Intro:
The first semi-final in the "New blood" welterweight tournament, sees a model from Victoria Secret against a model from Sports Illustrated.
Most people assume that any girl from each would be natural rivals, that's mostly because of rumours in the media of clashes between models in nightclubs that have modelled for each company.
Well these two haven't got that memo as when the balls with their names were drawn together at the press conference for the tournament; the two ladies smiled at each other.
Even more surprising to the media assembled, the two hugged as they were ushered to the podium to speak.
The sight of the hug showed the contrast between the two women in builds; Karlie is tall, lithe and toned, while Bo is equally tall but is built compact and of course the jug difference is noticible.
Of course this isn't a JMD tournament so that last factor won't be that big a factor.
Karlie speaks to the media first saying "wow, I'm so happy Bo's my first opponent in the ring as I have such respect for her, I mean she's so kind and a real genuine person that it's hard to hate her."
Continuing she adds while pointing up and down Bo "she's going to be a perfect test as well since look at her, she's built like a tank in a good way I promise but Bo I have to win, this is a tournament to get our names out there and it's too important to lose."
Bo nods and smiles as she goes to the podium to say her bit.
"Well my English isn't good but Karlie is big, she's cute as you'd say I think, in ring I do best to win but no hard feelings after I hope."
Karlie just smiles as Bo is hoping that went well; the two embrace once again before the photos are taking of the two posing face to face smiling.
The fight looked to be cancelled as Bo was signed up to Los Ignobernales after the 1st of July PPV.
Tournament organisers at the Girls Friday stable quickly released a statement saying "while the tournament is for free agents, we will not be cancelling the fight between Bo and Karlie due to short notice and a lack of a sub to replace her at this short a time frame"
On fight night in the arena, Bo enters first wearing a black robe with Bo in big white letters on the back.
She has Stephanie McMahon walking her down to the ring looking regal in a navy blue dress and heels.
Bo enters the ring to a loud applause as she beams her winning smile to the crowd.
Stephanie tells referee Brooke Shields to take Bo's robe off for her girl.
Brooke's eyes narrow towards Stephanie but she does as she's told as an incident of her knocking out a manager wouldn't go down well.
As the robe comes off; Bo shakes her upper body making her juggs dance under her black one piece swimsuit with Bo written on in white to go with her black shoes.
The crowd cheer louder as Stephanie smirks knowing her idea would get the crowd on Krsmanovic's side.
Out comes Karlie; she has a white robe on with Kloss written on the back in a design that's supposed to look like it's written in lipstick.
She high fives the crowd as she comes down to the ring and shakes her robe off on the ring steps to reveal her attire of a white one piece swimsuit with her white shoes.
Both women get their gloves on in their corners; Bo with black gloves, Karlie with red gloves.
Gumshields are put in and the two head to the ring centre for the final instructions from Shields.
The sight of these three women is amazing as Bo and Karlie smile and gently touch gloves.
Expect that to be the last gentle touch as ten rounds in the welterweight division begins now.

Round 1:
Tense start from both women who certainly respect the other as they both throw testing jabs to the others guard early in the round.
Stephanie is shouting from ringside for Bo to get stuck in as she's taking more jabs cleanly to the face.
Bo evidentally realises that Stephanie is right as Krsmanovic does as she's been described and charges into Karlie like a tank.
She lands several hooks to the body of Karlie, who shows her own speed to get out of range soon afterwards.
But you can see the effect those punches had as Karlie's face was screwed up in pain.
Bo tries the same tactic again but instead gets picked off with that jab again as now Bo retreats slightly, certainly not enjoying being bopped on her nose.
The two circle each other trying to work out how to hurt the other badly and it's Karlie who thinks she's worked it out first.
She puts her jab out to guage the range then throws a hard hook that Bo just manages to dodge out the way off.
Then Bo manages to get at the unbalanced Karlie to lay in some heavy punches to the body.
Karlie manages to clinch up with Bo whose trying to free her arms to keep attacking.
But the bell rings and as Brooke rushes in to separate the two, the battlers actually do it themselves with Karlie and Bo exchanging a fist bump to shock Shields even more.
Brooke thinks "well I hope it stays this civil throughout, it'll certainly make my job easier"
Round 2:
Both women come out knowing what they can do to win this now after the first round feeling out process.
Karlie is trying to keep to the outside, out of the power of Bo, she has with her jab being thrown like a cobra striking, to boxing puriests it's a thing of beauty.
But to the Latin style boxing fans; Bo's tactics of taking a few jabs to get on the inside to whip some hooks to the body and some upwards to the cheeks of Karlie is even more beautiful.
Karlie is back pedaling again to try and keep that range but Bo is happily taking these shots that haven't got Kloss's full strength behind them to get at that body to chop the tall blonde tree down.
Half way through the round, Bo manages to shove Karlie to the ropes, who in turn does her best to guard against the hard body shots that Bo is throwing.
The blonde attempts to throw that jab again to get off the ropes but Bo keeps throwing a looping hook to the space left behind to Kloss's face.
Again Karlie manages to clinch up against the big brunette as she tries to stop being hit with such hard punches.
Brooke separates the two and Karlie is happy to be off the ropes as her left side of her face shows reddening from the hooks Bo was able to throw and her white swimsuit covers whatever damage she's taking to her body.
She manages to hold off another charge by Bo with jabs and straights to the bell.
Both women nod to the other as they return to their corners, but it's certainly Bo whose the happier of the two.
Round 3
Bo comes rushing out again, thinking she's gotten Karlie scared.
But between the rounds, Karlie's corner team has been telling her to stand her ground and rifle punches into Bo instead of fighting purely on the back foot.
So as Krsmanovic gets into range, it's Karlie whose throwing the heavy punches coming forward, rocking Bo slightly whose more shocked then really hurt.
Bo does manage to get back to the body after her face takes a beating and both are showing their gumshields as they're fully into this fight now.
Karlie shoves Bo backwards to create space and lands two hard hooks that send Bo backwards to the ropes.
But Bo whose temper is growing races back at Karlie and the two nearly smack body to body as they seek to dominate the other.
Clinching up, a word isn't spoken but looking into their eyes shows the determination both have.
Brooke has a slightly harder time separating the two of them but they do continue to follow the rules and break apart without incident.
Both go back to the jab as they reassess each other and hate to admit to themselves that this is even tougher than they expected it to be.
Bo tries a late charge in the round but a hard straight deters her and Karlie is the one on the attack to the bell.
Round 4:
Bo again is trying to get back to the inside of Karlie's reach but is taking too many shots to her face for her liking.
Stephanie can see swelling forming on Bo's face from all the punches she's taken up to this point.
Karlie is happy for the pace to slow down as she continues to edge forward, guard high in case of any counter attack from the brunette while continuing to throw that jab with unnerving precision.
That could be more down to Bo being used to JMDD action and fighting on the inside, that an outside type boxer is confusing her.
For Bo's part she is still seeking to throw to Karlie's body but keeps getting shot down when a straight punch is smacking her head.
Stephanie is shouting at Bo to get back at Karlie, to which Bo thinks to herself "if only it was that easy."
Bo does manage near the end of the round to smack Karlie across her cheek and a hook to the body, Karlie is heard groaning loudly at the impacts.
At the bell both women hold back punches they were throwing and turn back to their corners.
Brooke looks at both women ands smiles at them for being so sporting.
But she also can see that both are taking some punishment, with Bo's face swelling up, especially her nose.
While Karlie has puffy cheeks and she's starting to breath heavier as those body shots begin to wear her out.
Round 5:
The crowd cheer as both women come out for the round, both women have a large following of fans.
Karlie tries to keep the tempo at a good speed but not hectic, while Bo notices this and wonders "is this my chance?"
Bo does her best to lure Karlie in by seemingly retreating towards the ropes, then she strikes forward under a jab thrown by Karlie.
Kloss is stunned as Bo rams several hooks to the body that makes the tall blonde gasp in pain.
She retreats backwards but Bo is giving chase and trying to land haymakers to end this now.
The crowd are up as they think something major is about to happen here.
Karlie is breathing hard as Bo manages to pin her to the ropes with a barrage of punches.
Brooke is watching closely to the action as she doesn't want to see either of these two seriously hurt.
Karlie manages to get a jab out then clinches up with Bo who screams her frustration out after having the advantage.
The two are wrestling in the clinch as Bo tries to escape but Karlie is again able to keep Bo's arms relatively secure and only takes a few digging punches which don't have much power behind them.
As they're separated Krsmanovic looks a little tired as her arms are sagging a little from throwing so many punches.
The final thirty seconds sees Karlie storm forward now and slams hard straights into the nose of Bo till the bell.
Brooke shouts time as the two boxers look each other up and down to see the damage they've done.
Bo wipes her nose as Brooke notes its starting to bleed from that last salvo off of Karlie.
Who herself is going to feel the pain through her body for awhile yet.
Round 6
Bo's nose was stopped bleeding and the brunette doesn't look too worried about it as she steps up to try to beat Karlie once again.
But Karlie isn't as complacent as the last round, the tall blonde is pushing Bo back under hard shots that makes the brunette's nose bleed again.
Bo is trying to lure Karlie in again but Kloss isn't buying it again and simply takes the centre of the ring and is happy to bash Bo around the outside.
Krsmanovic is getting annoyed again as her attempts to get on the inside are taking their toll on her.
Karlie lands a chopping right that knocks Bo to the ropes and again Brooke is close by to see if Bo is finished.
But Bo manages to clinch up in desperation, as the two women clinch up, Karlie looks down to see some of Bo's blood smear the bust of her white swimsuit and she feels sorry for her for a moment, then steels herself as she has to win.
The two are separated and Bo does manage to land several body shots but a straight right to the bridge of Bo's nose makes her retreat with tears in her eyes.
The bell rings with Bo taking another punch to her face and the crowd wonder how much more she can take there as her team desperately get to work on her nose.
Karlie shuts her eyes in her corner as she knows she must remain focused, even against someone she likes as much as Bo.
Round 7:
Brooke checks on Bo who still has some blood running from her nose and asks "can you continue or is your nose badly hurt?"
Bo says "I've fought with worse, I continue" Brooke nods and waves the two to get it on.
Karlie puts her fist out to show respect for Bo coming out who smiles and bumps fists, then they both get serious and it's on again.
Bo is trying to keep her guard high to protect her nose while throwing straight rights.
Karlie steels herself and the first hook she throws ploughs around the guard of Krsmanovic to her left cheek that makes Bo's knees wobble.
Bo takes another hard right to her stomach that winds her and as she attempts the clinch Kloss slams a hard hook straight to the temple of Bo that shuts her eyes and sents her down after a minute of the round.
Karlie shuts her eyes hoping that it's over as she doesn't want to have to seriously hurt Bo.
Bo is stirring from her back as Brooke reaches 4; then she gets to her side at 7 but she's too woozy to get back up and mercifully the 10 count comes.
Winner: Karlie Kloss round 7 K.O.

After:
Brooke helps Bo back to her corner to get checked on as the announcer shouts "your winner and advancing to the final! Karlie Kloss!"
Karlie gets her gloves taken off and quickly goes to check on Bo to make sure she hasn't seriously hurt her.
Stephanie at first steps up to Karlie, wanting to lecture her how lucky she was but as she sees the look of worry on Kloss's face, she whispers "you can speak to Krsmanovic, only because I can see that you really do care."
Karlie nods her thanks as she kneels near Bo while a medic finishes checking her over then says "nothing rest and a week off sparring won't fix, just be careful with your nose ok?"
Bo nods as she turns to Karlie and the two look at each other slightly tearful at first then they smile and gently hug.
"I'm going to win this tournament for us both babe" says Karlie as Bo nods her approval and whispers "you win, I know it"
Karlie nods her thanks as Stephanie interrupts saying "Karlie, the media want to speak to you, me and Bo will go now."
Bo looks sad at Stephanie who groans and says "I think Bo would like to celebrate your win tonight, come to my V.I.P locker room after ok?"
Karlie says "thanks" as Bo has a beaming smile belittling the fact that she'd been the loser.
An interviewer and cameraman come over to speak to Karlie.
First he asks "how hard was that fight?" Karlie replies "extremely, Bo is a tough woman and a hard hitter, I'm so proud of myself for being able to win."
Then he asks "who do you want to fight out of Giga Hadid or Chanel Iman?"
Karlie answers "either will do, I like to think I'm a nice girl but both of them rub me up the wrong way and I'd love to take either on."
"Last question, what does this tournament and winning it mean to you?" asks the interviewer.
"Well I would love to find management but the end goal is it use this tournament as a spring board to greater things like the welterweight title." Karlie smiles as she waves to the crowd and can't wait to party with Bo later tonight.
