BEFORE: After a failed attempt to regain the welterweight title from the hands of Amanda Righetti, the OTHER elite redhead returns to a ranking competition against the somewhat forgotten Natasha Henstridge. There are some questions marks over this choice but the Lioness Club of America makes it's case simple: Henstridge sells tickets and every exposure is worth the price when you're camped north side of 130 pounds. As long as Charlize Theron and Gena Lee Nolin remain active, there's room for Natasha Henstridge as well and Cassidy Freeman understands the special welterweight business environement more than the perennial Tractorpull Magazine naysayers.

Cassidy Freeman wears a red bikini top, black hotpants and red gloves. Red hair tied in a curled ponytail. Natasha Henstridge wears a violet sports bra, black hotpants and white gloves. Blonde hair with bangs pulled back into a long ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Henstridge works from the inside early on trying to freeze the redhead out through repeated uppercuts and she does really well to prevent her from stretching some elbows which in turn enables the blonde to pick off some beef as she rolls Freeman to the side before the alleged favorite has to seek clear air. Blonde in pursuit mode thereafter, the one-handed swings are doing the trick as Cassidy tries to settle down here but meets a stubborn opponent who's not afraid to push the envelope. Experience kicks in as Cass lets the Nat show to continue however the physical damage is minimal despite the double workload of the older woman. Impressive on the cards but no so much in real-time.

Round 2:
It was naive to think that Freeman would let the blonde keep the pouncing assault going and she stacks her up with the initial one-two combo upstairs that catches the brow ridge and wobbles Henstridge back. No real agility to speak of in response so Freeman wades in on the body before dishing out an uppercut galore herself that quickly tames Nat's guard and sends her reeling back onto the ropes. Redhead ups the tempo a notch and slices the torso before adding more clear uppercuts on the chin that Henstridge is unable to fend off; she sags deep on her knees in the final minute as Freeman explains her personally why she's Top 5 ranked in the division. Any questions, dear? A belting left hook on the liver area makes the older woman gasp for air and the punching resistance just isn't there for Natasha; Cass gives her 60% tops according to the commentary crew and that's a generous statement as the blonde ignores looking her opponent in the eye at the break already.

Round 3:
Asylum PPV-like dominance from Freeman to start the third - or shall we say the fun & games are over! She catches Nat with a massive left hook on the brow ridge before adding a right cross on the nose and Henstridge spins back to the ropes on the spot in desperate need of some respite. She doesn't find it and gets plastered onto the turnbuckle by another nose clipping cross; Freeman harpoons her around the elbows once she sets up the cavalry and blasts unanswered leather up the middle rendering Natasha's guard totally worthless within the opening minute mark. Blonde's arms collapse to the side in wake of the power supply and Cass even winces a little in her efforts to secure the quick finish... not a lot required now as the ref looks on in visible animosity, Henstridge's spirit gives up first - she stumbles to the left and meets a hefty blast on the nose that whips her head to the other side but the knees are long gone as well.... AND DOWN SHE GOES... heavy tumble on the left side marks Natasha's involvement in this bout since you don't come back from those up in the 130 plus category! KO3 Cassidy Freeman!!!

AFTER: Some people will argue the fact Cassidy Freeman is a perennial elite contender these days but the opposition seems mentally affected more than anything else even before the opening bell. Natasha Henstridge tried to make it competitive and was looking really good before she actually got punched in anger. And she was gift-wrapped once Cassidy decided she was going to take this bout seriously. Whether it tells more about the redhead or about the blonde is for the experts and journalists to decide!
