Eiza Gonzalez versus Jaimie Alexander

Pre-fight:
When, Jaimie Alexander booked a title shot against Odette Yustman over Christmas, the FCBA world exploded. Jaimie had only entered the ring a mere four times prior to the title bout. They had all been victories, though not against fighters of the same quality as Yustman. And though Jaimie fell short, she did not embarrass herself or her stable, taking the bout to the 11th round and losing by decision.

In her first fight since that fateful day, Jaimie is looking to rebound against the wiley Eiza Gonzalez. Eiza has won her last two bouts, notably against Alexander’s former stablemate Joss Stone over Christmas, and most recently against Zendaya Coleman.

Eiza looks absolutely magnificent in her little red bikini with white trim. And she has no qualms getting the spectators on-side with a little turn and a cute dance. But when the media gets involved, her game face is right back on.

“I’m confident I can take her,” Eiza states, arms now folded and looking all business. “She was given a shot at being elite, and it was proven to be premature. When I knock her out tonight, do I get a title bout?”

Jaimie is shrugging off the quip, not showing any signs of remorse towards taking the title challenge. “Eiza is tough,” Jaimie nods. “I watched her beat Joss. I’ve seen what she can do. But, I’m tough too, and I learned a lot against Odette. I’m ready to put that into practice tonight.”

Round 1:
Eiza keen to test her fellow rookie’s defences and she rushes in, jabbing with tremendous pace, finding a little temple and cheek in between mostly Jaimie’s guarding leather. But Jaimie returns jabs and snaps Eiza’s head back with a knock on the chin that has her paying attention quickly.

Jaimie tries to push, with a couple of jabs that sting pretty cheek, then a right cross that is narrowly dodged by the shuffling Eiza. Some swift footwork there from Gonzalez, and she then slips left and opens a hook into Jaimie’s fit midsection. A grunt from Jaimie lets her know that works, and Eiza gladly stuffs a few more hooks in, lighting up toned abs.

Jaimie obviously feeling the blows and tries to slow Eiza with a jab at cheek that does so. The follow up is evaded and Eiza comes right back with a left hook to tummy and a straight right to face, putting the leather straight through Jaimie’s mouth.

Jaimie shakes off the shot to gob, but it was a heavy one, and she’s not quick enough to recover into stopping the next hook to ribs. Jaimie is grunting and puffing a little as she takes a seat at the bell, and Eiza looks pretty sharp early.

Round 2:
Both fighters look ready for the second, and Eiza looks to repeat her tactics from the first, happy with the results so far, as she storms in and jabs away like a machine up at Jaimie’s face. Jaimie guarding strongly, taking most on the leather and the rest in stride, and she flashes a quick straight left from guard that bangs into Eiza’s right eye, stunning the sexy Mexican.

Jaimie follows with a straight right to the other eye, and Eiza is stumbling a little, the guard coming up to protect that pretty face. Jaimie gladly shovels an underhook into midriff, and Eiza bends forward, gasping. And with a killer right cross, Jaimie bruises beautiful cheek and sends Eiza staggering towards the ropes.

Jaimie wades in to keep the pressure on, but Eiza suddenly doubles back into a launching right that slams into Jaimie’s left bra cup, jolting the athletic actress. And with a quick left cross, Eiza puts the hurt right back on Jaimie’s face, stinging her right cheek.

Alexander wobbles a little to her left, but still has the presence of mind to duck as a wild haymaker comes crashing over from Eiza. And then with an opening, Jaimie replies in kind, stuffing her right glove hard up into Eiza’s right breast, flattening the lovely jug.

Eiza squeals and tries to pedal away, but Jaimie clips her on the chin with a left hook, and now Eiza really retreats fast, leaning back in the process and just managing to evade the oncoming Alexander combo.

Jaimie curses as she punches holes through thin air, and then the bell rings, taking away her chances of advancing, though giving each woman a well-earned rest.

Round 3:
Both fighters entering the third now seemingly aware of what their opponent is capable of. The third round starts with much more mutual respect than the earlier two, and they each seem to be now trying to think their way through beating such an evenly matched foe.

The two beauties square off in centre-ring, eyes darting and focused. Jaimie jabs first with the right and Eiza evades with a lean, then pops a jab at Jaimie, who catches the mitt on her guard.

The exchange continues at head height with some expert dodging and impressive reflexes, until Eiza ducks and stuffs a fist into Jaimie’s tight midriff once more, testing that torso. It’s fit though, and Jaimie responds by slamming her right down at the top of Eiza’s skull, bouncing her on the spot and rocking her a little.

Eiza wobbles backwards and Jaimie steps in with a huge right… that’s blocked right in front of her jaw by Gonzales! Eiza is pushed further back towards the ropes, but she is still defending deftly and Jaimie can’t seem to find much of a target.

Eiza braves an attack again shortly and whacks at ribs, only to have Jaimie reply, cracking some hard shots against Eiza’s slim sides.

By the time the bell rings, both women are rubbing at sides and tummy, clearly stinging after that wild exchange. Both fit bodies are glistening with sweat and a few bruises are starting to show on midriffs, but they both look exceptionally well-conditioned and ready to get stuck into plenty more.

Round 4:
Jaimie follows the same approach as before, coming in with a high jab, but Eiza shows that tremendous agility again, ducking and banging glove into left side. The fist hits heavy, and Jaimie lets out a cry of pain. Her corner looks worried at the sound, and Eiza may have damaged a rib here. Jaimie in serious discomfort as she tries to pedal away to take stock of her left ribs, but Eiza follows and now stuffs the leather high. Jaimie’s guard a little slow to lift and a right from Eiza smacks crisply into pretty Alexander face, followed by a left that bangs right on her nose.

Jaimie looks dizzy after those last shots and she’s trying to shake her head clear, just as Eiza rips a right hook into left ribs again, really making Alexander howl. The ref looks contemplative, an eye on just how badly banged up Alexander is. But, just as Eiza comes in for another right hook, Jaimie slips right and bangs a left jab into her mouth. It gives her a moment and Jaimie shuffles out of harm’s way, for now.

Alexander rubbing at left rib as she gingerly backs her way around the ring, but her focus sharpens as Eiza comes in again, and she pops a jab up at the centre of Gonzalez’ face.

But, Eiza evades left and busts a left hook into Jaimie’s right breast! With a yelp, Jaimie goes into defence mode and gets the guard in front of her chest. Eiza bangs away high and low, but Jaimie mostly able to read and work the guard, absolutely in survival mode right now.

Jaimie manages to do just that and survives ‘til the bell, though she is really ginger with that left side as she takes a seat, and she is wincing, in a great deal of pain.

Eiza takes a seat in her corner looking focused and driven and really still quite energetic.

Round 5:
Jaimie is careful out of her corner and methodical about the way she is drifting into centre-ring, while Eiza is bouncing on toes, fists ready to go on the hunt. Gonzalez knows she has created a chink in the former title challenger’s armour and now she just has to exploit it.

Eiza in hungry, but steady, not overconfident, and she pops a left jab high to shift into a heavy right hook intended for ribs.

But, Jaimie’s brain is a cut above the rest, and she spots the strategy instantly, evading back from the jab and holding guard tight and low to stuff out the dangerous hook. There is a lot of power behind Eiza’s shot though, and even the dull blow cushioned by her guard has Jaimie grunting in pain.

Eiza tries to bang away again defiantly, but Jaimie holds strong once more, and then jumps right and back again into a completely unexpected, out of the box WILD right haymaker that smashes with full Jaimie Alexander force right into Eiza’s beautiful face, her left eye taking the brunt of the impact.

Eiza is knocked completely loopy, her eye is closed on impact, and she is falling all the way back against the ropes! An incredible turn of events as Jaimie pulls off a real hail-mary.

Poor Eiza is dazed as Jaimie leaps in, banging fists at pretty face and fit torso, alternating with the turtling guard. Eiza bravely tries to pop some shots back, but Jaimie is on an absolute rampage, blocking the attempts and smacking a straight into sweet jug in reply each time, crushing the lovely mounds and making Eiza hesitate before trying that again.

Eiza is completely banged up by the time the bell rings, and that is how quickly a fight can turn, folks. One minute Alexander is on the ropes, completely hurt, ribs in terrible shape, and with one deft shot, it all flips.

Jaimie huffing and puffing, looking well worn as she slowly grunts her way to her corner, holding that troubled left side. Meanwhile, Eiza looks completely startled by the sudden beating as she almost falls into her corner. That poor pretty face beaten black and blue, her corner going to work on her shut left eye.

Round 6:
Eiza is hurting and it is blatantly obvious as she works her way out of her corner for the sixth. Jaimie is wincing her way into mid-ring, and they get straight back into it, Eiza hooking into rib that gets a scream, and Jaimie fighting through the pain to shovel a hook into tummy, wobbling Eiza with a big puff of air.

Then Eiza throws a looping right at temple, and Jaimie blocks and leans into a straight right that smooshes cute little nose, drawing blood and a collective squeal from Gonzalez fans in the audience. Eiza staggers, but valiantly tries to throw a right back. Jaimie catches it with the guard again and now rips a killer right cross straight through chin.

And Eiza is down! Gonzalez spins to her right, trips on her own feet and flops face first to the mat. The audience is up and about on either side as Eiza groans miserably on the canvas. Jaimie gladly leans back against the ropes, blowing air as she watches Eiza futilely fight to pick herself up.

And when the ref hits ten, the most relieved smile ever crosses Jaimie Alexander’s tired features.

Post-fight:
The crowd erupts, and both corners start clambering to get into the ring and help their exhausted fighters, when Alexander lifts a finger, signalling for them to wait. The ABC corner does so, though with a curious look on their faces, and the Odds and Ends corner hesitates, VERY cautiously.

As the entire arena awaits to see what on earth Jaimie has in mind, she staggers over to the still struggling Eiza and takes a knee beside her.

“You fight tough kid,” Jaimie is saying as she wraps an arm around Eiza and starts helping her to stand. “You hit even harder than Odette.”

This brings a smile to Eiza’s banged up but lovely features, and she leans comfortably against Jaimie as the victorious Lightweight helps her talented opponent towards her corner. The crowd is cheering, obviously enjoying a little bit of comradery in the FCBA ring for a change, and also clearly fans of the way both women have handled themselves tonight, both proving beyond doubt that they have the skills needed to make a name for themselves in this highly competitive league.

Post-fight Interviews:
Eiza is sore and groggy, but takes the time to answer what she can. “I see why she was given that title shot now,” Eiza nods gently. “She’s champion material. I guess you have to get in the ring with her to see it. Her skills, focus, determination, smarts, attitude. It’s all there. And I almost had her. I think I’m in good shape going forward.”

Jaimie proud of her win, and equally as respectful towards her opponent. “Eiza is intense,” Jaimie sighs. “She’s quick, she’s nimble, she’s focused, and she just doesn’t say die. And god she can hit hard. I’m waiting on the scans but I think the rib is going to need some healing time. She really got me. She didn’t beat girls like Joss and Zendaya by accident you know. They are quality fighters and she has what it takes. She’s young, she’ll be a champion in the future. I’m sure of it.”
