BEFORE: Collien Fernandes made her BBU debut last month but got wrecked by Danielle Lineker however Fearne Cotton hasn't impressed in her last fight either, losing to the revamped Nadine Coyle back in June 2015. It's rather obvious both these girls need a victory, Fearne perhaps even more than her German counterpart, and since they earn their money as TV reporters, BBU TV's Denise van Outen hopes to see a good fight here to prove those TV personalities can deliver the goods in the unforgiving world of female celebrity boxing. Still, she views Fearne as the slight favorite but the local support kinda overwhelms the Fight Club UK blonde who probably didn't expect such a strong support for the Black Eagles inaugural card.

Round 1:
Collien wants to stamp her authority on this fight as quickly as possible and buries the blonde under a jabbing barrage but Fearne's guard withstands the pressure and blocks off the brunette's efforts before a looping hook on the temple reels the local favorite back and triggers Cotton's pursuit instead. The English lass realizes that Collien's at the start of her career and hardly a creampuff operator so she follows Katie Price's tactics and settles into aggressive punching but just like her opponent before, she just can't dwarf the solid guard and both girls soon apply the clinching respite, being unable to score that breakthrough drive in the opening round.
Round 2:
More trigger-happy punching without significant success from either woman; Collien shows superior intensity and briefly wobbles the blonde on her heels but gets clinched and wrestled away in a hectic battle for real estate. Fearne swings a couple of menacing hooks thereafter but misfires badly down the stretch - Fernandes fails to make her pay though and both women circle back into safety come the final minute which suggests this fight can linger on for a while.
Round 3:
The Laxness Arena support fuels Collien's efforts early in the third and she whacks the blonde up the middle finally connecting with the cheeks before blasting her across the mouth with a nasty cross hook. Fearne wobbles on her heels again and shows significant flaws in her defence as the brunette pounds away in close range and smacks her with an uppercut drive before just coming short of a haymaker follow up. Cotton seeks respite in mid distance but allows the German to walk her down to the corner and bellows out into a tight earmuff in the final seconds when Fernandes jumps into a jabbing frenzy to run away with the round.
Round 4:
Collien gets more aggressive and stuffs the English lass in the middle of the ring with some accurate jabbing over the top; she clubs Fearne on the nose a couple of times and belts her across the midsection which wobbles the blonde on her heels and sends her into more defensive circles down the stretch. The German pursuit slices the high guard and enables Fernandes to pound the fellow TV reporter into the ropes where Collien ignores the earmuff cover and pummels the exposed ribcage to the point Cotton simply yelps out in pain and sinks on her knees showing no signs of imminient comeback.
Round 5:
Katie Price tries to urge the blonde to stop the German rout but a quick tangle in the center of the ring has Fernandes on top regardless and Cotton's face begins to swell badly around the eyes when her head is snapped around under heavy aerial attack. Collien doesn't have the biggest punch but the sheer ammount of her efforts dwarfs Fearne's resistance and backs her into the ropes one more time. Another desperate earmuff brings the English woman no respite whatsoever as the brunette reverts into cleaning out her breadbasket and Fearne slumps on her knees at the bell looking all lost at sea here as the Laxness Arena smells a looming victory for their favorite.
Round 6:
Gina Wild orders Fernandes to finish the struggling blonde off right now but the brunette eats a mouthful of leather seconds into the sixth with Fearne jumping in a last chance salloon and just letting it rip against the odds. She nails Collien on the lips and adds a piercing hook on the eye which spins the German to the side and enables the blonde to deliver a series of uppercuts on the rack. Fernandes gets stuck on her heels and tries to clinch herself out of the striking range but eats more jabs up the middle and when Cotton smacks her on the jaw with a brutal uppercut, she trembles back to the ropes with eyes closed and fails to buckle up for a cross hooking follow up... AND FEARNE SLAMS HER ON THE NOSE with a heavy left hook... Collien shrieks out in pain and wobbles forward straight into another uppercut on the jaw THAT PUTS HER DOWN ON THE SPOT to silence the Cologne audience... Epic drama for the Black Eagles and coach Gina Wild can't believe what just happened here... the bell saves the brunette from instant defeat but she's clearly dazed by that wicked double combo and fails to shake it off during the interval...
Round 7:
Cotton hammers in on the face and renders Fernandes into a standstill seconds into the seventh... a flurry of jabs shatters the guard and keeps roughing the German up... Katie Price leads the FCUK comeback in the corner but Fearne is the one tearing it up... and she thumps Collien's face into a swollen mess... the local favorite is battered into stupor and she was never at the races since that knockdown in the previous round anyway... she succumbs to the English barrage AND SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES before ending up spread eagle at the blonde's feet moments later... KO7 Fearne Cotton!!!
AFTER: Classic come-from-behind victory for the English reporter who sags on the ropes and shakes her head in disbelief... nobody saw her winning this fight at half-distance when Collien build a substantial lead on the cards and was all set to knock Fearne out to the orbit... but a last-ditch offensive charge spoiled the German plans and tore Fernandes apart in less than six minutes that followed... Denise van Outen thinks that's down to the brunette's inexperience and she has some skills in her to apply for the contender status but as of now, that's the second defeat in a row and the sight isn't pretty at all... Collien remains down on her face for a while as the Cologne audience offers the victorious blonde a half-hearted credit for a very important success.. Cotton's career was heading towards the exit door lately but she should find more work in the foreseeable future based on tonight's upset glory.
Final result: Fearne Cotton def. Collien Fernandes KO7.
