BEFORE:

"She's athletic, she's tough, and she's a big hitter," says Moon with a nod. "Sounds a lot like the girl she's about to fight."

"Moon's as good as anyone in the welterweight division," says Kesha. "But, as she's about to find out, so am I."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Fantaisie Impromptu' by Chopin, and that means Bazz's own Moon Bloodgood is headed down to ringside..."

Tess: "Bazz has been on a bit of a losing streak at Asylum lately, Cassie. And, Pointy may have picked the right girl to change all that."

Cassie: "No doubt about it. Moon's a former welterweight champion. There aren't many girls who can find a way to beat her."

O'Dell: "Moon into the ring and helped off with the robe. Wearing that black two-piece we saw in her fight against Prejean..."

McCarthy: "Probably didn't even have to throw it in the laundry, because she didn't break a sweat THAT night..."

O'Dell: "And, that's 'Tik-Tok' you hear pounding through the arena, and here comes the singer of that particular song, 'Six Feet Of Sexy', Kesha!"

Tess: "Wait for it..."

McCarthy: "I'm NOT saying it. And. SHUT UP, WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, while you watch Kesha climb into the ring and be helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that navy blue number she prefers..."

McCarthy: "And showing off a body only a mother could love..."

O'Dell: "Ladies about ready. Let's get some picks. Tess favors Moon. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Bloodgood's a little overrated. She's no Big Bad Gena Lee. BUT. She can beat this more overrated Dancing Hooker ANY day!"

O'Dell: "Cassie, do I need to ask?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway in the first. Kesha going right to the Front Street jab, which, in her case is a RIGHT jab, since she's a southpaw, but Moon not thinking ranged warfare. Bloodgood coming forward behind her own left, looking to bring the physical and back Kesha up. Blonde responding with some heavy leather, and we've got some BIG exchanges early..."

Cassie: "Not many girls who'd try these kind of tactics against Kesha, but Moon's a girl who's big enough and strong enough to do it."

O'Dell: "And, she IS doing it. She's backing Kesha up and she ROCKS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND! Bloodgood wobbles Kesha in the first and the brunette going right to work trying to finish this thing. Moon THUMPING away with both hands, driving the blonde to the ropes and battering her..."

McCarthy: "I TOLD you Bloodgood win this thing...but, even I didn't figure she'd do it this quickly."

O'Dell: "Moon with a SOLID right hand and Kesha wobbled again! Referee going to watch this closely now, as Bloodgood getting off very lustily. Kesha in a tight earmuff, jabbing back in spots, rolling with punches, looking to hang on. Ten seconds left, and she's going to do it. One more flurry from Moon and there's the bell. Bloodgood wide in the first."

Tess: "Kesha did VERY well to make it through that round. VERY well."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second underway and Moon looking to consolidate in a big way. She's forward, backing Kesha up with heavy leather. The blonde on the defensive. Giving ground slowly but inexorably before the brunette onslaught. Moon sound here. Setting up her punches, but willing to commit on them..."

Cassie: "Never see anything sloppy from Moon. She's an athlete and a good fighter. She's not just a big hitter like some welterweights."

O'Dell: "And, you're seeing that now, as she works both hard and smart and KESHA ROCKS HER ANYWAY! A left-hand counter from the blonde and now Moon is hurt! Kesha putting the brunette offensive to rout now, banging away with both hands, forcing Bloodgood back and trapping her on the cables..."

Tess: "Complete 180 from last round! Not sure when the last time was we saw two girls with this much one-punch power in the ring at Asylum..."

O'Dell: "Maybe never. And, indeed it is a complete 180, because it's now Bloodgood covering up while Kesha gets off heavy. And, the referee again watching very closely. Blonde looking to finish, but Moon showing excellent defensive skills, picking off punches, slipping others. Plenty still getting through, though, as Kesha cleans up to the bell. Second goes wide to the blonde."

McCarthy: "19-19 after two. This one's not lacking in action, at any rate."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third begins with the ranged boxing Kesha was looking for early on. Bloodgood still likely a little unsteady on those legs, so she's not pushing forward, and, as a result, the blonde getting the terms she wants. Kesha getting that big right jab on target, then following on with left hands..."

Tess: "No surprise that a rangy girl like Kesha likes to be able to extend. Thought she might try to follow up some this round, though."

O'Dell: "No question she's playing the long game here, and that might be more about respect for Bloodgood and her power than anything else. Kesha having the better of things on these terms, though Moon beginning to get into the round as it goes on and her legs return. There's a GOOD right hand Bloodgood and Kesha is wobbled and DOWN SHE GOES! Bloodgood a quick three-punch flurry and Kesha dropped to her back!"

Cassie: "That's the power we've been talking about. She can take you out at ANY time!"

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Kesha to all fours. Seven. Eight. And the blonde pushes to her feet. Referee going to give her the mandatory and waive Moon forward. Bloodgood firing away with both hands. Kesha backed to the ropes for the second time in three rounds. Moon getting off big, but time going to run out. There's the bell. Bloodgood 10-8."

McCarthy: "29-27, Moon, but the way she's hitting, we aren't going to need the cards."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Moon right back at Kesha to start the fourth. The brunette bullying the blonde backward now, showing all that physicality we've been talking about. She's working upstairs and down, slowly driving the Front Streeter back to the ropes and going to work. Kesha on the defensive, keeping the guard high..."

Cassie: "Moon just clinical right now, every jab sets up a hard right hand. She's determined to finish this right now."

O'Dell: "Kesha keeping the guard up, leaning back into the ropes, countering here and there, looking to survive the onslaught. Moon picking up the pace and GOING DOWN! LEFT HAND COUNTER FROM KESHA DROPS MOON TO HER RUMP! Bloodgood shaking her head, dazed, as Kesha goes to a neutral corner..."

Tess: "Can we have these two fight EVERY month?"

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Moon to her feet, still shaking her head. Never saw that one coming. Referee gives her the mandatory and on comes Kesha. Big K now getting physical, banging away, backing up Bloodgood. Moon giving ground behind some cover fire, backed to the ropes for the final seconds. Kesha thumping away right to the bell and there it is. 10-8, Kesha!"

McCarthy: "37-37 after four, but, like I said, we're wasting time keeping score..."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with Kesha now pressuring. She's not going to go to the ranged boxing like in the third. She wants to consolidate at worst now. She's coming forward behind that big right jab. Bloodgood being forced back. Kesha sitting down on her punches now. Making Moon take some leather and DOWN GOES KESHA! What a right hand from Bloodgood and the blonde blown to her back!"

Cassie: "This is what I TOLD you about Moon's power. She can take you out at ANY time."

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Kesha sitting up at seven. She's going to struggle to beat this. Eight. Nine. And she DOES it! Kesha on her feet before the count of ten."

McCarthy: "SLOW COUNT!"

O'Dell: "Referee giving Kesha the mandatory, thinking about whether this is going to continue..."

McCarthy: "He's bought and paid for! He won't stop it!"

O'Dell: "And he waives Moon forward. Bloodgood all in immediately. She's determined to finish this right now. Kesha backed up quickly, ends up on the ropes, where she's going to take a beating for certain. Referee looking in, seemingly ready to move every time Moon lands something. The blonde taking the licking and still ticking, rolling with, jabbing back. Moon winging away with both hands right to the bell, but, there it is and Kesha still on her feet! Another big round for Bloodgood."

Tess: "Moon now back in front 47-45."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Back to action in the sixth. Bloodgood slowly forward. Moon looking a big arm weary right now. She's jabbing effectively, but not very busy right now. Kesha conducting the proverbial fighting retreat, giving ground slowly, landing punches as she does so. Action has definitely slowed in this round..."

Tess: "Not a surprise. This is welter, where workrates generally aren't as high, and we've seen a LOT of punches thrown in the first half of this fight."

O'Dell: "Still plenty of power behind the punches that are being thrown, though. Moon continuing to come forward. Kesha seeming to get some of the legs back now. She's able to back and circle somewhat, staying off the ropes, but Moon still the aggressor here, still able to grab canvas and get Kesha on the back foot..."

Cassie: "Bloodgood settling this down right where she wants it. She's in forward aspect, has Kesha on the defensive."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Kesha landing a solid combination in counter. Her best punches of the round. Moon slowed, but not stopped. Bloodgood has closed distance now, getting physical in there. Kesha tying her up. Both girls working a little body. Five seconds left in the sixth, and there's the bell. Close round to Moon."

McCarthy: "And, Bloodgood now on top 57-54 with four to go."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh underway with Moon coming forward again. She's determined to keep the momentum going now, after having it taken away twice earlier in the fight. The big brunette just VERY physical at the moment, BANGING out that left jab, RIPPING rights in behind it, forcing Kesha slowly back..."

McCarthy: "Bloodgood stays on the front foot, she's got this won. Can't win off the back foot at welter. Not going to happen."

O'Dell: "Moon again closing distance now, working some body. Kesha responding in kind and then STAGGERING MOON WITH A LEFT HOOK! Bloodgood GOBSMACKED as Kesha drops a short left onto her chin! And, the momentum switches yet again! The blonde right over to the offensive, driving the brunette's forces before her..."

Cassie: "Moon's OK here if she keeps the guard up. The legs are a little balky, but she's as sturdy as it gets in the FCBA."

O'Dell: "Kesha playing this smart, setting up punches, slowly working Moon back to the ropes and then having at her. Bloodgood keeping the guard high so Kesha goes body, ripping short hooks home, forcing Moon to crouch to protect herself. Blonde responds with hooks to the head. She's working hard to get Bloodgood out of there, but, it's not going to happen. There's the bell. Kesha wide, but Moon still on her feet."

Tess: "66-64 for Bloodgood with three rounds left."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "We've made it through seven rounds, and the way these ladies have been hitting, that ranks as an upset. Momentum, as we said, has swung back to Kesha, but, for the second time tonight, the blonde not pressing forward in a situation like this. Instead, she wants to work at range, extend on her punches..."

McCarthy: "And, again, this is STUPID. She's down two points. She ought to be trying to finish here."

O'Dell: "Kesha working that heavy jab. Bloodgood mostly on the defensive here early. She's countering well, but it's the blonde who's fighting lead. She's getting punches put together as well as she has in the fight, getting hard left hands on, but taking hard right hands in counter from Moon..."

Tess: "These may be the best two-way exchanges we've seen tonight. Some SHARP stuff being landed in there."

O'Dell: "HARD right from Bloodgood and a BOOMING LEFT FROM KESHA AND DOWN GOES MOON! Bloodgood blasted to her back by that overhand left. Kesha to a neutral corner. Count is at three. Four. Five. Bloodgood not moving at all here, gang. Six. Seven. Eight. Moon still flat on her back. Nine. TEN! And it is OVER! The Hammer lands and it's over! And your winner by KO8 in one-punch fashion is 'Six Feet Of Sexy', Kesha!"

Cassie: "That's a Fight Of The Year candidate."

Tess: "No doubt about it."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kesha, and that was something in there tonight..."

Kesha (nodding): "It was always going to be like that, I figured. I mean, she can hit. I can hit. It was going to come down to who landed something the other girl couldn't get up from."

Tess: "I guess this answers any questions about whether or not you can compete in this division..."

Kesha: "I never HAD any questions about that. But, if OTHER people did, then, yeah, I don't think they do anymore."
