BEFORE: Naomie Harris makes a surprising BBU comeback here in Birmingham tonight; the 39 year old actress obviously tries to make the most out of her 'James Bond 007' franchise exposure but she hasn't seen proper boxing action since her 2012 debut when she beat Martine McCutcheon on points after a gruesome ten round contest. Naomie's fitness was tested to the extreme back then but it's really admirable to see her giving it another try.

Meanwhile Jaime Murray stopped the very same McCutcheon on her BBU debut last October and based on that result she's a betting favorite against Harris according to Kate Abdo - especially that she dominated her latest outing vs another veteran, Kelly Reilly. However the biggest mystery remains Naomie's current form after such a lenghty absence. Even her opponent must be feeling a little uncertain ahead of the opening bell.

Jaime Murray wears a green sports bra, white hotpants and black gloves. Raven-black hair pulled in a tight ponytail. Naomie Harris wears a red basque top with golden trim, black hotpants & red gloves. Long black hair straight, tucked behind the ears. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds at 115 lbs catchweight.

Round 1:
Naomie jumps into immediate jabbing frenzy and catches the fellow actress by surprise; she whips overhand assault to snap Jaime's head back repeatedly and dump her on the heels well inside the opening minute. Murray tries to swing back at the high-octane working opponent but only skims off the forearms and fails to prevent Harris pounding her butt-in-ropes where the leather blitz continues and leaves the younger woman covered in a tight earmuff but simply unable to weather the storm. Naomie barks in her efforts to put as much early pressure on Jaime as possible and she doesn't even have to give it her all according to Kate Abdo as Murray sinks on her knees quickly when she gets tagged on the navel and mounts no response before the bell whatsoever.

Round 2:
The opening exchange was a shocker to most of the NEC audience and Jaime hasn't shaken it off come the second either; she allows Naomie to crash into her guts which immediately bends her forward into a very inviting uppercut switch on the rack. Jaime's chin slumps on her foe's shoulder as she tries to clinch her but Harris displays supreme strenght and shoves her on her heels before blasting a left cross on the mouth that half-spins her to the side. Before Murray can raise her arms again - Naomie squares up to her and resumes the head hunting tactics pounding a truly hapless woman back to the ropes in the proccess. Jaime slumps on her knees behind a high earmuff to close out this round but she finds no answers to Harris working her midsection over in a very ruthless fashion.

Round 3:
It looks like Naomie's never been away in first place - she must have worked extremely hard behind the scenes to show up in such a supreme form here tonight and Jaime's weak efforts over the top are quickly overwhelmed by a steady jabbing rush up the middle that splits her mitts and connects with the chin - sending her ponytail for another quick ride. The Hammersmith brunette begins to wince very loud as she finds no respite versus Naomie's brutal attack; she sags on her knees while getting the crap beaten out of her and come the bell, that's one lousy looking brunette out there while Harris clearly intends to rough her up as she bumps her off with a late hook on the brow ridge and shouts back at the crowd in confident manner.

Round 4:
Jaime tries to hang back in mid distance as she's lost all three rounds thus far - and barely landed a solid punch along the way - but her footwork is also exposed and Naomie stacks her up in the corner just past the minute mark. She dissects the midriff guard before blasting a left/right cross on the mouth to bend Murray against the turnbuckle... the younger brunette's arms slide by her waist as she winces in pain and tries to duck underneath a quick hooking drive that eventually bursts her lips into a swollen mess and enable Naomie to home in with point-blank range leather wrath... a series of three quick punches on the face removes Murray from her upright position AND SHE SLIDES DOWN ON HER BUTT simply unable to take further punishment... Naomie screams out at her and struts back to the neutral corner and it's a long count for the Hammersmith actress. She manages to get up at eight but looks very hollow in the eyes indeed. Nonetherless the ref sends her back out there and Harris is hell bent to destroy her now... Murray weaves around on her feet just trying to avoid the leather rush and secures a late clinch when Naomie's execution falters for the first time tonight and she loses her balance when missing a straight-forward hook over the top. Kate Abdo thinks the late clinch only postpones the ineviteable as Jaime looks in terrible shape here with her left eye having developed a nasty swelling on top of her inferior performance.

Round 5:
Murray doesn't quit on her stool but she can't hold off the Harris charge anymore; Daniel Craig would be proud of the Moneypenny beating here in the fifth which basically serves as a lap of honor... Naomie stacks her foe up in the center of the ring and hammers her around the elbows to drop the guard one more time... a quick switch on the jaw shuts Jaime's eyes for good and she wobbles into a left cross that slams her on the mouth AND WHIPS FACE DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS... there's no way back for the Hammersmith brunette anymore as she remains motionless for much longer than the mandatory ten count. Epic KO5 Naomie Harris!!!

AFTER: Mystery? What mystery? Naomie Harris just unleashed a massive beatdown on a fellow Londoner and has earned herself nothing but positive reviews from Kate Abdo & the rest of the Birmingham audience. Even Frankie Cocozza looks a little aroused as he makes some obscene gestures while leading the standing ovation from his VIP suite. Jaime Murray isn't THAT hittable to warrant such a terrible demise and tonight's result indicates that Naomie has simply exceeded expectations and shouldn't be counted out of future success despite her comeback decision catching many fans & experts by surprise.
