Before: Tuff talk in prefight - hard nosed girls going to work on one another's minds as visions of marathon punching performances dance in pundits' heads. "Whoever backs up loses," predicts Mish. "It's as simple as that. I know what to expect from Geri. Geri knows what to expect from me and it's just going to be thunder from the get-go. If Halliwell wants to take it for 10, this will be a sensational, fight of the year type contest, but I just don't see a spice girl taking me the route. I'm not going to call a round, but Geri's leaving this thing on her back." Halliwell non-plussed, unimpressed despite her opponent's credentials at 110. "Michelle won't be punching against Rachel Stevens," sneers the Brit. "She's up against GERI HALLIWELL and I expect a smashing victory. Michelle likes to think of herself as gritty and determined, and much of the press in the States has bought into this hype, but I smell the distinctive odor of punk in the air whenever Williams' name is mentioned. You check the record: girls who stand up to Mish, break her. I expect her to fight hard for as long as she can, but at some point, this fight WILL become a beating." Geri in black boat neck sport/dance top, bare midriff, black bikini bottoms - Mish in zebra print bikini, tie side bottoms, twist-tie halter top.

During R1: Geri stomping to midring, moving her hands chest-high to eyebrow level and back, stepping and batting hooks. Mish showing surprising guile - feinting in, stepping away, dipping low, side to side, coming up underneath Halliwell punches to ring up British ribcage with shocking leather. Geri looking muscular, fit - getting off with sizzling power, but she's just not landing - Mish giving her head movement, changing distance, and attacking that hard body with both hands - placing shots with uncharacteristic accuracy and timing. Halliwell drawing in her elbows late, puffing out breath - she stops punching as Mish grins, steps lively to the right.

R2: THERE'S the hammer and tongs everyone was expecting! Geri picks Mish up a clipping right uppercut, reloads and digs right to midriff, nudges her the extended left elbow chicken wing and licks her another right uppy on the chin. Mish soaks it up, roars right back: clubbing right on the cheek, roping hook across the abs, hook across the abs, then a spirited 3 punch romp to jug - right/left/right. Halliwell gives a step with a grunt, then butts her shoulder hard to Mish-mouth, backs Mish up a step, hooks her ribs, picks her chin up the left uppercut. Trade in hooks. Trade in clubbing rights - back and forth, vicious spanking connects as the crowd roars to it's feet. Midway point, savage free-for-all sees Geri with her back to the ropes, teeth bared, getting hammered, trying to brawl back - Williams in a punching groove, beating Halliwell to blows. Looping overhand right detonates off Geri's face, buckling her knees, ruining her own right hand. Mish back with a hungry left uppercut on the chin, getting gorgeous head swivel out of Halliwell. Brit stung, looking to clinch - Mish gets low, drives up and in, stacking Halliwell up against the ropes, butting her in the teeth - Williams brushing aside Geri's arms and SWARMING to the body! Lusty barrage of rights and lefts thump up into English ribs - Halliwell going limp, sinks to her knees, trembling on all fours as Mish is bodied back. Halliwell dreamily up at 8, so woozy, so helpless and ON COMES MISH! Williams steaming into shellshocked Halliwell, BOMBING away looping overhand rights, cleaning up with tight left uppercuts - Geri's getting SHELLACKED! Mish with a rugged tousle-scrub, then going gut with shoulders pumping, working her way up into the thick of Geri's breasts as the blonde sags forward. Mish plugging away, feeling it now, spending up her last reserves and HALLIWELL GOES DOWN! Geri drooping, drooping, getting pounded out tits and tummy, finally slumping to her face as Williams steps back and it's OVER! Sensational slugging KO2 Mish Williams!

After: TE wanted a big win - they got it in spades as Halliwell is pounded into a long, devastating slumber. Portman life and death with Geri - TE using the comparison to elevate Mish - BSE reps claiming Natalie did the real damage, Mish just feasted on dregs. "You have to hand it to the Brits," says Mish in post fight, "they know what's coming and they charge right in. I toyed with her in the first - just to let her know that I could take her apart if I wanted, then I gunned her in the second - you know, just as a change up - and she went OUT! I was just getting started! I thought, 'there, I've hurt her' when she went down - I was going to pile on, really bust her up for the break, and then she just collapsed! I'd better send around a dish of my special Mishy Peas - it's about the only thing this chick'll be able to eat for a week!"
