BEFORE: Collien Fernandes opens the Triple Heat PPV amid rumours that she simply has to beat Layla Kayleigh here tonight to get rid of the jobber tag. She remains the only Black Eagle member without a victory despite earning one opportunity more than the rest of her stablemates. However she's been defeated three times already and if she won't redeem herself against Layla, her career prospects will hit rock bottom according to Georgie Thompson.

Meanwhile Layla is just happy to get another chance in BBU; she's fought just once before and was knocked out in four rounds by Havana Brown back in December 2011. Georgie Thompson doesn't see it happenning for the London-born British-American TV personality tonight but nobody inside the Lanxess Arena really knows what she's been up to for the past four and a half years!

Collien Fernandes wears a black bikini set and golden gloves. Long black hair tied in a loose ponytail. Layla Kayleigh wears a navy blue bikini and white gloves. Long brown hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Collien needs a quick start to this bout and literally runs across the ring to secure immediate connection with Layla's face which immediately sends the younger brunette on her heels. The Cologne crowd gets a rare test of Collien's fire power as she slams the high guard aside and whips her foe's head back & forth until Kayleigh manages to clinch her briefly and halt the early disaster. However she gets wrestled back to the ropes moments later and soaks up a nasty hook on the solar plexus that bends her forward into a repeated jabbing attack which enables Fernandes to dominate the final minute with Layla covered up behind a high earmuff and not producing much back in response.

Round 2:
More of the same in the second; Layla's just too rusty to make any impact and coach Gina Wild urges Collien to rough her up before she can rally back into contention. The uptempo swinging assault works well against such a slow moving and ineffective opponent so Kayleigh gets saddled on her heels again and only grazes the German's forearms in weak response. Collien eyes damaging her face but fails to split the high guard which reverts her into pounding the fellow brunette's guts thereafter; she bumps Layla back to the ropes and ends the second round the same way she ended the first - ripping Kayleigh's midsection apart and making her moan in numbers.

Round 3:
Layla tries to ignite some pace into her actions but suffers from another German blast as Fernandes clearly shows her no respect at all and just wades in with more aerial attack. She clobbers the younger brunette up the middle and tags her chin a couple of times before a drilling hook on the temple sends Kayleigh spinning back to the ropes. The London-born woman just sags in the corner and doesn't seem to know what slams her on the nose moments later as Collien flies in with a brutal hook TO PUT HER DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE... that should silence plenty of Gina Wild match-making critics now as the hitherto lacklustre TV presenter really enforces her presence and the crowd looks a little disappointed that Kayleight actually beats the count at seven. However she's trapped butt-in-ropes and Collien just rains punches on her until the guard collapses again and allows the older brunette to blast several bruising jabs that dismantle the Brit's resilience once and for all... LAYLA SLIDES DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE with her eyes closed again and this time it's terminal. Ref waves it off without even starting the count and it's a maiden KO3 victory for Collien Fernandes!!!

AFTER: Michelle Joy Phelps of the Real View predicted this fight might turn into a one-sided beatdown but even she must be impressed by Collien's ruthless style against a vastly inferior opponent. Of course she'll have to improve a lot in the future if this result would indicate any progress but sometimes that maiden victory is indeed tougher to achieve than maintain an elite status. On the other hand, Layla's future in BBU looks bleak, she gets escorted back to the locker room in visibly slumped demeanour and Georgie Thompson thinks this vicious experience versus an otherwise mediocre operator could break her mentally more than anything else. And that's never a good sign.

Final result: Collien Fernandes def. Layla Kayleigh KO3.
