THREE BLONDES & THREE BRUNETTES VS THREE BLONDES & THREE BRUNETTES AT THE ASYLUM

BEFORE:

"I've been looking forward to another chance in the FCBA," says a hard-eyed Rose. "Obviously, the assignment tonight, a champion like Allison Mack, will not be easy. But, that will make it all the sweeter when I win this thing and prove everyone wrong."

"This girl has tools," says Allison with a nod. "She just hasn't had a lot of opportunities. She's not coming out here to lose tonight. But. She's going to."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Paranoid Android' you hear, meaning that one of the world's biggest Radiohead fans, Rose Byrne of Foxfire Atlantic, is on her way to the ring."

McCarthy: "I ought to just record this on my iPhone and play it back every fight. Typical. Dancing. Hooker. Opponent. No. FCBA. Wins."

Tess: "To be fair, she's only had three FCBA fights, Rambin, Pieterse, and Pink, and none of those are exactly tomato cans."

McCarthy: "TWO of them are Dancing Hookers...though, if I recall correctly, Byrne fought Rambin BEFORE she joined Front Street...meaning in her pre-Hooker days..."

O'Dell (sighing): "Byrne into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a red number and a toned body..."

McCarthy: "UNbeLIEVable!"

Cassie: "Now, HERE'S something she could record on the iPhone..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

Tess: "And, before Mac begins ranting about how her song was stolen, allow me to point out, for the hundredth time, that Wiz BOUGHT the rights to the song..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, as, of course, Allison..."

McCarthy: "DON'T..."

O'Dell: "...'Mack The Knife' Mack comes to the ring to the strains of Bobby Darin's 'Mack The Knife'. Allison wearing that black robe with the gleaming silver knife on the back, a single drop of blood dripping from its tip. She's into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that familiar blood red bikini..."

McCarthy: "And a body only a mother could love. Not MY mother. But, SOME mothers..."

O'Dell (sighing): "Ladies about ready and it's time for some picks. Tess favors Allison. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Even a loser like Byrne can beat a supermegaloser like Mack..."

Cassie: "YOU couldn't...."

McCarthy: "I'D BEEN FIGHTING ALL NIGHT AGAINST AN ALL-STAR TEAM!"

Cassie: "And, what about the second time?"

McCarthy: "SHE...YOU...I...SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell: "We're going for the record. Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess..."

O'Dell: "And, thankfully, there's the bell. Mack immediately working forward in that quarter crouch. Rose not going to give ground. Byrne, as we've seen before, a very sturdy bantam, over 5'6" and the full 120 at the weigh in. She likes to hold ground and bang, and that's exactly what she's doing here."

Tess: "Might see quite a bit of action tonight, because both of these fighters are usually offensive minded."

O'Dell: "Right now, we're seeing some body work, some hard shots being exchanged, but not a high work rate. Not a surprise, as both fighters are doing some recon in the first, moving the feet, head, and hands, probing for openings, trying to get the ranges and angles down. Mack concentrating downstairs a bit more than Byrne at the moment..."

Cassie: "No surprise there, either, because Allison likes to work body."

O'Dell: "Especially early, when the investment can pay off later. Might take a lot of investing with a girl like Byrne, though. Coming down the stretch in a pretty tactical first. Rose tying Allison up. Mack shoving off, working some body. Rose responds with a good right hand and there's the bell. Close to Byrne."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins on the same terms. Fighters meeting in the middle of the ring and going to work. Mack rapping those ribs, banging the mid-section. Doubling down on the body work now. Rose responding in kind and Mack going upstairs with a hard right hand that backs Byrne up a step."

Tess: "Nice uppercut. That's a dangerous punch for Mack, but the real knockout blow is that rising hook..."

Cassie: "Isn't that right, Mac..."

McCarthy: "She...you...SHE GOT LUCKY!"

Cassie: "Twice. With the same punch."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell (sighing): "I'm sure someone's counting at home. Is that a record? Anyway, back in the ring, Mack getting rolling here with the body work. Allison beginning to take control of the fight, forcing Rose to drop guard and then punishing her to the head. This is excellent up and down boxing..."

McCarthy: "She's hitting BELOW THE BELT and that referee is BOUGHT AND PAID FOR!"

O'Dell: "Final 30 seconds of the second. Mack backing Byrn up over and over again now, in a good rhythm. Rose can't get much going. Ten seconds left. One more good right uppie from Mack and there's the bell. No question about the second. It's Allison solid."

Tess: "And we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins with Mack turning up the heat. She's all over Rose, upstairs and down. Byrne backing up, covering up, being forced to the counter and THERE'S A BIG RIGHT FROM ROSE THAT WOBBLED MACK! Rose lands a nasty counter right on the button and Mack is definitely hurt!"

McCarthy: "YES! What a great punch!"

O'Dell: "Rose quickly to the offensive now. She's not going all in, but she's definitely after Allison. She's backing the blonde up with solid left jabs followed by hard right hands. She's slowly working Mack back toward the ropes, giving her a pretty sound thrashing, looking to land the finisher before this one is out."

Cassie: "Mack plenty crafty on defense, but Rose getting an awful lot of work done, Jenny."

O'Dell: "She finally gets Mack pinned to the cables with about twenty seconds to run here in the third. Byrne committing on everything, banging away hard shots now, really getting off with both hands. Mack in the high guard, jabbing back in spots, going to run the clock out. There's the bell. Rose wide."

Tess: "And back in the lead 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Byrne right back after Mack. Allison still doesn't have the legs under her and Byrne knows it. Rose backing Mack up with shot after shot here. Got the blonde's attention with a hard right hand that snapped the head back. Allison in retreat, willing to trade space for time here as Rose looks to consolidate."

McCarthy: "Byrne should be even more aggressive. She wants to finish this right now. Don't let these hometown judges get this thing!"

O'Dell: "The brunette definitely looking to finish, but she's well aware of how dangerous Mack can be. She's not getting sloppy, instead just working Mack over with good, sound stuff, setting up the rights with hard left hands. Again, able to get Mack to the cables late, this time with about thirty ticks left."

Tess: "Mack back to that high, tight guard, again slick on the defense."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it, but Rose rolling up the points and laying down a beating despite those efforts. Byrne really working Mack over now, and, again, she ups the work rate in the final seconds, buzzing away with both hands looking for the 'off' switch. Again, she's not going to find it. Bell. Byrne wide again."

Cassie: "And, she's increased the lead to 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Brunette looking to take the fight to the blonde again here in the fifth. Byrne has turned this thing around with a couple of big shots in the third and she's now in control of things. Mack beginning to stabilize the front some, but she's still giving some ground. Byrne getting off some good shots here..."

Cassie: "AND MACK HURT HER WITH THAT RIGHT UPPIE!"

O'Dell: "Yes, she did!. Allison a quick hook to the body and then that right uppercut as Rose began to crouch and now Byrne is hurt! Mack a buzz saw now. She's hammering away with both hands, driving the brunette immediately to the ropes and forcing her to cover up. High guard from Rose and Mack goes body in a BIG way..."

Tess: "That's like chum to a shark, leaving the body that open in front of Allison Mack."

O'Dell: "And, the blonde is just POUNDING away at ribs, midsection, flanks, every part of the body between the bust line and the belt. Byrne crouching, trying to take some of that away and Mack hammering hooks off the tight guard. Ten seconds to go in the fifth. Good uppercut, Mack, and there's the bell. Allison wide."

McCarthy: "But, Byrne is still ahead 48-47."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth begins with serious pressure from Mack. She's got Byrne in some trouble here and she's working to take advantage. Rose holding ground, though, banging back and GETTING STAGGERED! Straight right from Mack wobbles Byrne and Allison now all in, hammering away with both hands..."

Cassie: "This is not the position you want to be in against a fighter like Mack. She's a closer."

McCarthy: "She's so overrated she's almost underrated..."

O'Dell: "And, rather than try to make sense of that, let's concentrate on the ring, where Mack again has Rose on the ropes. Again, Byrne trying to hang on here, has the guard high and tight, giving Mack body and Allison again taking. She's pinking up the ribs and midsection, but not ignoring the head."

Tess: "Give Byrne some credit here, though. She's taken quite a lot of fire these last couple of rounds and she's still standing."

O'Dell: "No question about that. Mack definitely looking to finish, and Rose hanging on, running clock, doing enough to keep the referee at bay. Mack clinical. Working Byrne over. Breaking her down. Twenty seconds left in the round. Good right hand from Mack. Rose ties her up. Mack punches free and there's the bell. Allison wide again."

McCarthy: "But, she didn't finish and the cards are even at 57."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Into the seventh with Mack stalking. Byrne giving a little ground here. Legs looking a bit iffy. She's snapping out jabs, trying to get space, but Mack wants to close and bang and DOWN GOES BYRNE! There's that elevating hook, caught Byrne on the cheek and Rose dropped to her right side..."

Cassie: "Mack just gets her whole body behind that thing..."

O'Dell: "Allison to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Rose rolls to her belly. Six. Hands and knees at seven. Eight. Rose pushing to her feet and she beats it. Referee going to issue the mandatory here and waive Mack forward and ON COMES ALLISON. Knife looking to end this right now and DOWN GOES BYRNE AGAIN!"

Tess: "Wow. That hook is something..."

O'Dell: "Rose again dropped to her right side by the hook. Mack immediately to a neutral corner. Byrne rolls to her back. Count at three. Four. Five..."

Cassie: "Not going to happen."

O'Dell: "Six. Seven. Byrne showing no signs of rising. Eight. Nine. TEN! It's over! And your winner by KO7 is Allison 'Mack The Knife' Mack!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Allison Mack, and Allison, tough one in there. A lot of power punches flying around..."

Allison: "She's strong and tough and she can hit. You're not going to go in there and blow her doors off. You're going to have to work hard to get her, but, I like those kinds of fights."

Tess: "I know you're looking for another shot at those belts this year..."

Allison: "No question. That's the goal. Keep winning and hope the shot comes. And, that's what I'm going to do."
