(Free agent vs Girls Friday)

Intro:

The first bout of this special in St.James park is between Geordie Shores own Marnie Simpson and Girls Fridays Emily Atack.

Marnie was a former Miss Newcastle which may surprise people and she wants to use this card to improve her career outside of Geordie Shore.

While Emily is an actress most famous for being in the inbetweeners, her boxing career around that time was at it's peak as she won the BBU flyweight title, now she's treading water results wise.

At the press conference in St.James itself, the look on both women's faces show that this means a lot to them.

After the weigh in was completed and the two posed nose to nose, you can see the training both have put into this event.

Both are toned up and look physically impressive for being flyweights.

Both were expected to say something to the media but they were too busy in the stare down to care about the press.

In fact a brawl almost erupted as they edged closer and bumped bodies, security dived in as they were about to throw punches.

Fight night now, the ring has been set up in the centre of the stadium to a sold out crowd.

Marnie is the first out in all black attire, she's wearing a sports bra and tight shorts with her gloves on, barefoot for this bout as requested by the Geordie Shore team.

She gets a mixed response from the crowd as some people love them and some hate them in the North East.

Emily comes out next to a similar reaction, while she trains in Newcastle, she's still a Luton girl and some Geordie's evidentially prefer someone whose actually from there and not an adopted Geordie.

Emily enters the ring in similar attire except hers is all pink.

The two pace in their corners as they stare daggers at each other.

They're ushered to the ring centre for final instructions and with a hard touch of gloves, they return to their corners.

10 rounds of flyweight action ahead.

Round 1:

"Ding" out come the boxers, both with good guards as surprisingly they don't just rush each other.

Evidentially this is about proving themselves as much as destroying each other in the ring.

The blonde is giving away an inch in height but Marnie doesn't care to use that slight advantage.

Instead both are happy to bang away at the other while dancing around each other.

The two show good footwork and patience early as they seek to test the other out at this stage.

Emily lands the first meaningful punches with a good left/right combo that smacks around the guard of Marnie.

Who just as impressively throws her own combo up between the gloves of Emily.

They continue the probing attacks to the bell, both slowly lower their guards as they stare at each other with questioning eyes.

Round 2:

Both seem happier to throw harder leather at each other now as they start planting their feet more to land punches.

Marnie is keep trying to land an uppercut through Emily's gloves but the blonde sees those punches easily and fires hard hooks to Marnie's face in reply.

Emily seems to be controlling the action now as she seeks to keep making Marnie make mistakes.

Marnie isn't using her strengths to their best and it's costing her this round as the bell goes.

The brunette shakes her head at the open ceiling to the sky as Emily smiles for the first time since setting her eyes on Marnie.

Round 3:

The lass from South Shields comes out more direct which judging from Emily's face she's happy about.

The two almost clash head to head as they dig in fists against the others body.

The crowd is cheering the two on as they push and shove each other to get a better angle at the others body.

Groans can be heard as they're stuck in this dance for supremacy against the other.

After half the round, they have to clinch but even in the clinch, they're trying to outdo each other.

The ref has to pull them apart as their eyes lock on again and they return to throwing hard shots to each other.

Sweat is forming on their bodies as well as bruising as they almost scream at each other as they punch.

The bell rings with the two still throwing stubby punches into the other, seconds rush out to drag them back to their corners.

Round 4:

Back they go to brawling around the ring, both are throwing short hooks to the body then trying to change it up by throwing a few head shots.

Marnie doesn't seem at all scared to fight like this and that just spurs Emily on even more to try and hurt her opponent.

But that leads to Emily making a mistake with a wild hook to the head of the younger brunette who manages to duck and deliver a hard hook of her own to the blondes cheek.

Emily is rattled as she wobbles backwards towards the ropes and takes another hard straight that knocks her head back and her body to the canvas.

Marnie almost shouts "get in" just holding her excitement as she watches Emily to see what's going to happen.

The ref is up to 3 as Emily sits up, her lip is bleeding where that last straight punch caught her and she shakes her head to clear the cobwebs.

At 7 she makes it up to Marnie's shock but Emily would tell her she's been hit with worse, whether that's true or not only Emily knows.

What Marnie knows is to attack when given the chance and she charges after a retreating Emily, who throws her jab out to create space.

The bell rings and the ref holds Marnie back to stop her chasing Emily around.

Round 5:

Emily is certainly now on the defensive as Marnie is making rookie mistakes by charging after her rival, instead of working out how to corner her and end this bout.

The blonde showing her greater experience as she clinches up when the Geordie lass gets within any serious range to her.

Then anytime they get broken apart, she gets back to a safe distance to jab and parry any shots coming at her.

Marnie's corner shout at her to slow down as she's wasting energy but she keeps going with this blind come forward at all costs attack that isn't working.

The bell rings with the crowd on Marnie's side shouting "coward!" At Emily, while Atack's fans are happy she seems to have regrouped somewhat.

Round 6:

Marnie is starting to breath harder after that round and Emily is happy to come forward again after clearing her head after her knock down.

Jabbing away at Marnie to work out a way of getting the knock out herself, Emily is shoving back a seemingly resting Simpson.

After several hooks get to Marnie's body she takes a knee to the surprise of the crowd.

Spitting her gumshield out at 2, she's sucking in air as she stares at Emily whose conflicted whether she wants the brunette to stay down or get up.

She gets her answer at 8 as Marnie is back up, the ref checks her as she gets a breather and a new gumshield.

Emily comes forward but Marnie shocks her by coming forward herself, showing she wasn't as badly hurt as it appeared.

The two stand and trade again till the bell, both step back to look at the damage they've dealt.

Emily's lip is bleeding in a steady stream, her left eye is bruised and she's starting to breath hard.

Marnie has a cut under her right eye while her lefts swelling, she's still breathing hard herself, both are bruised to the body.

Round 7:

Out they come, the betting odds were that Emily would win without five rounds, so as you can see nobody expected it to last this long.

Both keep coming forward and clashing up body to body nearly to land looping hooks around guards again to try to hurt the other badly.

They clinch up to take a breather as they whisper to each other "to go down" as they're getting desperate.

Marnie seems to break the slatemate by landing a hard straight punch to the abs of Emily who moans and clinches as best she can with her opponent.

Both look like they've been drinking and they want to dances as they sway slightly together in a sweaty embrace.

The ref pulls them apart and Marnie is landing the harder punches at this stage of the fight as Emily's left eye is swelling shut.

The bell rings with them locked together again with the ref having to get between them again.

Round 8:

Emily is visibly the weaker of the two and it shows as she tries to take the fight to Marnie and instead is getting rocked around the ring.

Marnie is using what strength she has left to throw hooks to the cheeks of Emily that has her wobbling around the ring.

Then a right hook connects to the blondes left eye and down she goes in a heap.

The ref begins to count as he checks her and at 7 waves the fight off as Emily isn't going to get up.

Winner: Marnie Simpson K.O round 8

After:

Marnie leans against the ropes staring hatefully down at Emily, the crowd seem to unite slightly more with Marnie, with now only a small part of the crowd still booing her.

Emily is checked on by a doctor as she starts coming around from being knocked down.

Her good right eye focuses on Marnie and it's pure hatred being thrown back at the South Shields lass.

The brunette gets her gloves taken off then she gets a microphone as she walks towards Emily who hasn't the strength to get up.

Marnie pulls the blonde by the hair and forces her onto all fours.

Then she stands with each leg either side of Emily's body with her hand still pulling Emily's hair so her face is towards the camera.

"If any fellow flyweight wants a crack, just remember what I did here, that goes for that bytch Perrie Edwards, I'd love a go at you pet, call me if you want to dance on South Shields beach." Says Marnie as she drops the mic and throws a slap to Emily's face to make her point.

Marnie leaves Emily laying on the canvas as she waves to the crowd and blows kisses to the young men in the crowd.

Emily is helped out the ring by her flyweight stablemates Ivana Baquero and Maisie Williams who were in the crowd to learn off her.
