Demi Lovato (Foxfire) v Michelle Keegan (Beever's Babes)

Having won, then lost, the JMD belt in recent times, Michelle wants to return to more legitimate celebrity boxing, and has called out 23 year old Demi, who is very keen to take on the 28 year old English girl, “Yeah! I had some great wins in the BBU a while back – enjoyed some nice times with that little jobber Samia Ghadie!”

The girls are in the ring, with Demi in shorter than short denim shorts, black bra, ble gloves and boots, and Michelle in a black and white hooped bikini, with white gloves and black and white boots.

Round 1

The girls are treating each other with respect, Michelle sticking her left jab on Demi, but she has to retreat as the younger girl counters, and she gives Michelle a sparkling one-two, dapping her head to the right, then to the left, but she covers up well and not giving Demi any flesh to hit, frustrates the girl, and upsets her now by landing a series of quick jabs, knocking her head backwards, pushing her backwards nicely – but Demi won’t go quietly, and she rips some good shots into Michelle’s body to slow her down, the Brit gulping in air as she clinches and she gets pulled away by the referee, then gets tagged with a left hook from Demi, and she’s backed up to the ropes, Demi looking for her body, only to find Michelle fights back in the closing seconds, not enough to steal the round, but enough to make Demi realise there’s a long way to go in this fight.

Round 2

It’s Michelle taking the lead this time around, following in nicely after her jab, and she’s getting some good results now, forcing Demi backwards, the younger girl’s cheeks reddening, but she isn’t really weakening her at all, because Demi’s returning fire, again whipping Michelle’s head from side to side with some hard hooks from both hands, Michelle covering, then fighting back, catching Demi unawares with a left uppercut, and that clears the younger girl out backwards, gives Michelle the chance to hit her again, this time with her right hook, which she follows with a good left cross, and now it’s Demi holding on to get her breath back, with Michelle giving her some solid body blows at close range. The referee breaks it up, and Michelle again finds Demi with her right hook, but she gets caught by the younger girl as she stands and delivers some good punches to the Brit’s face, leaving her with a bruise on her left cheek at the bell.

Round 3

The girls are both in a rhythm now, and they swap good punches in the centre of the ring, Michelle looking like she’s getting on top of Demi, and she sweeps the American’s mouth with a left hook, making her stagger, and she follows in, annoyed that Demi holds and clings on until the referee gets involved. Reset by the referee, Michelle comes back in at Demi, gets that left jab working, looks for the right hook – and eats a pair of savage left hooks to her face, staggers backwards, gets tagged with a right hand, and goes down! Michelle’s on her backside, and gets to her feet at 6, still a little wobbly on those shapely legs, and Demi piles on the pressure, batters the English girl to a neutral corner, and starts to give her a good beating, really laying those hooks into Michelle’s body, both girls sweating, but Demi’s got a smile on her face as she surveys Michelle’s bruising ribs and flanks, before smacking her in the mouth with a solid right cross right on the bell, Michelle bloodied and struggling now.

Round 4

On comes Demi again in the opening seconds, sending Michelle backwards with a pair of jabs and another right cross, that punch seeming to cause the Brit a lot of trouble, and she’s been cut on her right cheek now, the blood from that cut merging with the blood from her split lips as Demi snaps her head back with a couple more solid jabs, the former JMD champion being taught a lesson right now, as Demi thuds some more punishing shots into her body, Michelle clinching again to stop the momentum, but still Demi seems able to work her around, her fans calling for her to finish Michelle off, but she just can’t quite get home to the older girl’s face now, Michelle clinching and holding as much as she can, frustrating the hell out of Demi, who again resets herself after the referee breaks up the clinch, and gives Michelle yet another solid right cross to the face, presses her backwards, and works on her again, although this time Michelle starts to hit back, and ends the round looking stronger than she began it, although her face is smeared in her own blood.

Round 5

Demi again comes hunting for Michelle, but the older girl’s fighting back this time, encouraged by her recovery late in round 4, and she snaps Demi’s head backwards with a couple of firm jabs, sends her backwards, and thumps her again. But Demi doesn’t want to lose control, and she lands once more to Michelle’s battered body, gets the Brit to drop her guard with a punishing left to her liver, and swats her face with a snappy combination, the blood running down the older girl’s face from her cut cheek, Michelle backing away, and Demi comes in closer, giving the Brit the chance to bop her in the face with her own punches again, and she shakes Demi with her left jab, right hook combination, the younger girl’s defence letting her down as she over-extends herself, and now she’s getting backed into the ropes for once, with the Brit unloading a decent right hook on her ribs, and finishing the round well with more jabs, the punches smacking into Demi’s face between her gloves.

Round 6

Demi looked fairly tired at the end of round 5, and she’s taking some punches in the early stages of round 6, as Michelle knocks her backwards with a decent little flurry of jabs, but she stands firm before she gets backed into a corner, and she’s fighting back well, pings Michelle with her right cross once more, and turns the Brit around, rests her against the ropes and belts her in the ribs again, Michelle grunting as the blows rain in, but she slides sideways and out of trouble this time, Demi unable to connect properly as she tries to stop her, and Michelle lands her own punches instead, Demi covering herself well though, and Michelle’s not getting enough success, Demi again fighting back, working on the Brit’s body some more, and giving her a good swatting with both gloves to close out the round, not looking quite as tired when she’s hitting the older girl, who looks very worn now, the bruising and cut on her left cheek beginning to close her eye.

Round 7

Demi’s putting in another good shift early in the round, poking Michelle backwards, and she’s after the older girl’s midsection again, while Michelle writhes sideways, and stabs her left jab into Demi’s face, and this time she’s getting her right hook in as well, landing her punches hard in the younger girl’s face, and she’s worked her into a corner, sending her backwards with a left jab, a right hook, and another right hook, Demi’s legs quivering a little, and she’s in trouble, Michelle banging big hits into her body, Demi’s guard parting, and in goes the uppercut from Michelle, landing squarely on the younger girl’s chin, and putting her down. It’s a shaky Demi who gets to her feet at 7, and she’s very much a punchbag for Michelle now, as the Brit pays her back for the thumping she dished out earlier in the fight, jabbing her face hard, and following that with some crashing punches to the belly, pinning the pretty American to the ropes, and now she moves her attack to that face, taking her time, measuring her punches and banging her gloves in, and now it’s Demi who finds blood on her face, with a cut opening across the bridge of her nose, and she nods to Michelle at the bell, clearly showing respect.

Round 8

Demi’s trying to hide her exhaustion, but Michelle’s finding her out, whips in a left and a right to her body, then clubs her with a big right hook over the top of her guard, Demi stunned by that, but holding on desperately, the referee taking his time to break the clinch, checking that Demi’s ok, and back comes Michelle, trying the younger girl out with that uppercut again, but it doesn’t land quite as sweetly as the earlier one, although it does hurt Demi, who starts drifting backwards again, Michelle picking her off now with some good hits, blood flying from Demi’s split nose, but she fights back, the girl showing real courage as she bangs punches into Michelle’s body, goes for a right hook, which is parried, and now she pays the penalty as Michelle hammers her face, three, four, five punches landing in swift succession, and that’s put Demi down again, the girl bravely rolling over to rise, but she can't get back up on her feet, the referee’s count reaching 10 with her one all fours, and she topples forward as she realises she has lost.

Result: Michelle Keegan knocked out Demi Lovato in round 8.

That’s the type of fight to have fightfans on their feet, with Michelle dragging herself back from the jaws of defeat to win, and both girls walk slowly around the ring afterwards, taking the ovation they deserve.
