Candice Patton (1-0, 1 KO) vs Allison Williams (0-1)
(FCBA Free Agent vs Gemini Boxing Club)
Results: Lookout! Boxing / Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Candice 'The Flash' Patton returns to the ring after a successful January debut vs Meghan Markle and hopes to continue her winning ways against Allison Williams who's got only one fight under her belt as well - that was a KO8 defeat to Alice Eve back in June of last year.

Eva Mendes acts as Patton's personal coach during this fight amid rumours the LCA veteran will hang up her gloves before too long and move into permanent coaching position with the Bradenton-based stable. Does this mean Patton will be signed into the active LCA roster? Both Mendes and stable owner Mr. V refuse to confirm this possibility.

Candice Patton wears a red bikini set and black gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Allison Williams wears a silver bikini set and red gloves. Brown hair tied in a long braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Williams wants to upstage her opponent from the opening bell but Patton shows superior movement on her feet and avoids the brunette's early jabbing before sticking her gloves to the body and dominating the close range duell. Allison spikes the ribcage herself but begins to feel the Patton heat and wobbles to the side before getting laced over the top as Candice clubs her with a nasty left-handed hook to assume full control of the exchange. Williams tries to adjust her position but fails to react in time for another looping charge from her rival and gets smacked on the mouth as Candice settles in with her aggressive attitude to run away with the opening round.

Round 2:
More close range brawling between these two but this time Allison flicks a left/right combo on the mouth quicker than her opponent and manages to sink Candice with a piercing jab on the navel before throwing a series of shots to the body. Patton can't quite deke around those efforts and almost loses her balance but finds a quick hook on the nose from the back foot which briefly halts Williams' charge. Both women circle around each other in the latter stages of the round and it's clear they lack the veteran's wit to make something happen but that's Eva Mendes' job to help the 'Flash' actress however Candice remains lethargic in her efforts and is fortunate enough Allison doesn't punish her much and settles for a single hand aerial attack that makes no difference whatsoever.

Round 3:
More of the same in the third as both women start with plenty of aggressive ideas but lose their accuracy and willingness to attack down the stretch. Allison still scores the better punches to smack Candice's cheeks from both sides and shows superior high guard to avoid the somewhat predictable response from the younger actress. Patton looks slightly overwhelmed by the betting odds, she's not exactly an outsider here and Eva Mendes' coaching advice should allow her to dominate the mediocre opponent however she gives up the chase after failing to break Allison's defence down and gets clinched in the closing stages of the round with Williams then hammering away at her midsection.

Round 4:
Both women really struggle to find their best punches in this round and are happy to wrestle along the ropes rather than seek outright punishment. Allison looks like she expected an all-in blast from her opponent and prefers to disrupt the rhythm of this fight while Candice just can't land that big punch and struggles to make anything happen in close range either. The single hand approach brings little success as both women hardly show any battle scars before a late hook finally catches Allison on the nose and wobbles her into mid distance but that's too late for Patton to score a meaningful drive anymore and she barks in anger after a fruitless pursuit leads to slicing thin air instead of Williams' flesh.

Round 5:
Eva Mendes is really upset about this lacklustre performance from the 'Flash' lead cast and urges Candice into a frontal blast that finally dumps Allison on her heels when she gets slammed on the chin and soaks up a follow up hook on the left ear. She should have expected that and the waiting game backfires into her face when Patton jumps into a head hunting frenzy which backs the older brunette into the ropes and sinks her behind a tight earmuff to boot. Williams tries to punch herself out of the danger zone but remains trapped butt-in-ropes as Patton flies in with both hands and easily outworks the sluggish opponent; she belts her on the liver area to drop the guard briefly and signs off her best round to date with a clubbing uppercut on the chin that makes Allison yelp in pain right at the bell.

Round 6:
Patton's well in her rhythm now and she only needed one powerful round to send Williams into defensive circles instead of a proper aggressive response! This doesn't bode well for the Gemini brunette who tries to bide her time in mid distance but she doesn't have the agility to avoid Candice's leather rush who keeps picking her off until she traps her butt-in-ropes half way through the round again. A belting hook on the liver area sinks Allison on the spot before a flurry of uppercuts punishes the rack and shatters the high guard when Patton flicks a hooking drive on the temples. Williams gurgles in disarray while getting smacked around on her feet but she can't fight back at all here and soaks up more facial blows in the dying seconds that leave her nursing a black eye and a fat lip at the bell with Patton shaking her glove right into her face and shouting in visible delight!

Round 7:
Allison's too banged up after that previous round to mount a comeback into this bout and she can only soak up another head hunting assault that splits her gloves on the spot and enables Candice to render her into a training sack more than anything else... and Williams simply must succumb to the onslaught before too long with Patton rooting her to the spot and plugging away against the bruised face... DOWN GOES ALLISON in the middle of a jabbing frenzy and Candice thinks there's no way back for the fallen brunette anymore... Allison fends off the tearful spasms to shock plenty of people in Miami and she's given thumbs up by the ref after a slow eight count but Patton rips into her face immediately after the command and it's obvious the 'Flash' girl is angry she couldn't finish her opponent off the first time of asking... Allison struggles to even raise her gloves anymore and gets slammed into closing her eyes shut which quite frankly threatens to rearrange her face but that's exactly what Candice wants here... she rips a left hook on the ear to slump Allison's chin between her shoulders and finally sends her out of the orbit with a right hook on the nose THAT FOLDS THE GEMINI BRUNETTE immediately and drops her senseless at her opponent's feet. KO7 Candice 'The Flash' Patton!!!

AFTER: Booyah! It's goodnight for Allison and the end product makes both Candice and Eva Mendes hug each other in visible joy BUT the first four rounds of this fight require immediate improvement if Patton wants to sign a contract with anybody in this league let alone the Lioness Club of America. She was desperately slow to get off the mark and lost her focus when it became clear Williams wants to drag this out into overtime if neccessary. Thankfully she kickstarted her tactics just in time to whip Allison into KO daze and the fifth round assault alone was enough to expose the below par punching resistance of the Gemini fighter. However Candice wouldn't be so fortunate against more experienced opposition and she acknowledges the fact rating her own performance at C- during the post-fight interview.

Final result: Candice Patton def. Allison Williams KO7.
