BEFORE:

"Things did not go well the last time," says Laura with a nod. "My debut in the FCBA and against a top fighter like Gemma Arterton. But, I can hold my own against these FCBA fighters. And I intend to prove that tonight.."

"She's physical," says Anna. "And, she's tough. She's not an easy mark. But, I can go get them."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and..."

McCarthy: "OK, we all know that Torv is one of the few REAL fighters Weirdo has, but, what the heck...go get marks?"

Cassie: "She's talking a bit of Aussie Rules football lingo, Mac..."

McCarthy: "They have different rules for football in Australia? You mean like in Canada where they have three downs and you can get a point if the other team doesn't return a kick?"

Tess: "Something like that..."

O'Dell (sighing): "The song you hear is..."

McCarthy: "TERRIBLE..."

O'Dell (sighing): "The song you hear is...."

McCarthy: "AWFUL..."

O'Dell: "The song you hear is ENTITLED..."

McCarthy: "It's ENTITLED to never be played again. Anywhere. Ever."

O'Dell: "It's 'la solitudine' a huge international hit by the lady coming to the ring right now, Laura Pausini..."

McCarthy: "This should have been played the night Weirdo did that theme with all the terrible music."

Tess: "Pausini, of course, also represents The Latin Union, which is made up of French and Italian fighters. Frege, of course, is French. Laura is Italian."

O'Dell: "And, she's into the ring and helped off with the robe by the corner crew to reveal a lovely purple and white striped two-piece and a body that any 25-year-old would love to have..."

Cassie: "And, Pausini just turned 42."

McCarthy: "Again, nothin' but a number."

O'Dell: " And, that's 'The Pain And The Passion' you hear booming over the sound system, and that means 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv is on her way down the aisle..."

McCarthy: "Like I said, finally a REAL fighter!"

O'Dell: "Anna tapping glove to fist with Mac on the way by the table as usual. Climbs into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. Wearing that black bikini she likes. And, we're about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Anna. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Here's another opponent with NO FCBA wins. But, it wouldn't matter in this case. Torv."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, there's the bell. Pausini wasting no time getting after Torv, she's crowding Anna, wants to bang body, slug and slop. Torv can fight that way, and that's exactly the plan at the moment. Lots of holding and wrestling around, hooks to the body, some shouldering. Not a lot pretty about this..."

Cassie: "But, it can be effective. Both fighters are landing some good shot in there, despite all the wrestling."

O'Dell: "Anna backs up Laura with a nice uppercut, but Pausini right back forward, banging body, tying Torv up, shoving her backward, opening up the body for some hooks. Anna ripping a short left to the ribs and Pausini counters with a right to the head. Lots of heavy leather getting exchanged in there, Mac..."

McCarthy: "No doubt about it. Pausini can hit, but she's not going to out-hit Anna Torv. I've BEEN in the ring with her. She hits as hard as anyone I've ever fought."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch here in the first. Lots of short punches, lots of body work, another tie up in there. Torv shoving off, lands a good right. Pausini fires a combination and landed a good right hand of her own. Five seconds left. Fighter tied up again. Referee breaks them, and there's the bell. Close to Laura."

Tess: "And, not a bad way to start for the underdog."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Pausini forward aggressively again, tying Anna up and hooking her body with the free hand. Torv shoving off, only to get tied up again. Laura so sturdy, it's hard to break free when she clamps you and hard to dislodge her when she has the feet set. Anna does break loose but takes a hard right hand for her efforts..."

Cassie: "That was an EXCELLENT right hand. Backed Anna up a step."

O'Dell: "And Pausini follows with a hard flurry. Torv giving some ground here. Not hurt, but she's getting moved backward now by the sheer volume of stuff Laura's throwing. The brunette getting off lusty right now. Torv backing and circling, trying to manage this, but Pausini's gotten rolling, Mac..."

McCarthy: "Smart stuff from Torv, though. Get some distance, slow this down..."

O'Dell: "Laura continuing to pressure, coming forward hard, working head and body. Torv circling right, jabbing, giving ground in front of the onslaught by the Italian. Laura definitely in rhythm now. Ten seconds to go here in the second, and it's Pausini in control right to the bell. Laura solid, ladies."

Tess: "And she's off to a 20-18 lead, a VERY good start."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round underway with more pressure from Laura. Torv planting the feet, going to that hard left jab, the 'Front Street Jab', trying to create space. Scoring well at range. Pausini forward, pressuring, crowding, some good body work going on inside now. Anna circles away, back to that left jab."

McCarthy: "Going to make Pausini work the feet a little. Good idea. Oh, and, by the way, it's a JAB. Every fighter has one!"

O'Dell: "Little bit of a movement war taking place now. Torv getting some range, scoring points, Laura taking that away, scoring inside. Lots of heavy leather getting traded when they're in close. Meanwhile, Anna able to box for points when she has the brunette out on the edge of her gloves."

Tess: "Pausini proving to be sturdy and rugged, but she does NOT want to box with Torv."

O'Dell: "Definitely a losing game. No question about it. So, the Italian isn't going to play it. She's going to pressure the Aussie, work forward an work hard when she is able to close. And, speaking of closing, we're into the closing seconds of this one in tight quarters. Ribs being hooked. Midsections being punished. And there's the bell. Not much in it, but, Torv."

Cassie: "And that makes it 29-28 after three."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth begin with more pressure from Pausini. Laura determined to bring the physical to Torv. Anna again slowing her with that hard, accurate left, but, Pausini working past, then working body. They're tying up and wrestling in there again like we've seen in the earlier rounds. Referee steps in, breaks them apart."

McCarthy: "He needs to get in there more quickly. Letting these clinches go on too long."

O'Dell: "Anna BANGING that left home, stopping Laura cold with it, but Pausini right back moving in. Torv gives a little ground, lands another solid left and A RIGHT HAND AND LAURA'S HURT. BIG combination Torv and Pausini staggered and a RIGHT HAND AND DOWN GOES LAURA!"

Cassie: "There had to be FIVE big punches in there, and I can't believe Pausini took the first four without tasting canvas!"

O'Dell: "She's down on her back now. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Laura rolls to hands and knees. Pushes to her feet at seven. Referee going to give her the mandatory and waive Torv forward. And, now it's Anna advancing behind the jab, backing up the Italian with hard right hands. She's looking to finish, but she's not going to have the time. There's the bell ending the fourth. Big round for Torv."

Tess: "And, she's got her first lead at 38-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Torv in forward aspect as we begin the fifth round. She's moving in now, looking to consolidate the gains from that big fourth round. Pausini giving ground grudgingly. She's banging back hard at the advancing Anna, as we've switched roles now and it's the Italian trying to slow the oncoming Aussie."

Tess: "And, she's not doing a bad job of it. She's making Torv fight for every inch of canvas."

O'Dell: "And making her pay a price for it, too. Hard right hand counter right there from Pausini. She's got a LOAD of power, no question about that. Torv working her way through heavy shell, backs the Italian up with a right hand, slips a counter and DROPS LAURA WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT!"

Cassie: "What a shot THAT was! A BOOMING right hand that sent Pausini right to her back!"

O'Dell: "Anna quickly to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Laura rolling to her belly at the count of six. Seven. Pausini pushing to her hands and knees now. Eight. The Italian getting to her feet but she crumples back to her knees at nine! TEN! And it's over! And your winner by KO5 is 'The Aussie Enforcer', Anna Torv!"

McCarthy: "Let's check the replay on this one. Watch her slip the counter punch from Pausini and the right's already moving. BOOM! Again, give Pausini credit for being able to get off the mat, even briefly, because a lot of fighters wouldn't have been able to."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Anna Torv, and, Anna, it got physical in there..."

Anna (nodding): "Not surprised. She's a strong, sturdy girl. Hits hard. She can take a punch. She can move you around in there. I expected this kind of fight from her."

Tess: "What's next for you?"

Anna: "Palicki, I hope. I understand she's about ready to get back in the ring, and I'm ready to go when she is."
