pouncing gear which in turn enables Kaya to whip more leather up the middle and snap the singer's head backwards. Walsh refuses to yield the real estate though and wants to respond from the back foot however Kaya thumps her on the nose with a left-handed straight jab and swings from the right on the follow up, catching the blonde on the temple and spinning her to the side. Walsh loses her footing and sags on the ropes but she can't raise her gloves in time to cover up for a massive right hook on the lips that slumps her on the spot and has Scodelario mauling her rack with a flurry of uppercuts at the bell.
Round 4: Walsh is visibly annoyed over that previous round and jumps into another leather frenzy but fails to match the brunette's agility and cuts thin air before getting hammered over the top in a feisty response. Kaya settles into the counterpunching drill and takes command over her immobile foe who struggles to adjust to the bunny hopping and keeps misfiring even in close range. Scodelario then steps back and loops more punishing leather onto the temples and as Kimberley's head begins to snap backwards, she just slumps further down on her knees and executes zero response come the final minute. Kaya thumps the cumbersome singer on the nose one last time before the bell and giggles in delight when Walsh stumbles to the side and almost go down on her backside but for the ref to get in the way and actually grab the blonde just as the clock expires.
Round 5: Kaya moves onto the front leg and begins looping steady facial assault which pierces the singer's guard all too often for Denise van Outen's liking. Kimberley needs to catch her breath back but the brunette's fitness is clearly superior and she enjoys staggering the blonde and ripping more strikes up the middle to even hoof the breasts aside. Kimba wants to clinch the actress to tame the methodical onslaught but she only slips forward and eats a quick uppercut on the jaw for her efforts - thing get even worse in the dying seconds when Scodelario jumps with more uppercuts on the jaw and shatters the cumbersome guard with Walsh scowling in pain at the bell and sagging on her ropes in clear disarray. Kaya gives her a long look of disapproval and waves back to the Tokyo audience while the blonde spits out her mouthguard in frustration but she's fallen behind on points at half-distance for granted.
Round 6: Walsh wants to push forward to enforce that Girls Aloud revenge but Scodelario is simply too quick for her and when another hook goes wayward, the brunette's response blasts the singer on the nose and whips her to the side with a loud whimper. Kaya harpoons her on the exposed liver area and sticks another uppercut on the rack which proves too much for the blonde to handle... WALSH GOES DOWN ON HER KNEES and hugs her aching guts on the spot while desperately trying to find the air in her lungs... Kaya stands over her for a second and tells her to "stay down" but the brief delay to start the count enables the hurting singer to rise back to her feet at eight... however she looks quite subdued already and becomes stranded in the center of the ring again when the fight resumes in the final seconds of the round... Kaya picks her off at will and tears the skin under the left eye to send Kimberley butt-in-ropes and when she rips more harpoons to the tummy, the singer looks all but done here and even the bell won't save her from the ineviteable demise according to Tom Hilton in the BBU TV booth.
Round 7: Kimberley doesn't have anything left in the tank and Kaya squares up to her looking for a quick finish now; she easily hoofs her high guard aside and thumps a one-two uppercut combo on the nose which slumps the blonde perfectly into a hooking coup de grace on the left temble... WALSH GOES DOWN ON HER SIDE and remains motionless with her eyes closed during the count... KO7 Kaya Scodelario in another Girls Aloud nightmare fashion!!!
AFTER: "Well, at this stage Sarah Harding will have to cut some weight to finally salvage the band's pride because Kaya is just tearing 'em apart here!", Tom Hilton is very impressed with the brunette's showing who followed up on the Nicola Roberts drubbing by equally ruthless destruction of a peak Kimberley Walsh. That five fight winning streak comes to an end in the most painful fashion as the blonde remains down on the canvas for almost two full minutes before the medical staff simply stretches her off to the locker room.
"It's a shame Sarah isn't here in Tokyo but I guess she hasn't recovered from her latest defeat either!", Kaya channels the BBU TV predictions but refuses to admit whether that's her last fight on this side of the pond - if actually under the Tokyo sun - in the foreseeable future. "Right now I'm more interested in what Nina Dobrev has to say about that Walsh beatdown!", the brunette is beaming here in the ring and well, perhaps the prospects of a BBU bantamweight title will postpone her American foray but even Denise van Outen doesn't believe we're gonna see that happen before the summer since other weight divisions - light and welter in particular - require mandatory action first.
"I realize Una Healy, Reon Kadena, Doda, Clara Morgane and all those Girls Aloud are making the most noise around BBU in the past couple of months but nobody's gonna roll the red carpet so Kaya can ride off to FCBA with the divisional straps around her waist. It's not THAT easy no matter how impressive she was in her last three fights!", Denise van Outen takes a dig at Scodelario's rising stock and admits to Tom off the air that she prefers Healy to stick around and finally spoil the brunette's perfect record the most.
Final result: Kaya Scodelario def. Kimberley Walsh KO7.
