BEFORE: Allthough Cheryl Cole lost the flyweight title eliminator to Lucy Hale last month, she remains keen to stay in the thick of divisional action and has challenged Nina Dobrev into a classic beatdown mode contest apparently unable to tolerate Nina's "Prettiest Brunette in the FCBA" status for much longer. Well, Nina's maybe the prettiest girl around but she's lost a high-profile battle of "The Fittest" against Briana Evigan lately and looks to avoid a dangerous slide away from the elite group. Anyone who loses two fights in a row leaves herself exposed to the media vultures and Nina - who has Emily VanCamp and Vanessa Hudgens stealing most of the Lookout! Boxing headlines already, needs a big win to confirm the Evigan loss was just a one-off hiccup. She vows to deliver the Bulgarian Beatdown on Cheryl tonight but she has to remember the former Girls Aloud singer remains one of the most aggressive girls around the 110 lbs division and is afraid of no one. The odds have Dobrev as slight favorite also because of her bantamweight frame along with the otherwise "fittest" attitude.

Cheryl Cole wears a black bikini top, orange knickers and white gloves. Dark brown hair with blonde flashes tied in a custom ponytail. Nina Dobrev wears a black & pink themed bikini, black knickers and golden gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds at 114 lbs catchweight, Cole will earn 60% of the allocated fee for accepting the extra weight on Dobrev.

Round 1:
Plenty of Geordie Power on display early on; Cheryl thumps Nina up the middle and begins to rock her ponytail around as she leans on the front (left) leg and hammers away without any second thoughts. Nina has to adjust to the high-tempo start and it takes her a while but she avoids getting trapped on the ropes allthough she has to fend off repeated jabbing assault in the close range. She swings a couple of nasty hooks over the top but they make no impression on the English singer who keeps harrassing her with her offensive stance for remainder of the round to secure a very convincing opener.

Round 2:
Nina settles in with a jabbing series over the top and finally matches Cheryl's aggresive mindset; both girls pour leather onto each other but neither breaks down under pressure and they bump off in the center of the ring before Dobrev blasts a left cross on the singers mouth to stagger her on the heels briefly. A quick hook around the elbows finds the liver area and reels Chezza backwards so Nina can outwork her thereafter and pummel back to the ropes where she ignores the clinching efforts by peppering the singer's guts. Cole groans in her attempts to break free but Dobrev sinks her with another piercing hook on the liver area and evens the scores at the end of two.

Round 3:
Dobrev's head hunting assault slams a couple of nasty hooks on the Cole's temples and drops her behind a tight earmuff early in the third, the Bulgarian-born brunette rips more leather up the middle to keep her foe caved in before ducking away from a somewhat desperate response from the back foot. Cheryl can't find her targets anymore as she eats a couple of solid hooks on the mouth and begins to wilt under Nina's repeated attacks which send the fight onto the ropes where Nina once again sets up a bruising drive on the guts to keep Cheryl at bay. The Geordie brunette tries to swing for the fences with a lurid hooking attempt but only meets Nina's left uppercut on the jaw instead and slumps on her knees at the bell.

Rounds 4 & 5:
Cheryl is suddenly losing the aggressive exchanges and Nina looks as focused as she can be here, she didn't take the brawling bait and steers her attacks spot on target with Cole's head rocking & reeling. The older brunette is also the louder of the two as she tries to beat the actress for pace & execution but she can't land anything significant over the top and settles for a midriff pounding instead. This change allows her to halt the Bulgarian Beatdown mode during the fifth and send Nina butt-in-ropes when a clean hit on the liver makes the Lookout! fighter gurgle in pain and drop her cover. A quick switch upstairs spins Dobrev's ponytail again and Cole rallies back into supreme position thereafter dishing out vicious strikes to the body with Nina clinching her to survive the onslaught.

Round 6:
BIG PUNCH DOBREV!!! Both girls tangle in the center of the ring but Nina stuffs Cheryl up with a monster hook on the nose that bursts the nostrils and almost makes the singer go down on her knees on the spot. A follow up on the jaw just misses the target but Cole goes all wobbly butt regardless and has to soak up a vicious barrage to the body with Dobrev barking in anger & determination to put her away. Chezza lands on the ropes when she gets mauled to the tummy and bends forward to meet Nina's crunching uppercut on the chin followed by another jabbing drive from point-blank range that destroys the guard and lumps the embattled singer up come the final minute. Nina tries to bash her face in and keeps hammering away in fury with Cole's aches getting louder and louder but she doesn't collapse underneath all that leather jam even though she walks very gingerly back to her corner after the bell and needs coach Claudia Schiffer and assistant Melanie Brown to patch up the wounded nose ASAP.

Round 7:
Dobrev thinks she's broken Cole's resilience with that nasal injury and romps into another steady jabbing assault that sends the Geordie lass behind a tight earmuff. However due to a lack of a proper follow up Nina can't completely dominate her opponent and loses her accuracy as she bounces off the gloves a little too often to even trap the singer on the ropes. Chezza loops a couple of promising hooks and tags Nina's temples before a lenghty clinch slows the action down. Dobrev looks upset over the fact she hasn't knocked the fellow brunette down yet but her attempts to bully Cole back to the corner suffer a nasty blow when the singer slams her on the liver area and leaps into a sudden uppercut attack that nails her on the solar plexus and allows Cheryl to bump her into the ropes in the dying seconds where another harpoon strike pierces the navel and makes Dobrev scream out in discomfort.

Round 8:
Nina keeps coming forward but misses the hooking approach and Cheryl stuffs her with another belting hook on the liver area before adding a quick uppercut on the jaw to wobble the actress back. Both girls leap into a jabbing charge but Cole gets there first and NAILS Dobrev on the ear to spin her back with a loud yelp - a brutal follow up on the chin catches the younger brunette cold and drops her guard alltogether with Chezza romping her to the gut thereafter and trapping butt-in-ropes for a change of scenery. Nina weaves around on her feet but suffers from repeated body strikes and slumps against the singer's waist, Cheryl drills the solar plexus while getting a little vocal - she whips Nina against the ropes and smokes her with a nasty left/right cross on the jaw before another hook on the ear SENDS DOBREV CRASHING DOWN ON HER LEFT SIDE... Ugh! Nobody inside the arena saw that coming and Nina looks as stunned as anyone as she battles back to upright position at seven but struggles to catch her breath while the singer glares down on her with utmost disdain. A late jabbing rally on the guts keeps Nina yelping in pain and she's fortunate the clock runs out in the middle of the Geordie frenzy, otherwise the stoppage would be imminient!

Round 9:
Nina's short of oxygen after that terrible eight round and even her "fittest" attitude doesn't come to the fore since it's WRECKED by the Geordie Power Special. Chezza goes all mental in a high swinging approach which eventually makes Nina's escape mode exposed. A couple of piercing hooks find the temples and stack the actress up in the middle of the ring before a belting hook on the liver area shuts Dobrev for good. The Lookout! brunette wobbles into an uppercut double and her guard is no more which spins the black ponytail around and enables Cole to blast another hook on the mouth sending Nina out to the orbit. She takes a couple of steps to the side but drops her arms alltogether so Chezza performs the coup de grace and nails her on the jaw one last time... DOBREV GOES DOWN as the legs simply give way... she remains slumped on her back with eyes closed and quietly mumbles her departure when the count reaches it's conclusion. Upset KO9 Cheryl Cole!!!

AFTER: That's the most important victory of Chezza's crossover career and doesn't she know it! She screams out repeatedly and plants her foot on the fallen brunette's hip before getting wrestled away by the medical staff. You don't ignore the prettiest girl in the league when she gets knocked out cold like that! LCA head trainer Claudia Schiffer leads the applause and there's nothing wrong with milking the media attention at the end of what must be described as one of the biggest upsets this season so far. Dobrev looked in control for most of the early going and channelled her bantamweight frame to perfection handing Cole a busted up nose along the way. But the Geordie stubborness and punching resistance withstood all the punishment and Cole in general has improved tremendously over the past several months which makes her decision to switch to FCBA full-time look like a genuine steal marketing wise. With the BBU/FCBA crossover PPV scheduled for July, Chezza must be considered a running favorite for Main Event honors; for now she openly talks about taking Lady Gaga to the cleaners next!
