TESS VALMORE

LEVY/A. SIMPSON Simpson took the first two rounds moving and jabbing, keeping Levy outside. Levy evened up the bout by finally getting inside and working the body. Using her strategy of staying outside, Simpson took round five and Levy got back inside to take the sixth.
In the seventh, Levy stunned Simpson with an uppercut and followed up with a barrage of punches to the head and Simpson went down for the count

ELLINGSON/RUAH The taller Ellingson had a pretty good first four rounds. She took three of the four building nice lead by using her length, jabbing and keeping Ruah on the defensive. Ruah, finally, got her offense going hurting Ellingson in the fifth to take the round. In the sixth Ruah floored Ellingson with a big right hook. Ellingson beat the count but was an easy target for Ruah, who pounded her at will until the referee stepped in and stopped the fight

MACK/GERMAN The first three rounds were rather uneventful, rather both watching each other waiting to go on the big offensive as German took two of the three rounds. The fourth was a preview of what was to come. when Mack got inside and staggered German with a right hook. In the fifth, Mack got German against the ropes and cut loose with another right hook. German went down and stayed there as the count could have gone long past ten

GOODWIN/PERRY Two things we didn’t expect in this bout, Goodwin lasting past the fifth and a torrid slugging bout. The slugging started right out of corners. Goodwin taking the first and Perry the second, Perry hurt Goodwin in the third, but then Goodwin floored Perry in the fourth, She added to her lead by taking the fifth. Perry evened up the bout by decking Goodwin in the sixth. Perry took the lead by winning round seven but Goodwin evened it up again by winning round eight. Perry went back into the lead by flooring Goodwin in the ninth. Goodwin would need a KO in the tenth to win. She didn’t get it and Perry got the decision

DENNINGS/HAZELL After a first round that was judged a tie, the two split winning rounds as the bout was even at the end of five. In the fifth Denning gave Hazell a clue at to what was to come by rocking Hazell with a right hook. It was a right uppercut in the sixth that sent Hazell down for the count giving Dennings a KO6 win

WAGNER/SWAN The bout was even at the end of two and even at the end of four, Wagner had good rounds in five and six to take a two point lead. Swan, however, had a big seventh hammering Wagner to close Wagner’s lead to one point and leaving her shaken. In the eighth, Swan landed a booming right that sent Wagner to the canvas. She desperately tried to rise, however, was unable to keep on her feet and the count went to ten giving Swan a KO win
