Moon Bloodgood versus Yvonne Strahovski
(Words: Bazz / Results: Lookout!)

Before: Both fighters standing at their respective podiums on maybe the most crowded stage in FCBA history. Woodley – Van Camp did it. So the bad blood between Lookout and Bazz was bound to continue into this fight between Strahovski and Bloodgood. The stage is mobbed with fighters from both camps muscling up against each other and a cadre of security that includes a platoon of National Guardsmen borrowed from the Tobyhanna Army Depot located up the road, just in case. After all this mob includes the diabolical Cassie Scerbo and the equally precocious Vanessa Hudgens acting like a couple of Bundini Browns each seeking the other out on the stage.

“What happened last PPV is out of my mind. I’m here to win a fight not compete in the outbreak of some sort of stable war, the equivalent of a sorority pillow fight. I’m fighting a former welterweight champion and I’d like to win so…” “Aaaaaagh!” The sudden screech interrupting Yvonne Strahovski is from Cassie Scerbo, her ponytail receiving a sharp yank from behind. While no one can prove Vanessa Hudgens was standing just behind the Bazz flyweight when her hair follicles were challenged the circumstantial evidence is very strong. “As I was saying, I’ve got too much respect for Moon as a fighter and person to let some sort of stable scuffle take precedent. I’m here to win.”

“I’m going to leave any interclub brawl to the lighter weights if you know what I mean.” Moon Bloodgood looks back at Scerbo and Hudgens for a brief moment. “She didn’t mention her own championships did she? So I will. This is going to be a hell of a fight and after it’s done I’m aiming to be the one standing.” Moon Bloodgood finishes just before a loud “Ooooof!” erupts from the pack. Not to be outdone by another flyweight Cassie Scerbo has doubled back around a very naïve 20 year old guardsman, snuck between the legs of another to perform a savage Rear Admiral on Vanessa Hudgens who lets out a rush of air as the band of her underpants ends up over her head.

Yvonne looking spectacularly beachy with a bright green bikini with matching gloves and black shoes. Bloodgood in a traditional Bazz black bikini with matching gloves and calf boots. Both women are wearing their hair in loose ponytails.

Rd 1 Both women are at the top of the food chain in using power and reach when it comes to subduing an opponent so the opening jabs are strong, crisp and surprisingly quick from the big girls. Strahovski snapping off a couple of impressive jabs that catch Moon. Meanwhile Bloodgood returns a jab of her own and a right hand that catches Yvonne’s chin. Blond hair flies as Bloodgood steps forward for some more. Strahovski scoots back getting out of the way, gaining some time to regroup. Moon jabbing again leaning in getting as many inches as possible to hit Yvonne and stay out of her range.

Strahovski bobbing and weaving staying away from most of the damaging punches and throwing some counterpunching in to try and keep the big Bazz girl at bay. The fighters are surprisingly light on their feet, quick movements around the ring make them look like bantams. Yvonne ducks down trying to get into Bloodgood’s body but she’s met with Moon’s own counterpunches and catches a couple of bruising shots to her head. The round ends with an advantage to Bloodgood.

Rd 2 Both fighters happy to stay at center ring and trade punches. Each catching the other with a high percentage of shots. Action is getting intense and the crowd is on its feet. Moon knocks Yvonne’s head back with a strong jab which momentarily staggers the blonde. Moon tries to attack again but Yvonne does a great job covering up and then slaps a right hand up against Moon’s head. Moon takes another jab to the head and reels back against the ropes. Strahovski moves in with a right hand to the body that doubles over the Bazz girl. Moon clutching her gut takes another right to the chin and then recovers with a buggywhip right hand to Yvonne’s side. Yvonne takes the pain and comes back with another right hand that stops Moon’s counterpunches. Both girls affected by the other’s attack still try and trade punches until the bell with a slight advantage to Strahovski.

Rd 3 Both Yvonne and Moon have been nicked up during the first two roundsand are keeping their distance throwing jabs. Yvonne ducking and punching while Moon is upright moving side to side dodging Strahovski’s jabs while snapping off her own. The crowd mesmerized by the muscle at work in this fight thinking that one false move by wither fighter will spell their doom when Bloodgood leans in planting her left foot, launching a right hand that just catches Strahovski on the chin wizzing by like a thrown hammer. Yvonne staggered by the glancing yet powerful blow. Blonde launched to her right landing against the ropes. She’s covering up, hands up around her ears while Bloodgood steps in with some serious firepower. Strahovski using the ropes to keep afloat while Bloodgood pounds away with shots to the body and roundhouse rights to the head that look as if they could decapitate a moose. The crowd is roaring its approval while Moon Bloodgood stands flatfooted in front of a damaged Yvonne Strahovski trying to finish her off until the bell rings.

Rd 4 Strahovski still not right as the round begins. As with the first three rounds Moon jabs at the outset but then quickly moves into destruction mode. She’s throwing well timed combinations that have Yvonne on her bicycle looking for any sort or refuge from one of the heaviest hitters in the game. Bloodgood scoring consistently with both her jab and right hand. The Bazz big girl backs Strahovski up against the ropes and starts throwing bombs. Yvonne a blonde mess trying to stay on her feet amongst some of the heaviest punching she’s ever faced. She’s covering up pretty well keeping Moon out of her face and enduring punches to the body as best as possible.Suddenly Bloodgood goes from throwing a series of right crosses to ducking down and flexing her thighs bursting upwards with an uppercut that connects with Yvonne knocking her head back. Gorgeous blonde staggers away from the ropes to center ring trying to maintain her composure. She’s stepping in fence post holes while Bloodgood chases her down getting in position to hopefully end this fight early. She sends out two strong punches to the body doubling Strahovski over as the bell rings. Moon gives Yvonne a good looking over as the blonde stumbles her way back to her corner wondering how the Lookout fighter is still on her feet.

Rd 5 Strahovski looking winded as she emerges from her corner. Bloodgood moves in with a feint jab and finishes with a right hand to the body that sends Yvonne back to the old usual run and hide. Bloodgood continuing to take charge as she dances in on Yvonne landing jabs and right hands at will. Strahovski holding off Bloodgood and throwing some pretty good counterpunches but it is still Moon’s show. She’s hitting up Yvonne with the majority of the punches thrown between the two fighters. Big girl seemingly too strong for Lookout blonde and she’s shown Strahovski a surprising show of quickness to boot. Bloodgood pushing Strahovski around again. This time she’s waltzing her back towards the ropes as the fighters clinch and exchange uppercuts in close. Suddenly Strahovski connects with a right hand to the chin and DOWN GOES BLOODGOOD! Bazz big girl stumbles back onto her butt. Face showing shock with eyes wide open. Crowd erupts at the turn of events while the ref counts. Bloodgood up and none the worse for wear as she accepts a standing eight count. Bloodgood still in shock as Strahovski bounds back in hoping to inflict more damage. Blonde is stifled as she quickly finds that Moon isn’t hurt and can easily put up a more than adequate defense until the round ends.

Rd 6 Strahovski stronger now and putting forth her first real offense in three rounds. Fighters each back to using their jabs to breakdown the other. Bloodgood pounding away using her reach advantage on Yvonne while the blonde bombshell ducks and covers emerging from her stance to land her own combinations. The intensity ramps up and the two are now toe to toe fully throwing hammer and tongs at each other. Heads getting knocked back, ribcages wracked, jugs womanhandled as the two fighters give everything that they have left in their tanks. Round is winding down when Strahovski lets fly with an uppercut that connects. DOWN GOES MOON! The brunette welter takes another shot to the chin and ends up right back on her butt. Bloodgood tries to climb up the ropes. She’s up to her knees when the count reaches 10 and it’s over. Winner Yvonne Strahovski with a 6 round KO!

After: Yvonne sitting on her bench her body bruised and her eyes shut from the beatdown administered between rounds 3 through 5 by Moon Bloodgood. Despite the pain she’s laughing through puffy lips. “Holy crap! I can’t believe that I won! I was getting killed! Moon’s as advertised and she’s so strong. Probably stronger than her fellow big girl assassin Regan, if I'm being honest. And she can move. No wonder she’s been at the top for so long. I got two openings tonight and I took them both and scored. With the fight she fought tonight any other girl fights her and they end up on their backsides. I'm not leaving lightweight anytime soon as there is still a lot of unfinished business there, but I do love a challenge and they hit pretty hard up here. I'll be back and I'd love to take another trip to the moon!” The blonde lightweight can’t help but laugh as she finishes her comments.

Meanwhile all seems silent on the flyweight front. The other fighters from Bazz and Lookout seem to have moved on from the Woodley – Van Camp fight’s theatrics and there doesn’t look as if there is pudding or conquerors of anyone in sight. Still a rivalry has emerged between two of the more powerful fight clubs in the FCBA and it’s anyone’s guess as to where it will lead from here.
