BBU: FOXFIRE ATLANTIC BOXING VS BLACK EAGLE BOXING STABLE WAR - MAIN EVENT
Posted by Vassago on April 4, 2016, 10:16 am
BEFORE: This is the Main Event of the Foxfire Atlantic vs Black Eagle Boxing stable war which is tied at two all heading into the lightweight cliffhanger. Ann-Kathrin Brommel is regarded as the future of the Cologne-based stable and natural heir to Indira Weis but she was blown away by Krystal Forscutt on the inaugural card last month which questioned Gina Wild's choice of opponents not for the first time. Now she faces another experienced fighter in Laury Thilleman who remains in Malika Menard's shadows but is more than ready to expose the German model tonight.
Thilleman fought twice this year already and lost to both Yasmin Verheijen and Jessica Michibata however if Brommel fails to chase the Forscutt demons away, she will endure another rough ride to really put a massive hole into her otherwise elite prospects. Gina Wild is confident the youngest member of the Eagles will finally make the experts eat some crow but Laury's visibly pumped up for success as if the Easter Sunday PPV loss to Michibata didn't happen last weekend at all. This is a fascinating battle and Denise van Outen - unlike her co-reporting friend Tom Hilton - is willing to give Brommel the benefit of the doubt.
Laury Thilleman wears a navy blue bikini with white trim and red gloves. Long dark blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Ann-Kathrin Brommel wears a black bikini top, red knickers and golden gloves. Long dark blonde hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1: The local girl looks make an early impression on the fellow blonde but she gets blocked off in close range and has to avoid a looping response over the top afterwards. Laury's not exactly a speed demon across the canvas and she settles into a methodical attack rather than blast through the German's guard straight away which gives Brommel enough time to find her rhythm and mount another comeback come the final minute. However Thilleman's guard withstands the hectic jabbing efforts before a piercing hook nails the German on the nose and reels her back to the ropes just as the clock expires.
Round 2: More stubborn defence prevents Ann-Kathrin from enforcing her jabbing plans and as she bounces off the French girl's guard, she becomes too exposed up the middle and gets whacked on the jaw a couple of times. It's almost like Brommel pauses briefly after her each combo attempt and Thilleman uses the superior experience into her advantage to slowly but surely back the model into the ropes. It takes Laury some time before she can finally slam a piercing hook into the liver area that really sinks Brommel on her knees however the alleged core strenght difference begins to tell when the younger blonde moans in a clinching struggle when she's unable to fight back and prevent the French pageant from walking her down towards the turnbuckle.
Round 3: This isn't a great display of Brommel's skill set thus far, those Forscutt demons clearly linger on her mind according to Denise van Outen and Laury's urged to do something about in a more vicious manner. The French blonde hassles the youngster back to the ropes but skims off the top of her forehead instead of blasting right through her mitts and gets countered for a change when Ann-Kathrin lets it rip and finds the pageant's chin in the proccess. A hooking follow up catches the temples and allows her to escape the trap but a close range tangle fails to inflict further damage as Brommel only spikes the ribcage a couple of times before getting clinched and pushed back into the ropes where the clock runs out to halt the lenghty wrestling struggle.
Round 4: Laury doesn't look all that fresh after the recent Easter Sunday PPV appearance but the superior core strenght allows her to keep Ann-Kathrin honest during another single-handed approach. Both girls circle back & forth and seem satisfied with the lack of a proper offensive swing and while the Lanxess Arena audience begins to lose it's patience, neither Gina Wild nor Sophia Myles follow suit and remain in stone cold demeanour all the way until the bell. A tactical round does nothing to resolve the cliffhanger for the time being but it keeps both girls' confidence pretty high - and let's be clear, they BOTH need a victory here tonight to avoid a marketing skid in the upcoming weeks.
Round 5: Laury finally ups the ante and swings a series of menacing hooks around Ann-Kathrin's temples who prefers to deke around them until she gets caught with a piercing right hand... and it's too late to react then since Laury flicks immediate follow up from the left and bursts into the German's chin to wobble her on the heels on the spot. This fuels a flurry of French jabs crashing into Brommel's face and the poor youngster can't shake off the heat and is backed into the ropes where Laury works the right hand to split the earmuff cover before driving a repeated left to the body. Up & down, hammer & tongs execution from the French pageant which dismantles Bromme's resistance come the final minute and makes her gurgle in despair... but the response only grazes the pageant's forearms and fails to find the facial targets. Thilleman leaves her foe sagging and nursing a couple of nasty shiners under the left eye but she's unfortunate not to send her down for the count and coach Myles is clearly upset over that despite a landslide dominance.
Round 6: Thilleman thinks she has Brommel rattled but a quick swing over the top blasts her on the nose and wobbles to the side seconds into the sixth... suddenly Ann-Kathrin jumps into a shocking leather frenzy unseen from her her before and whoops Laury up the middle to connect with the chin and put the entire Foxfrie Atlantic entourage on high notice... Laury winces in pain while getting properly nailed across her face but she doesn't have the agility to escape to safety and has to lean onto the German model in order to punch her back and hope to tame the onslaught the hard way... not gonna happen, dear... AK blasts her with more heavy jabs across the lips and makes them burst into a swelling dismay before adding a left hook on the liver which drops Thilleman onto the ropes and leaves her covered behind a high earmuff for remainder of the round as Brommel runs away with her best three minutes of the night to immediately increase the noise level inside the Lanxess Arena.
Round 7: More pressure from AK who looks to dump the French opponent into the point of no return but Laury digs deep into her experience and weaves away from the onslaught until the superior footwork comes to the fore and enables the German to thump the pageant's rack before a harpoon shot catches her on the liver... Thilleman wobbles forward and slides against Broomel's torso but gets quickly bumped off and hammered with a left-hand piledriver on the mouth... AND THAT SENDS LAURY CRASHING ON HER BACK moments later as Gina Wild's ready to jump between the ropes to hug her lightweight protegee... a somewhat surprising knockdown serves as a proper wake-up call though with Thilleman back on her feet at six and looking like Ann-Kathrin just stole her puppy or something... no evident signs of punishment other than the previously swollen lips but just as the Lanxess Arena awaits the coup de grace finish, Thilleman storms back into the German and triggers a heavy leather assault most of the flyweights would be proud of... now we're talking grudge boxing with both women blasting each other upstairs and looking for an instant solution... Ann-Kathrin scowls the louder of the two but fails to put the French blonde away and gets clobbered to the chest late in the round which sends her backing to the ropes and allows Laury to scream out straight into her face at the bell however the knockdown does little to help the Foxfire Atlantic cause regardless how impressive the former Miss France reacted to it.
Round 8: Surely, even Tom Hilton & the Real View crew must be impressed by Brommel's attitude tonight however the knockdown unleashed the Foxfire wrath straight into her face as Thilleman picks her off in mid distance before driving a flurry of blows to the rack which dumps the German model on her heels. She's unable to build upon her previous showing and has to soak up plenty of French heat as Laury rallies back into contention and scythes her foe across the mouth to spin her back to the ropes. A hectic struggle ensues with Brommel desperate to punish the midriff but Laury's uppercut switch does the trick and rocks AK's head back & forth until she stumbles against the turnbuckle and begins to scowl in pain. Thilleman ups the work rate and digs into her midsection herself, the superior strenght allows her to keep the German pinned in the corner for remainder of the round but - according to Denise van Outen - she's gonna find it hard to erase the knockdown handicap if the fight goes to the scorecards.
Round 9: Fatigue begins to kick in now however Thilleman's determined to make her shots count, she swings over the top to catch Brommel on the cheeks and the German refuses to back off to protect her alleged scorecards advantage; she rips into the pageant's face with both hands and stacks her up in the center of the ring before a measured uppercut lifts Laury's boobs into her chin and makes her groan in pain on the spot. She wobbles forward and meets another uppercut on the chin followed by a belting hook on the liver... Oh la la... FRENCH GIRL IS HURT and slides onto the German's shoulder but Ann-Kathrin breaths venom into her ear and ravages the exposed midriff from both hands to DUMP THILLEMAN ON HER KNEES just past the minute mark after a brutal display of body assault... Laury crumbles onto all fours and is in clear pain here as the count reaches six - she makes a tired looking effort to avoid the looming disaster and scampers back to her feet at nine... she still hugs her aching liver area and bends against the ropes while the ref seeks a confirmation whether she's good to go... she nods back at him but remains glued butt-in-ropes AND BROMMEL HOMES IN WITH A JABBING FURY... the crowd roars in support as AK traps the aching foe with a vicious series that dismantles the woeful guard and rocks Laury's head back & forth with the the pageant slowly being removed from a conscious state... she closes her eyes and only winces in disarray as Brommel blows her to a pulp... AND THE REF HAS SEEN ENOUGH to jump in and haul the German model off her victim! TKO9 Ann-Kathrin Brommel!!!
AFTER: Erruption of joy inside the Lanxess Arena marks the conclusion of a hard-fought stable war and the home team has just nicked the overall victory right at the very end with an Upset of the Night result as Ann-Kathrin Brommel stopped the French pageant Laury Thilleman to be quckly embraced not only by owner/coach Gina Wild but also Indira Weis and Sandy Moelling both whom made their way into the ring to celebrate the breakthrough result for the entire Black Eagle Boxing crew!
"Where is Tom Hilton? Where is that delusional freak who thought we couldn't win a single bout? Booyah, baby! Take this and smoke some!", Gina Wild loses her temper wholesale briefly but acknowledges the efforts of the Foxfire Atlantics and even orders the stable's bodyguards to escort a sobbing Thilleman back to the locker room before sharing a word with fellow coach Sophia Myles.
Meanwhile Ann-Kathrin is lost for words as she thanks the Cologne crowd for their support despite some very unfriendly odds and experts' predictions in the weeks leading up to this fight however more importantly she confirms her plans to fight Rosie Huntington-Whiteley next. The British model was blown away by Alessandra Ambrosio on the Girls Friday Victoria Secret card last month but she'd been targeted as Brommel's original opponent before the Foxfire Atlantic stable war idea took over. There's nothing in the way to secure this match-up anymore and alongside Indira Weis' plans to fight Jenny Frost, the schedule for the next Black Eagles fight card looks to be shaping up very quickly.
With the Lanxess Arena ready to throw a proper send-off party for VIP guests only Tom Hilton looks a little bemused in the BBU TV booth as he has to accept that his colleague and love interest Denise van Outen had been correct when she predicted that Ann-Kathrin shouldn't be written off based on the Krystal Forscutt debut meltdown.
Final result: Ann-Kathrin Brommel def. Laury Thilleman TKO9. Stable War Final: Foxfire Atlantic 2 Black Eagles 3.
