Candice Swanepoel (FCBA 15-24-1, 7 KO; Other 0-1) vs. Jessica Gomes (FCBA 0-1)

Swanepoel: 27y/o, 5'10, 119#, [32B]; Gomes: 30 y/o, 5'10, 125#, [32C]

(Foxfire Boxing vs. Los Ingobernales: Equipo Secundario)

Result: Lookout!/Story: Floatzelclub (Los Ingobernales)

There are similarities abound between these two beauties. Both Jessica and Candice are coming off JMDD debut losses to Los Ingobernales members in some way: Stephanie McMahon for Jessica and Bo Krsmanovic for Candice. Both fighters want to prove their worth in their stable, with Jessica wants to prove her worth in the Secundario ranks and hopefully get promoted to the main roster, and Candice wanting to show her JMDD talents compared to Claire Sinclair and Alexandra Daddario. Finally, Candice earnestly wishes to get revenge from Bo and challenge Charlotte McKinney for the JMDD title down the line, meaning that it’s up to Jessica to halt her in that path.

Jessica Gomes is wearing, like the last fight, a bright orange collection; one-piece swimsuit, gloves, and mouthpiece, with her hair in a fishtail braid. Candice Swanepoel is changing it up a little with a pure white sports bra and gray shorts, her hair down and wearing white gloves with wings on them. Jessica has Genevieve Morton in her corner while Candice has Claire Sinclair in hers.

Round 1: As soon as the bell rings, Jessica starts out by firing away full steam ahead, disorienting Candice very early with a barrage of brute force punches. Candice tries to defend all that she can, but she quickly can’t keep up with Jessica’s close-range attacks. Her 5'10" height, while useful for attacking at range, means that she has to sacrifice defense; as a result, leaving her wide open for Jessica to take action. Candice starts to figure the LI house style out as the bell rings, solidly going to Gomes.

Round 2: In the second series, Candice uses her height to her advantage with medium- and far- ranged shots before Jessica can get comfortable, picking her apart with ease. Every time Jessica tries to fire back and charge in, Candice just backs away and attacks her gut mostly. It’s a rather slow-moving round, with Candice winning.

Round 3: Right away in the first few seconds, Jessica gets lucky with a chest shot and nearly flattens Candice’s left boob. As a result, Candice spends this round much like the first, trying to cover up and failing. She hasn’t been exposed to as much JMDD training as Jessica because of Foxfire’s general focus compared to Los Ingobernales, so Jessica just chews her up. The only silver lining that Sinclair can point out to Candice is how quickly Gomes is tiring herself out attacking in full force, like the Stephanie fight. Nevertheless, Jessica still wins the round soundly.

Round 4: Like Claire predicted, all the beating taking place last round tired Jessica out to the point that she wasn’t able to continue the pace for this series. This is allowing Candice to come back strong with a huge right cross to the head early on and then all range after that, landing more crosses and uppercuts to Jessica’s cheeks and chin as well as a flurry in the third minute to her breasts, just throwing her anger out at Gomes, who can barely defend. Tremendous round for Candice, since it brings her back in the fight.

Round 5: Almost halfway through the match, and Jessica is struggling to stay alive here. She rushes forward and plays a full offense gameplan for the entire round, chasing a knockout to win. Seeing her objective, Candice throws away any idea of working inside and sticks to Jessica’s edges, dancing around the ring to deny Jessica any hope of a win. Even though she comes out of it worse for wear, it works for the Foxfire team, and they shut down Jessica entirely.

Round 6: After the last round, Jessica barely has the energy to stand and get off her stool, but she decides to keep going on the urging of her dear friend Genevieve. Unfortunately for Jessica, the round goes probably as poorly as predicted, with Candice toying with her at the range the entire time, before finally putting her down with a crushing right breast punch! Jessica makes an effort to move and rise again, but she can’t get off her knees at the ten count.

With a good victory on the road of this seemingly Foxfire/PLP vs. Los Ingobernales feud, Candice offers just to walk away after downing Jessica. “After all, what do I have to gain with a smother? Embarrass myself like Theron did before? As if! Just let me walk away in peace.” She answered when a reporter asked why she spared Jessica. The Secundario group isn’t doing the greatest so far, but luck can always change!
