Before: Mish back in the big dance, but how times have changed - Salma a big favourite at most books as Mexican's the new division 800 pound gorilla. During R1: Salma out behind a spitting, spanking stick - first minute just about taming Mish, ruining her rushes, pre-empting her punches as Hayek takes over midring. Second minute - Salma stepping in, bending over her front foot - she's getting under Michelle's right hands, then straightening to slip blonde hook. Couple of those moves to get the timing, then Salma starts bringing her power - bending and beating Mish to the right hand - William's looping haymakers sailing or dying stillborn on her shoulder as Hayek cracks home. Salma finishing up with that Mexican hook to the liver, shaking Mish under the elbow. Final minute - Mish not punching back any more, backing up, hands at her cheeks - Salma coming forward with combinations up top, finishing the hook thick in Williams' waist. Mish smiling, nodding at the bell, but Salma looking like the most dominant champ in boxing, shutting Mish out bell to bell.

R2: Brilliant defense from Salma in the first minute as Mish goes all out to land sweeping, looping lefts and rights. Hayek so calm as she bends in low under rights, leans away from hooks, pivots left - just imposing order on the situation with her feet and superior positioning. Jabs start to spot up on Mish' face, rattling her and by the second minute - Hayek's the boss. Salma banging away with rights to the face, mopping up body the hook, backing Williams up - Mish grimacing, trying hard, but slowly getting dismantled by hard, accurate combinations. Down the stretch, girls punch with each other - Salma hooking body, Mish hooking head - Williams puts the right hand on top and gets loud pop off Hayek's jaw. Salma steps out and THERE GO HER LEGS! Both girls momentarily stunned - but Mish pounces when she sees the delayed effect! Running right hand caroms off Salma's forehead - sends her stomping back on her heels and DOWN ON HER BUTT AT THE ROPES! Salma wide eyed, stupified - she clambers to her feet all a-tremble. Williams wiping her mouth on her forearm, stomping in after 8, feinting when she's close, then shoulder cycling the jab, loading up weight on the back foot and CRASHING HOME THE RIGHT! Salma's reflexes shot - she sees the punch but can't get out of the way - bonecrushing blow swivels brunette head and drops her in a spasmodic heap at the ropes. Mish looming over top for a moment, then bouncing away to let the ref count and it's OVER! Good Lord - KO2 Mish Williams as Hayek's counted out on her back!

After: Pandemonium in Williams' corner, wild jumping celebration tinged with some tension as Mish wants to walk her vanquished quarry but Syren won't let her pass - Salma's just too classy a name to be treated that way. TE headmistress understands impetuous blonde's glee, but puts foot down. Williams breaking out the big eraser to put a dramatic end to what was beginning to look like a Mexican white wash - Hayek in total control, handling Mish, breaking her down when suddenly: titles change hands. "I'M BACK!" Mish yells from the corner ropes, thumping her chest, and rightly so.
