SHENAE GRIMES VS ARIANA GRANDE

BEFORE: Ariana Grande was still a free agent when she accepted Shenae Grimes' challenge but a lot has changed since then. The petite singer signed a contract with the newly formed Queens of the Mic a couple of weeks ago and looks to convince her new employers they made the correct choice. Meanwhile Grimes is technically a free agent herself but she serves as Jessica Lowndes' personal sparring partner over at the Lioness Club of America and the regular work she earns with one of the best flyweights around probably outweights the value of Grande's new environement. Plus the former 90210 lead heroine comes off a fine knockout over another fresh Queens signing Victoria Justice while Ariana couldn't handle newcomer Camilla Cabello earlier this month.

Shenae Grimes wears a silver bikini set with green trim and green gloves. Long dark brown hair with blonde flashes in loose waves. Ariana Grande wears a red bikini set and silver gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a trademark half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Ariana rides the new contract mojo and digs into Shenae's guts seconds into the fight; the actress gets outworked in close range despite clipping Grande's cheeks and eats a jabbing series on the ribcage to reel backwards and jump to the side in avoidance. Ariana seeks overhand success and keeps Grimes dancing on her toes until she nails her with a right handed cross on the nose and wobbles her on the spot. More hooks pierce the Canadian's guard thereafter and she fails to soak up the leather without damage, Ariana works around her left eye already and rocks the head back & forth until she drives her foe back to the ropes for good. Grimes feels the heat and yelps out in pain after getting pummelled back in such a commanding fashion - it's a stunning display from the petite singer who clearly means business

Round 2:
More fireworks from Grande; she whips the Canadian on the temples before adding some jabs to the mouth. Shenae's guard cracks and the older brunette has to check out briefly before jumping at the American foe and beating her for overhands that spike the eye again. Ariana tries to stay in the exchange but fails to match Grimes' reach and has to deke to the side... that's to no avail as the actress whips her with more cross hooks and sags on the knees with a loud yelp. More from the Canadian afterwards, she pummels herself through on the chest and reels a suddenly hapless opponenent back to the ropes; Grande tries to clinch her but eats another hook on the left eye and bends against the ropes instead with Shenae pumping jabs into her face before the ref drags her away at the bell.

Round 3:
Ariana looks quite sore after that hectic Canadian drive to close out the second and she can't even protect herself that much so just jumps after the older brunette and whacks her on the chin with a sudden uppercut charge that makes the crowd roar in support. Grimes screams out but endures a good head rocking experience nonetherless and falls onto the ropes with Grande driving a hammer punch to the nose and adding one more on the navel... Shenae bends forward and covers up as the singer thumps her body and strikes over the top trying to connect with the temples... everything has changed now and Ariana runs away with the romping display, she keeps the Canadian girl trapped and just whoops her left, right and center... finally rocks her temples and sends up and almost over the ropes. She sags Shenae with a left hook on the eye and tears the skin underneath it; Grimes is left swallowing some tears at the bell as Ariana obviously channels her Latin background and makes the Queens of the Mic so proud right now! And even Victoria Justice a little jealous to boot!

Round 4:
Ariana's up early and shadow boxes in the middle of the ring to pleasure the blood thirsty audience. And there's blood early in the fourth as Shenae follows LCA head trainer Claudia Schiffer's advice and bombs a big one right onto Grande' nose and staggers her to the side with red fluid suddenly seeping from the squashed nostrils... The Latin sexpot doesn't realize that at first but when she feels it, she pauses and looks on in shock as Grimes comes flying in AND NAILS HER with a mammoth hook that tears the right brow ridge into more blood and sends Ariana staggering back to the corner. And now her brow ridge is all torn up too! Even the audience can't believe it's all gone downhill so quickly for Grande here. She has the presence of mind to stay in mid-range and avoid more punches and the Canadian literally bursts out laughing when she glares down at the wounded face of her opponent. Oh, boy! Ariana's close to tears at the bell as she remains buried under a steady body assault while Shenae seems more than satisfied with the facial damage and looks keen to chop the smaller brunette down in the corner to run away with a monster round! Ariana's confidence is all but gone as she talks to trainer Paula Abdul and can't stop shaking her head in the proccess.

Round 5:
The lady luck has deserted Ariana now as Shenae tears into her face after a speedy approach and adds more lumps on the cheeks with the trademark half-up ponytail snapping back & forth and sending her down the exit door. Grimes oozes Lowndes-like confidence and pounds away at the lacklustre foe; she drives her back to the turnbuckle where she can send some tummy leather to further soften Grande up and roll back the demons. The Florida native struggles to embrace this onslaught and can only clinch Grimes in order to see out the round; she still gets whacked across the ribs and sinks on her knees with Shenae tearing into her face late in the round to open the nasal bleeding again and just punch the last ounce of resistance from the singer. Bell saves Grande from looming disaster but she's just all torn & banged up at half-distance.

Round 6:
Ariana has nothing left in the tank and tries to protect her face from more injuries as the Canadian whacks her around the elbows instead and roots to the spot in the center of the ring. Wide slaps test Grande's ab muscles strenght as the younger brunette tries to respond over the top with a loud moaning effort but Shenae weaves around it and cross hooks the nose again to drop the singer's arms and wobble her into another cross hook, this time from the right that catches her on the mouth AND JUST SENDS SPINNING FACE-DOWN on the canvas moments later... Ariana hits the deck hard and rolls onto her back with eyes closed, aching her heart out in pure dismay... no need to count her out, she's over and done with here! Vicious KO6 Shenae Grimes!!!

AFTER: Ariana looked like the new girl in town after three rounds but then got caught up in a furious Canadian leather flurry which inflicted a couple of nasty cuts on her she never recovered from. Grande's 5'0" physical frame remains her biggest issue and she needs supreme confidence to make her efforts count but once Shenae Grimes channelled some of Jessica Lowndes' grudge ideas, she just couldn't handle them at all and went down in a smoking heap. A solid candidate for Knockout of the Night honors has curtained Queens of the Mic debut performance but Ariana remains too attractive to stay inactive on the long haul. Plus the female boxing fanbase would like to know just which of the two flyweights on their roster is the best, Ariana or fellow Nickelodeon starlet Victoria Justice! Let them battle it out!

On the other hand Shenae keeps flying under the radar but she profits a lot from sharing gym schedule with Jessica Lowndes. She won't sign an official LCA contract anytime soon but the help from coach Claudia Schiffer enabled her to storm back into contention tonight and literally pound the fast-starting Ariana Grande out of her senses. She earns full marks for execution and artistic impression!
